Certainly Nancy didn't even *try* to hide what she did... if this story weren't finished I'd be speculating about it right now.
You have no idea how relieved I am to read about someone behaving like they're family! Otoh, having to care for his siblings as well means that giving up in any form is no longer an option.
Author's Response:
Well, Scott's got to have something to keep him going now, doesn't he? Thanks for reviewing!

good to knw that scott gonna do something abt current situation but he need from 'nice' people like Maggie (even if she's conflicted), Libby, Ella, Carolyn and Kyle!
Author's Response:
You're right that he won't be able to do much on his own. Scott's got his work cut out for him making things right.

This does beg the question, what is the line Maggie won't cross? Obviously she wouldn't do what Nancy did.
Author's Response:
You're right that Maggie definitely wouldn't do what Nancy did. The line is intentionally unclear, but it probably exists wherever Maggie believes she's doing actual, lasting harm. Most of what she's done to Scott she views as temporary punishment for his sins, and feels justified in it. When she sees him at his lowest, though, she begins to realize the kind of impact that vulnerability is having.

i admit that when i saw title of your latast chap "Maggie's actions", i thought Maggie was gonna confront Nancy and the things would've nasty! for Scott 1 of new goal could be protect to his siblings from Judy's sick mind. Maybe Ella could be a ally as grilfriend or not!
Author's Response:
Especially after his encounter with Maggie, Scott is realizing how damaged all Judy's children are, not just him, and that he can't just give up yet without trying to do something about it.

Maggie face turn? I can honestly say I did not see that coming but Nancy does seem to take over her roll as #2 big bad going forward behind Judy.
Author's Response:
Probably a fair bet about Nancy, although Judy still has a few things to say at the end that may alter the status quo.

A very heartwarming chapter, it was nice to Maggie showing empathy. She's obviously not happy with Nancy, so the question is, will Maggie tell Judy what Nancy did or will Maggie take matters into her own hands to make sure Nancy never rapes Scott again?
Looking forward to Ella's return and what she might think.
I also look forward to see if Judy thinks Nancy has gone too far.
Author's Response:
Maggie will definitely make sure something is done about Nancy.
Judy's got plenty of opinions about the events of this day that will be shown in the final chapters.

I love this chapter. Even though I hope this isn't the end of a raunchy Maggie, I'm glad that she is realizing how messed up Scott's life is and you really showed how conflicted she was towards everything going on.
Author's Response:
Thanks! I'll say Maggie will be a bit different after this interaction with Scott, though that's not to say she can't still be a source of trouble.
