Two possibilities: the frigid blonde receptionist was either an undercover Federal agent, out to get this corporation for abusing its shrinking technology.

Or, she was a ghost. Sort of like one of those phantom hitchhikers! Only the site of the tragic death she's linked to is her desk.

Liking it so far. I would prefer if the chapters were just a bit longer, but the frequent updates makes up for that. Keep up the good work!

I'm working on getting them a bit longer.  Hoping that overtime they will continue to get long.  I know Chapter 8 was a bit short, even for me.
