Interesting first chapter. I'll review as I read on but I like the way things are set up here. I think the way you play with time as the story switches from time period to time period kind of makes things a little confusing but I'll get used to it.

Author's Response:

The first part of chapter one is foreshadowing for a future scene, it gives the reader a hint at what is going to happen. The detaills of Julius Marius's life occurs before the Ides of March as they build up to Caesar's death.

This is shaping up nicely. And is she a fan or a groupie lol. I'm having a blast reading this. Makes me want to watch gladiator again.

Author's Response: Thanks for the review Aaron. She may become a groupie you never know. Julius is kind of based on Maximus from gladiator. I want him to be a moral soldier like Maximus.

I like what I see so far but maybe you could use the end notes as a glossary to translate the Latin words?

Author's Response: Ok will do. Thanks!

An excellent first chapter to an entertaining and enormously promising story. The writing is top-notch, the world is all too believable, and the attention to historical detail is impressive. I'm looking forward to reading more!

Author's Response:

Thanks I appreciate itr. Chapter 2 is already uploaded, and 3 is in the early stages.

What a great idea for a story. Would have rather read a story about Cleopatra and Mark Antony. But this story is spectacular and I have no complaints. I can't wait to see what happens next.

PS love how the beginning was kinda like Gladiator'.

Author's Response:

Thanks for the review. I always kinda wanted to do a GTS story with a gladiator. I thought it would be cool re-write history where Caesar was instead killed by his wife instead of Brutus.
