I didn't understand much of this and I wish I hadn't googled necrotizing enterocolitis.

Ahaha it didn't occur to me that people would actually look it up. The inside joke is that necrotizing enterocolitis is just a stand in for something more sinister. I'm not at liberty to divulge more specifics, but either way, I'm glad you liked it. I'm not even sure if this story can stand on its own; people who spend time in the Chatzy will appreciate it more. Anyway, thanks for the review!
