If you plan to introduce other characters like steve sister, I hope that they are written in a way that they may have more interaction in the future. In that case if the character is well liked they may come back in a later part of the story.

I really hope this isn't just a cruel story. I really want Steve to get some kind of help or revenge. I hate needlessly cruel stories like this with no real explanation. Like at least if Steve was an actual pos, I'd get it with Karma, but to just actually have such messed up stuff happen from people he's so close to is just a turnoff to me. It's just not realistic and it makes the story worse. You do you, but I hope you write some justice for Steve in some capacity.
