I love this story so much please update again! And probably let the sisters change to good, I mean, they do seem guilty and it would surely make some more plot.

Sorry for letting up on commentary; time keeps getting away. Anyway, overall this was a lovely mix of complicated emotions and fetish action. The May chapters especially were among my favorites. The subtle ways of letting the larger world come through, such as that boy in the shoe, helped give the narrative more texture. Certainly as a whole it's my favorite thing you've put out. I do confess to some disappointment with the ambiguity of the ending and June's relationship with her sisters. I understand the vibe you were going for, but it felt like just a little too much being left to the reader given how hard they were to read in the past - it ended up feeling slightly inconsistent without more guidance. Just one opinion, of course, and it's not something I would've focused on if most everything else wasn't working so well. June's ranting in the final chapters especially was very cathartic and helped endear her even more. I'll look forward to reading whatever else you decide to post.

Author's Response:

Yeah, I knew the ending might not  sit well with people, and your input really helps to say why. Personally, I prefer the ambiguity, and I stand by it, but I can see why it doesn't work. Sure there's a lot of story to be had with the sisters slowly learning to  treat June better, but I don't want to overstay the story's welcome.  I definitey appreciate your words though, and hopefully you like the next story I got planned.

Interesting ending. June's future is still uncertain but there is at least a note of hope, as well as signs of remorse from her sisters. Nice work on this story.

Author's Response:

I had a lot of fun with this story, and there are definitely good things coming June's way now that the sisters saw the toll it took on her. Thanks for the reviews.

You son of a...that said the ending cliffhanger not withstanding I enjoyed the story.

Hoping for good things for June as well.

Author's Response:

I've always had that ending in mind, and I can definitely see where it can be a little frustrating. I really have no plans to continue June's story, it just kinda ends there with all that ambiguity. I like to believe everything in the story got to both Juniper and April, and the sisters will eventually make changes, but I purposefully didn't want to end the story cleanly. Not everything wraps up nicely, and the sisters have to live with the events from then on.

Anyways. thanks for sticking with the story until the end.

50th review here, I will be watching your space very closely now. The next story you've planned sounds very interesting!

Author's Response:

It's pretty fun, and I'm still ironing out the outline before I fully commit to posting it. It'll definitey be alot longer than Junebug in both chapter and story length. For some reason I just really liked the short, choppy cadence in June's "voice."

Loved it,  shorter than what I had expected but you showcased so much,  the emotions of being the tiny tormented sibling.  I hope Juniper gets better treatment, but I have my doubts. You'vd shown to be one of the better authors on the site here and I look forward to whatever you have planned in your next stories!

Oh its great to see you again! And wow, Juniper is well...on her last legs? I like the anger and fear portrayed, it was so real!

Author's Response:

Thanks, man. It really feels great to come back and finish this story. I really appreciated your reviews throughout this story.

I hope this story isn't dead in the water!  :(   I miss the characters...

Author's Response:

Well, I got good news and bad news.

Good news: It's not dead.

Bad news: There's only one chapter left after this update

Really enjoying this story. I like the lead character and her relationship with her sisters. And the book containing another tiny person's life experiences is an interesting touch. Nice way to show the "big" sisters how the other half lives.

Author's Response:

Thanks! I was really worried on how I was going to incorporate the book into the narrative, so I'm glad it worked well enough as it did. Thanks for reviewring.

I'm sensing a shift but I will wait till the next chapter to see if I'm right.

Author's Response:

Things are definitely going to change at this point on.

I love this story so much! Especially the mean things the sisters do. When will the next chapter be up? :p

Author's Response:

Considering the most recent chapter was posted today, I'd say not much longer than a week.

Enjoyed getting yet another glimpse at a different tiny through the book's account (and speaking of which, I'd do unspeakable things to see you write something focusing on the boy June saw in May's classroom). I'm curious to see if April's revelation is able to turn things around for June, since it was my impression that May was perfectly aware of how unpleasant things are for her sister, even if April was lying to herself all this time. Strong stuff as usual from you.

Author's Response:

As tempted as I am, I think it's more effective if no further information regarding the boy and his sister is given. I like the mysterious allure to it, and I don't want to have people see Darth Vader build C-3PO. Although I'm not done with the sibling dynamics through shrinking, so I might write something similar in the future.

The story is mostly between April and June, and I left May to be a lot more static than the two, so if any change would come to her, April would be the best bet to lead and enforce it.

Finally. Finally some understanding.

I didn't leave a review on the last chapter, since I didn't actually catch it - I was wondering what took so long :P

I feel like you're gonna throw a twist here, just like you nearly made us think she was going to escape (you really convinced me,) and I'm wondering what it's going to be. Maybe there isn't one and it all goes happily ever after. Maybe not. Can't wait for the next chapter!

Author's Response:

We're getting to0- a better place for them, slowly, but we're getting there.

I also don't think June is 100% done with the idea of running away. The option is still there; she just couldn't do it at the time.

I don't have a machiavellian plot twist planned, but I do have some pretty neat stuff for the final chapters.

Oh, that is quite the twist! Poignant stuff, April just realised Juniper's life ain't so hot now. Question is will it lead to a change!

Author's Response:

It's definitely a step in the right direction, but Juniper needs to play her cards right or else it's back to the same old deal.

This is so great. I really like your writing.

Author's Response:

Thanks! Hearing that makes it a lot easier to keep up writing, so I definitely appreciate it.

Congrats to June!

I wish her all the best on her escape attempt and hope it works out well for her.

Author's Response:

I do too, but I also wouldn't have subjected her to all that pain, so who knows what's going to happen. I do whatever makes the story interesting. Thanks for reviewing.

Love it. Nice to get some info on the mother to help give context for her family situation. It builds the world a little more. I liked how the interaction with April went too. Interesting to see June exhibit some agency, however small her influence.

And I'd watch the hell out of that sitcom. I almost found myself wishing it could've been fleshed out more here, if only to further illustrate the state of things in this world, though I understand it was serving a purpose for June's character. The jerk in me is sad to see June leave her sisters, since those previous chapters were so much fun, but from a narrative standpoint it seems like the logical thing for her to make her move.

Do go on!

Author's Response:

I'd give anything to see a show like that. It's hard to flesh out a world when your character has a very skewed view of it, so that sitcom definitely helps.

Funny you mention seeing more of it because it may or may not tie in to another story that I may or may not have also had around with the first few chapters of Junebug. Thanks for reviewing.

Welcome back, its pretty intense,  With her difficult relationship with her mother coming up and how she feels she will never be Juniper again. The sitcom shows the plight of tinies is not even taking seriously, nice addition.

Author's Response:

Thanks! I was afraid that this chapter might have done way too much at once and feel disjointed.

Yeah that sitcom's not the best when it comes to treating it's tiny actors right, but people wpuld do anything to get on tv.

Soon hopefully. The latest will probably be next week. Although updates will probably be more steady once I get off for summer.
