Oh man, i love your stories and themes, i discovered your stories a few days ago and i already read this one and "A Diplomatic Mission" thrice, even though i'm not into monster girls (and if i now am, i'ts your fault ;) )
I really loved the characters (expecially Cyrene and Alexis in this one, as well as Severa in that one(i would have loved to see more Gareth-Severa interaction honestly)), and as an aspiring worldbuilder myself, i found the twists on some of the fantasy tropes and your worldbuilding ideas extremely interesting.
May i ask if i can take inspirations to inform my own world Harpies and Arachnes ? (Obviously cleaned from the *ahem* adult content)
Author's Response:
If one of these stories inspires you take it and run with it, I've "borrowed" plenty of ideas over the course of writing these. I'm glad you liked this and Diplomatic Mission! If you liked those you might check out my other story Conquest of Earth which is a sci-fi tale with many of the same themes. Thanks for the review, hope you enjoy the rest of my work!

Another good story. Meghan ended up being the most interesting character imo. She spends most of the story protecting her own self interests, but was willing to try the potion on herself by the end. That was a nice little character arc.
Alarica being the lich was pretty obvious and Albert not suspecting her almost seemed a bit out of character, but maybe he was overconfident because he thought the kingdom's last major problem had just been solved. Can't really blame him, he was in way over his head the whole time. He did damn good job solving the kingdom's problems anyways, really punching above his weight.
I've been wondering since the first chapter if this was in the same world as A Diplomatic Mission. The setting and time period seemed pretty similar. It's nice to see that confirmed. There's no real downside to doing so, since it's not like there's any obligation to mix the two stories, but it does leave the door open for it if an idea pops up.
Author's Response:
The way I try to write Albert is that he'll always try to sidestep a problem if he can, that leads to a sort of mental blind spot where if someone says "the lich is dead!" he's not going to dwell on it much, even when he maybe should. Glad you liked how Meghan's story played out, it was fun writing her as a self interested and almost cowardly character for most of the story, but I wanted her to come around to her new home by the end and I think it landed well.
As for the Diplomatic Mission connection a lot of my stories have a very similar late medieval or early renaissance style setting, with matchlock or flintlock guns and swords and sorcery mixed in, it's just a mix of tropes and worldbuilding that I've always been really drawn to. Other stories I've done with a similar setting include From Over the Sea and The Mermaid, which could potentially also take place in this world but I didn't write them with that intention. I don't think I'll do extensive crossovers simply because I don't want people to have to read a ton of other stories to enjoy new ones, we might see some characters or cameos here and there.

Wooooooow late to the game in terms of reading your work but this was one of the best giantess themed reads I've ever stumbled across. Absolutely perfectly deftly written and the plot was so compelling I couldn't put it down. Thank you so much!!!
Author's Response:
Thanks! If you enjoyed the plot to this one you might check out Diplomatic Mission or Conquest of Earth, they both have pretty strong storylines with lots of giantess action.

Maybe next you can have a queen from an allied nation come to visit after hearing of the king’s plight. However, this queen is obsessed with shrunken people and is trying to seduce the king, which makes the harpy (and other potential love interests) jealous, and try to seduce him harder. That seems like it could be interesting.
Author's Response:
Sounds like it would make a good idea for a sequel story, a buxom and pushy queen shows up and starts demanding a "marriage alliance," I'll have to think on it.

Hi Greenmon. I congratulate you, you have the ability to create wonderful and truly unique characters. The story so far, impeccable. They are very good ideas.I would like to ask if there is a possibility to incorporate dragon girls into your story or nekos. When I say dragon girls I mean giant girls but with draconic characteristics. For example dragon tails, claws or scales in some places but his torso and face are human. And if you also add a naive or playful personality, with that unique touch that you give to each character, I think it would be wonderful. Thank you for sharing this great story with us. Keep it up
Author's Response: I don't think it's much of a spoiler at this point but the dragon mentioned so far is in fact a dragon-girl with features much like you described. As for nekos, not sure they fit this setting, but my other story Conquest of Earth has a lot of giant catgirls with very playful personalities, if that's your thing.

I have to admit, while I liked Al from the first chapter, there was something I felt was missing. It's nothing specific, or anything that I could give a name to, but even though I was rooting for him, I couldn't quite place him at the level of Jake, Jim or even Aaron.
Now, after how he dealt with the bandits, and Meghan, I am fully on Team Alfred. He probably needed time to marinate, that's all.
Admittedly, I'm not as a big fan of Cyrene, although I would not say this is inherent to flaws in the story. The "playful" archetype in my opinion tends to be a tad dull, strangely enough. You made full use of that, once more, when she was attacking the Bandit camp. She's used to her full potential, you see to that, but once more, not entirely my cup of tea.
No, my cup of tea is Morwen. In fact, I believe in Morwen supremacy. It's endearing how much she cares for her brother. There's a story behind her scars, that you give bits of from her brother, but not entirely, which is my favorite sort of story telling trick. Since Alfred appears to be betrothed to Cyrene, and it's a rather endearing prospect, I do wonder what your plans are for Morwen.
Excellent as always.
Author's Response: Good king Al is a protagonist type I'm trying out that I haven't done before, he's meant to be more of a planner or diplomat type, a bit sarcastic, while not a coward he's not nearly as brave the guys I usually write and definitely not a fighter. As you've noted guys in my stories tend to pick up a harem. Morwen will definitely be hanging around, as will her brother, and the next part will flesh out more of their backstory and why the ended up becoming outlaws in the first place.

One of the things I seem to notice is that none of your female characters in your stories are quite alike - with other authors that have a high output there can, at times, be a 'cloning' of characters happening, but you appear to put a lot of creative energy in making these ladies unique in personality and worldview. I love reading your stories. All the best from me. <3
Author's Response:
Thanks, I try to flesh out the characters in the more plot focused stories as much as I can, glad that it's noticeable!

Albert? You dropped this |^^^| King.
I suppose that the premise of this story will be tiny Aurelian brings peace, freedom, justice and security to his new kingdom. And has a harem of hot girls to help him on the way.
It appears he has the makings of a clever King. That move he played on the court wizard by luring her into the harpy would have made Sun Tzu blush. Once again, you've given us a tiny character to root for.
I have to wonder if the potion actually did make him invincible, and we have a pocket prince (more like PRINCEPS) one-shotting guys. Or it looks like you're going to make the harpy a genuine giantess. I am interested in seeing where this will go.
Author's Response:
Albert is going to need his wits about him to navigate the various problems facing his kingdom. The harpy will definitely end up a lot bigger at some point, that's just what happens when your court mage is a girl of dubious loyalty and competence who makes size potions.
