Like Barrowan, I think Emma and Tom are "cool" with the current situation. Atleast Emma does care about Tom unlike others siblings. I also espect one other character to be shrunk.
Author's Response:
Emma is definitely very ok with Tom's shrinking, but she also cares about him.

Emma still the playful one I see. I agree that Tom could've fit if Emma just asked him a simple question. At this rate, he is bound to lie to anything.
I bet that is one big gumball in his mouth. Will he be able to spit it out? Or will it stick to his mouth forever and he can't talk, meaning that he can't lie, and boom, problem solved. Nah, that would be too easy.
Hmm. She stores him in her backpack? Some people might bump or sit on her backpack and they can crush Tom. I think might like that. Could provide her with a cushion.
The whole 'brush teeth' thing just seemed like an excuse for Emma to put some use with her gum. I said she was probably careless and lazy and this time, I think she was lazy to throw her gum away so she stuck it into Tom's mouth and at the end of the chapter she said "I guess it yours now" meaning that now she doesn't have to throw it away.
Can't wait to see what Emma has in store for Tom and I can't wait for the next chapter!
Author's Response:
Yep, Emma's definitely the most playful one. Spitting it out may be difficult until he's regrown a little. And that's probably an accurate guess about her wanting to get rid of the gum.

I love Emma.
Author's Response:
And who wouldn't?

I hated this.
*shrinks 10 inches*
Is that a big enough shrink?
Author's Response:
Not nearly enough.

If she wanted him to shrink smaller, all she would have to do is make him answer "yes" as to if he enjoyed being tricked, by her, into lying.
Author's Response:
I guess Tom's lucky it didn't come to that then.

“I should’ve gotten you to lie again before I shared my gum,” she complained quietly. It was something she dared never mention in the presence of Alaina or even her oldest brother or mother, but nonetheless, it was understood between Tom and Emma that she couldn’t have cared less how often he lied as long as it was to her advantage.
___
Emma doesn't mind and Tom doesn't care and is 100% obidient all the time. The bond between them is the strongest. Maybe his only ally against this world. I wonder what his schoolday will be like and if he has friends or girlfriends. Probably not.
Tricking someone into lying isn't well received either?
Author's Response:
Good questions to have; we'll see that Tom does have friends, though conditionally so. And right, tricking someone into lying isn't looked on favorably either, because they contributed in some way to truth being withheld.
