Thanks for this! I loved the slow development of powers and will to exploit it!

Personally, I do not think any human could gain that kind of power and remain "gentle". Power corrupts.

Thanks! And I do agree: power corrupts, so it's impossible for someone to be as powerful as Laura and not to use it to do "as she sees fit"
