Always awesome to see you updating again. Suspense is killing me
Author's Response:
Thanks! Hopefully the suspense builds a little higher before the end.

I really like your writing style. It’s
kind of a no-bullshit approach. You don't underestimate your reader and you
don't elaborate unnecessarily on the environment, but focus on emotion and
experience of the characters involved. You know that we as readers can fill in
the blanks.
Like I said, it’s a unique style and it’s
actually something I might try to emulate in future stories.
Author's Response:
Thanks! This story especially is meant to be in a stream-of-consciousness style, so less about the environment and more the semi-erratic thoughts of the main character. It can be a tougher style to follow but I think readers are up to it.

Awe man that was a killer cliffhanger. You could feel the intensity rise. I love this story so much, it's been going on for a while now.
Author's Response:
Thanks! It has been going for a while, so my goal has been to finish it well before it turns 4 years old.

Next up: the tie-breaker!
Author's Response:
...which is hopefully not solved with a penalty shot.

Damn your cliffhangers!!!
That said GREEEEEEEEEEEAT to see this back.
Author's Response:
Thanks! Unfortunately there may be a couple more cliffhangers before this is through. ;)

I note the chapter is not titled "VJ-Day." Wouldn't want to get our hopes up. Jack, Julia, Judgment, Jubilee.
Julia's announced threat to Gina and the baby is too vicious by half. She'd do it to Jack, though, after she forced him to say that he wanted her to do it to him. If Jack's plan requires him to be sacrificed, I wouldn't mind reading such a scene, actually.
Author's Response:
Yes, "Victory over Julia" Day might be a little bit too positive a name when the group is facing such tough odds. ;)
Jack is definitely willing to put himself on the line here, so he may very well have to make such a choice.
