While I wouldn't consider Tricia wholly responsible for her crimes, I still feel like she got off too easy. A triple homicide is a serious offense bipolar or not. I believe she should have downsized and then sentenced to the 500 hours of community service that way she can't remain a threat, but the this chapter was good nonetheless.

Thank you for the graphic warning I don't I could have stomached Steve's death. I am going miss Steve. He became one my favorite characters.

It's chapters like this that make me read, and I can't wait to find the next one.

I hate characters who torture innocent characters, and I hate reading about even more. I don't even read for the explicit scenes; I could easily go without them, but I've read too far. I only continue reading in the hope to see Sophia and Tricia fall HARD.

God, what a story. I almost feel like I should properly draft a review to do it justice lmao.
I was a little worried that having Tricia's trial be the final chapter would seem a little off-theme, but you did a spectacular job. I think it managed to capture all the major themes you'd touched on in the story, and any left behind were handled by the epilogue. (RIP Beth's protein. Melissa deserved it, but it's a shame Beth doesn't get to 'keep' her lol.)
Sofia had a very good sendoff, I think. Her character has ended up being one of the most compelling in the story, even just from a pure narrative perspective. Seeing her finally catch the principal was a great cherry on top.
Tricia really came into her own, too. That cross-analysis (is that what it's called?) was great, and I think put both her character and her feelings about her guilt on full display. Her and Kamilla turned out really sweet, too.
Speaking of the trial, Evie vs Luna was a blast to read. Fun to see a new side of Luna, and their back and forth was both super well done, and really enjoyable.
Also, you really went all-out on the descriptions this go around, too. Moments like Evie looming over the court, or Tricia feeling Luna's teeny baby bump were super evocative. Really well done even just linguistically.
Great to see Miguel smile. Poor guy really went through it, but while his situation now - between Luna, Liam, and Evie - is very weird, it's really sweet to see him happy.
Beth was a delight, as always. Her joy at finally entering Lilliputian Lakes makes me smile. And her proclomation of love to close things out was a wonderful sendoff to the story.
(I do have to confess something though. This whole time I thought she was blonde! I only noticed my error during the trial lmao. Whoops.)
I'll confess that I've not actually seen Downsizing (2017). Never got around to it. Though as a story that overs the social and economic implications of shrinking the population, I don't think any other story could top this one. However that movie may be, you blew it out of the water, no question. And all in one year! You're a treasure.
Huge congrats on finally getting 'Completed: Yes'! And, y'know, writing an incredible story. I can't wait for whatever you choose to do next! (Super keen on starting those spinoffs you and It Was Me have made. ...Though I should finish Roomies first though lol.)
11/10. Fantastic work.

Great work as ever!

Damn, after one year you managed to close out an excellent chapter in your writing overall.
Hazel and Emma’s marriage, Sofia especially getting revenge on Carol was prob my favorite. Even Lin managed to change her ways a bit.
Im going to miss these characters. It’s been a fun journey. Great job MXP!
If you interested, I had an idea for a one shot downsizing story that I kinda wanted to run by you first on discord! I see ‘it was me’ already began his story haha.
Anyways, great story. 10/10.

Dang....that was definitely an ending for the ages. Glad everyone got a resolution in some way shape or form.
On a related note, what happened to Amber? She was a driving force for Mateo and co to look for Kamilla.
Also, if you're round robining, I might have a great in-universe story idea. It might be out of left field and not ready for quite a bit but the idea came to me from the previous chapter.
Also to make you chuckle: Scooby Gang

So it ends... man what a one year journey. I love the bookend here as it ends with both Beth and Mateo again from all the way back to the beginning of the first chapter.
Everyone got their epilogue and I like all of them, they're all fitting to each of their substories (Hazel and Emma woooo)
Thank you for writing this fantastic story that began from your hatred of that fucking movie!

Beth! BETH!
I read chapter 7 btw
BEEEEEEEEETTTTTTTTHHHHHHH!
I fucking love Beth, dude. She was so badass in the bathroom, rescuing Mateo and Emma in the knick of time and lifting Tricia off the floor with one hand. I’ve been eagerly awaiting her return to the spotlight and this moment did not disappoint in the slightest. I’m not even into watersports! Lol
As always, the details surrounding how downsizers live and interact in this world, from the tubes to how they interface with the mixed classes, is really well thought out and interesting. And I continue to love all bureaucracy and the politicking around it, like how Mateo, Beth, and Emma convinced the principal that nothing happened in the bathroom.
But enough of that worldbuilding crap, Beth though! I loved her swooning over Mateo on the bench. She finally gets to hold her favorite downsizer and her obsessing over him and his tiny physique is so adorable. Throughout that middle portion, I was wondering how Beth knew Mateo and Emma were in the bathroom, and then it struck me: “Oh yeah, Beth was probably watching for shrunken Mateo this whole time.” Lol, I was so glad to be right.
The line about how she has the strength to rip a toilet off the wall or tear a phonebook in half, and yet held Mateo so tenderly really encapsulates what I like about gentle size content. The idea that a giant/ess holds so much power over a person, enough to kill them without so much as a thought, and yet decides to keep themself in check and use that power to protect the tiny they care about just has such a strong appeal. That Mateo sees being with Beth as the safest he can be is so sweet.
Also, I gotta respect Mateo for taking things slow, “doing it right,” with Beth. I wouldn’t have had the willpower to turn down her initial offer, but I like his resolve here. Mainly because I’m a sucker for cute dates (and cute dates inevitably lead to the sexier stuff down the line). Plus slow burns lead to more explosive payoffs anyway. And given that ending, I think I’m in store for quite a slow burn (unless Mateo can escape from his mom to get back to Beth lol)
So yeah, if I said I was hooked on this story before, now I’m downright glued to it. Which means it should only take me one month this time to read the next chapter XD

Wow, was this a wild ride through the whole way through. I never thought from the earlier chapters I would like Tricia. But she really did go through a redemption arc, and kind of stole the protagonist role from Mateo and Beth and I didn't expect that either but kind of ended up loving it.
Easily in my top 5 favorite long stories on this site. Fantastic job writing it and writing so many vibrant characters!

Thanks a lot for this opus magnum!!
Got a question, though - what is the end for the mayor and two goons after all, lost his track afterhe has been carried away in the back pocket of on of the giantess :) ?
Very curious of what Evie has done to them after taking ?

Date: February 04 2025 3:21 AM Title: Tricia's Trial
This was a cathartic chapter in a lot of ways, and i'm glad to see things finally come to a head with Tricia and to a lesser extent Sofia airing their sins and finding a way forward.
In regards to Sofia, knowing that Mateo may forgive her, but he still does not trust her is a good balance of keeping the weight of her deeds in her mind, considering her role as a DPS agent, and the girlfriend of...poor, blissfully ignorant Charles, Sofia keeping herself in check with both Mateo's and Miguel's assessment's in this chapter is probably healthy for her in the long run.
Evie also shone in this chapter in trying to reconcile some of the failings of the DPS and maybe consider trying to implement some changes, with Luna proving to be unwavering in dragging the sins of Tricia out. Though I do wonder if Tricia admitting there was someone else influencing her besides her hateful mother will lead to them trying to pin down Lin...
Going back to Miguel, his bits in this chapter were also great, between him standing firm against Sofia, being unafraid to tell her that he doesn't forgive her and that her actions made him unable to love her ever again, even if she might love him, to the way he just spoke frankly with Mateo about Liam and Luna being 'fucking weird' to lamenting he won't have grandkids because of his relationship with Beth.
But man, the way Tricia has come so far is the real highlight, and I can only hope in the future she becomes a great DPS agent moving past this dark chapter of her life. It's hard to know how to deal with her mom, especially since her willful hatred is not fading at her extra puny size...but I doubt even her own daughter would mourn her at the rate she's going. She was practically begging to be executed the way she presented herself, with a frightening lack of self preservation to hold her back.
I know the epilogue is coming, but this was a very fun story, will be sad to see some of these characters go.

Read for the smut, stayed for the story.
The intricacies and depth you've brought to your ensemble cast is stunning in a way I've not seen in a size story, its almost like a sitcom but with vore added in for extra fun!
Not one going into this story was I expecting quite a moving portrayal of mental illness but it really elevated the drama for me and seeing Tricia get a chance to make amends properly was beautiful.
I hope Mateo gets to safely enjoy his organic car battery bath at some point in the future, our boy deserves it!
It'll be such a sad day when this finally ends but I know you'll send it off on a high.

What a great climax, holy cow.
This three-parter has been a hell of a ride from start to finish. You really did justice to both the serious nature of the Mayor's actions, and to Trish - and later Evie - stomping through Lilliputian Lakes.
I'll admit, it's taken me a while to get fully on board with redeeming Trish, but with these chapters I think you've pulled it off. Something about how a person's true nature comes out in a crisis, I guess. She's honestly a very fun character to read in this state. The snarky attitude she wields is really fun, while still being grounded in her character.
I was interested to see if / how she avoided punishment after confessing to Sofia - mostly because shrinking her would make Kamila sad :( - and the ending is a nice way of going about it. Emma has finally come around to at least begrudgingly accepting her, and I can only guess she and Mateo will lie about the bathroom incident in light of her recent actions.
Speaking of Emma, the moment Tricia went over to the tower I was crossing my fingers hoping "ooh I hope Tricia has to catch her in her mouth" and lo and behold it happened. I bow to you.
Some great vore payoffs in these chapters, too. I've been eagerly waiting for more and you didn't disappoint. The scene where Emma is riling Mateo up by probing for info about the guy Tricia ate was great lol. Though Emma's thoughts do make me wonder if Mateo will ever get to experience his desires to the fullest. We can only hope.
The scenes with Evie and Sofia were great too. Their struggle with Johnson was properly tense, and I honestly didn't know where it'd end up. Sofia dragging him into the chamber to take advantage of her immunity was another really cool payoff for that whole plot point.
Felicia was a delight these chapters too. I've been liking her more and more since she was introduced, and this chapter was a lot of fun with her around. I love the fascination she's grown for humans, and her interactions with Evie were great. Her whispering devilish things into Evie's ear and later vanishing into Jack's pants cracked me up.
Really wonderfully done, as usual. I'm eager to see how everything wraps up!

Whew, after reading your reply to JerkyLover777, I was glad to see there is another chapter on the way. I was worried that you had ended it. Looks the next one is indeed the end though. Oh, well. Thanks for the ride!

Date: January 13 2025 4:15 PM Title: Lilliputian Lakes pt. 3
A good word for this chapter is cathartic. Mateo gave Tricia real closure with her breaking up with him and pushed her to move past her desire to be punished, his mom owned up to what she did to him and he was glad to make true peace with her, Beth got her reunion with her parents, Emma and Tricia have come to some sort of an understanding, and the mayor is finally facing what he has coming to him...which i'm hoping we get to see what's in store for him when he does inevitably end up unregistered and unprotected...
Speaking of the unregistered, I did like Evie's slip here about unregistered downsizers. She didn't mean anything by it, but Kamila and Sofia were right to instantly push back, and it really shows she's not perfect. While I hope Tricia ends up staying human, it is good that her past actions are not just being brushed past. She did kill 3 innocent people, and under a lot of other circumstances would be downsized and executed promptly. I'm hoping that seeing her reform, as well as the real exploitation that happened to unregistered downsizers through loopholes and bureaucracy being too hard to ignore in this instance, will lead to some form of change in the DPS. It's also nice that Tricia's fate is in the hands of unregistered downsizers, because they're really the ones Tricia needs to make peace with the most.
And I really just love that you don't shy away from the humans brutalizing and eliminating downsizers who really have it coming. Between Tom and Johnson being so callously swallowed whole, with Tricia and Evie cracking jokes about it, to Evie instantly making a man plummet to his death for trying to pull a gun on Mateo (though it did seem like he was actually going to kill Mateo so very justified) The point where Mateo was indulging in his vore fetish with Emma getting it described for him was wonderful.
Was a really fantastic 3 parter! Looking forward to what comes next!
Author's Response:
I'm glad you pointed out the closure between Tricia and Mateo. That really had to happen between them, and I'm so happy to hear Tricia saying it first. And yeah, all the arcs are coming to some sort of conclusion. Beth, Trish, Emma, the Mayor, etc.
Yup, Evie is not perfect with her little comment about unregistered. But I think she'll make things right with the next chapter.
I'm curious how many people think Tricia will remain human or if she'll be downsized as punishment. It can go either way right now, huh? And yeah, for the three downsizers she murdered—that's not going away. She'll have to answer to that one way or another. And wow, you're hitting the points I didn't say out loud. Everything from Evie's comments, the loopholes and bureaucracy, the unregistered not getting justice, and Tricia needing peace for her crimes. Yup, that's what the next chapter is for! I hope to answer all of this next.
Haha, the downsizer deaths in this chapter were justified, huh? I don't feel bad about them. They had their chance to do the right thing, and they never did.
Thank you for your comment and continued support! I really need to get off my butt and write the last chapter next!

Going to dance around spoilers but I'm glad things was resolved for all involved.
Sounds like the adults and the Scooby gang are heading to another arc that might be well worth the emotional investment.
Also, and observation from a earlier chapter: I love that Beth is a fan of Lemonade.
Author's Response:
Haha. Always cracks me up to read, "Scooby Doo gang." The LL chapters is what I would consider the climax of the story. We're moving to the conclusion and ending next. I hope I can get it done soon! Thanks for the comment and review!

Thank you for writing this! I liked the updates.
The way you write is so captivating, I just always want to know what will happen next.
It's nice to see how Tricia turned her life around, but still hasn't forgotten about her past. Maybe she can still bully people around a bit.
If... she gets out of this mess that is.
Also that mayor is lucky that Sofia and Beth don't fit through the entrance to the city.
I wish you a nice NYE and 2025.
Author's Response:
Haha. I think the entire city is lucky that Sofia and Beth didn't fit through! Would've been great to see Beth lose her mind inside the city though! She would be so happy.
Thank you for taking the time to comment and give me motivation to write more! Happy belated New Years!
