At one point near the beginning of the chapter, you said "crabbing two glow sticks".
Sam is falling for Elayne. He keeps on blaming stuff on himself when things get out of hand. He has to keep his composure and not let things get more difficult.
Wow, that was one brilliant escape. I never expected it. I didn't even predict it! Usually, I get a prediction that is somewhat close, but no, not this time. I thought the cops followed the wrong van or something. But wow, a hole to escape?!! That's amazing! No wonder why they needed that van! It had that door so they can open it.
I wonder what the cops think about this. Call off the patrol? They are all dead kinda thing? Perhaps a search party, K-9 units, paramedics, and all that good stuff.
One smart thing about that explosion is that the wreckage will cover up the hole. Cops won't even find it.
Now, it's just Sam, George, Wyatt, and Elayne. 3 guys vs 1 lady. Who will win. My bets on the lady. (As always.)

Fixed the 'crabbing'. thanks Tom. I wanted to keep people guessing, how are they planning on getting away,? Are they going to be shrunk and smuggled out or what? well now everyone knows and it's time for Elayne to let go of the scared girl routine.
