A bit over a year later, and this is still one of the best stories on the site. Apologies if this comes off as begging, but I hope the continuation/part 2 happens sometime in the near future.

Nice ending, it seems our MC is forever small also does he even have a name as I don't recall it. It is nice to know that those arrows were enchanted or tipped becuase I feel like Kirinhalut went down like a bitch, also it seems in this fantasy world elves are still dicks. I hope you have plans to do some side stories about this world as there isn't alot of fantasy stories on this website.

Author's Response:

The MC's name is shrunken human, in the same spirit of Bhaalspawn and Vault Dweller.

Cold Iron is a long-standing weakness of demons, it's just lucky Llelwyl figured it out in time.

Elves are always assholes, but this one in particular so.

There will be more :)

Dude. Amazing story. I loved it from start to end. One of the very best on the site. <3

I hope they continue their adventures in the future.

Author's Response:

Thank you!

Their adventures will continue, but first I'm taking a break from these characters.

What a sweet ending! It's a shame that Lell was basically who she's been throughout the whole story. Any chance we'll see a side story freeing the poor people trapped in the jars?

Author's Response:

That's a whole other quest, not just a side story ;)

Just got a giantesworld account because i wanted to do a review on this story.

Really loved this story and am happy that it has a relatively happy ending. I probably would have been very upset if Kirinhalut had won but seeing that she didn't, I gave of sigh of relief. Now I can only think of how this story ends,

1. They use the orb of power to revert the MC to his orignal size.

2. Use the power of orb to empower the MC so that he has the durability that he had when we was still bound to Kirinhalut maybe even have the strength of a normal sized human (pretty much become Antman when small).

3. The group destroys the orb of power somehow.

Author's Response:

Glad to have you aboard!  Unfortunately, you'll have to wait a few days to find out what happens with the orb.

All I can think of here right now with the title "final battle" is...

"that was all it took?"

I mean.. Just an arrow or 2 and she was gone? Even after jacking all that power and size + the orb?

I dunno... That just felt incredibly anticlimactic overall. Tho the story isn't quite over yet I suppose so maybe something else happens. All I can do is wonder lol

Author's Response:

If all you saw was a few arrows hitting Kirinhalut, I suggest you reread it.  Bushwack's bleeding out, Margret's trying her best but outclassed, Sondra's magic does nothing no matter how hard she tries, and the main character is a second away from getting swallowed by the person he trusts the most before an estranged companion comes back just in time.  It's not about damage, it's about the fight.

Llewyl saves the day! Hopefully she's a little nicer to our shrunken hero. Poor Bushwack, I feel so bad for her. And Margret is a badass. I love that she never gave up. Hopefully the next chapter has some sort of fun conclusion! As always, your stories are great to read.

Author's Response:

There'll be a conclusion, though I'm not sure how fun.  Margret's a real trooper though!

Interesting revelation that Kiri didn't just shrink him, but used the size she stole as magical energy. And now she's doing it to the entire tavern... she's probably stolen at least a few people's worth of energy at this point and is going to be one hell of a fight.

Wonder what Llelwy's been up to...

Author's Response:

The situation may not be quite that dire, but they've definitely got quite a battle ahead of them.

Oh no! He's stuck that way forever and without his increased durability?! I kinda figured being restored to his normal size wasn't likely, but...oh this poor human. I feel really bad for him.

Author's Response:

I have it on good authority you can live a full, fulfilling life at tiny size, and this guy's got good caretakers at least.

I didn't expect them to make a plan and get the information across so easily. Something tells me that Kirinhalut isn't okay with this and knows everything all along. I think that won't turn out healthy for the rest of the group, but we will see.

Thank you for writing and until next time!

Author's Response:

Any immortal demon with centuries-spanning plans has a contingency or two in place, but don't forget that they're also prone to hubris.

I was actually expecting Margret to so something horrible first. I didnt expect Sondra to shrink herself. How nice of her!

Seems almost like Kirinhalut is controlling Margret. I wonder how they will ever leave this evil also of hers. On the other hand, she also made Sondra fall in love so...

Thank you for writing and until next time!

Author's Response:

Sondra's just a real sweetie who wanted to hold the MC with something besides her entire hand, all she wants to do is vibe.

The powers of a succubus are powerful and insidious, but can they create positive human emotions?  I guess we'll see.

Aww, Sondra is so adorable. She's too pure for this setting. I hope to see her and her little man survive this tale. Even if our warrior has to permanetly sacrafice his chance to be restored back to normal (which i see as likely happening) to stop Kirinhalut's plans and save the rest of the party; I can easily see Sondra keeping her promise of keeping him around and loving him. I hope to see the rest of the girls make it out too. Even Llelwyl, but only on the condition she does something redeemable like save the tiny when Kirinhalut's manipulation and ruse is revealed andshe tried to crush him for good and actually apologize to him for her treatment of him. Their 1st post save the world quest can be taking a request to rescue the prison jar victims from the witch's hut after reporting it to the guild and meet a new interesting character with a followup request after bringing the victims to a temple for dispell restoration.

Author's Response:

I'm not going to confirm anything, but it's great to have readers so invested that they predict several of many very plausible end conditions!

Oh man, the crew is starting to become suspicious of outside interference! And the Tiny Human is starting to realize that Lell wasn't nice to begin with, but was pushed by Kiri. Margaret though, that was a twisted and awesome way to manipulate her playfulness. And BUSHWACK must sleep like the dead!

Author's Response:

Fool me twice, you can't get fooled again, isn't that the saying? :P Llelwyl being mean and inattentive is par for the course, but Kirinhalut may have made an error by picking sweet, friendly Margret.

Somehow it doesn't feel very safe that he is sleeping alone. Somebody could just steal him and  nobody would notice. I hope he stays safe.

I also hope they find a way to ditch Kiri. She barely gets to torture him, why does she even stay with the group? Can't she bully someone else and leave these poor people alone?

Thank you for writing and until next time!

Author's Response:

He's in a room with three much larger people, I'm sure he'll be fine.

Kiri's only been not torturing him for like 10 hours in-world, and she has a good reason for sticking around.

Another great chapters! It's great to see that mood of the story switched from a torment to more pleasant for our little hero! All it required was getting Lel out of party :D One thing boggles my mind, did anyone in the party ask for our heroe's name? Maybe I forgot.

Besides, what I especially loved in recent chapters:
- our hero once again proved brave and capable in combat despite his size in saving his teammates and this time saved the day for party instead of ebing used as a tool.
- I loved the idea of magic traps imprisoning victims in jars and fact that staying in there for more than 24 hours makes effect pernament. Good and creative use of magic. I don't get though why Sondra didn't try to dispell this effect, at leat on this one tiny humand they got out from jar, she seems to be able to cast spells withouth spending many time on them and soon after meeting our heroe for fist time tried to enlarge him with one.
- This one step which Lel took which utterly crushed our hero was so epic, funny and pun! It worked greatly with her speaking about "putting her foot down" and in comparison to fact that our heroe when facing bandit leader or witch was able to dodge footfalls aimed at him but all it took to destroy him was one unaware step from Lel :D It's like her mere presence, whether she is aware of tiny hero or not, is a source of suffering for him. It was also greatly ironic that moment after helping to save whole party which was his size minute ago, he was stomped by one if it;s members. Also fact that Lel ignored Bushwack trying to speak about him worked great with the whole scene.
- Sondra's care for our little hero when she though that he died and after was so sweet and greatly written that is one of our favourite moments of this story, I hope to see more of it :D Also Sondra and Margret making a bed for him was a nice touch.

- Repercussions for Lel were a great plot point. Even if she crushed our hero unintentionally, her previous actions and words made this mistake a one way ticket out of party for her, it's great that karma finally got her.
- I love the fact how Margret sees our hero a little bit like a fun toy. Sure, she recognizes him as human and definetly treats him better than Lel or Bushwack but she also seems to be hyped a little bit about his size, what makes her a great character, scene with cup was great and I must admit - unexpected.

My only one "note" is that it would be great if wooden floor in tavern could be more "tremor conducting" and giantesses walking on it could rock our tiny heroe's world, maybe during morning half-awaken Margaret could stomp on it a little bit too hard and create earthquake for our hero (and make him for example fall from desk)? But don't worry too much about his comment, I have fixation on tremors, hence the nickname :)

Could you please give exact size of our hero - is he exactly one inch tall? and how long is Lel's foot/shoe? Also one last question: will we get some barefoot or sandal action or rather not?

Author's Response:

For narrative purposes, the hero's name is Shrunken Human, in the same vein as Vault Dweller, Bhaalspawn, and Gray Warden.

Sondra knows that a simple spell isn't going to undo a powerful cursed object and any help she could give him would be temporary.  He'd have been big long enough to escape the cabin, only to shrink again in the woods.  Doesn't seem like an improvement in his situation.

As for sizes - the hero is small enough to make all of this possible, and Llelwyl's foot is at least six inches long.  Don't worry about the exact sizes, the numbers don't make a story.  What happens with their relative sizes, and the scenes they create, is what matters.

Sonia is such a sweet cinnamon roll. This chapter was heartwarming and makes me apprehensive about the future, ufufufu. Also, I’d like to thank you for rekindling my desire to write in fantasy settings.

YES! TAKE THAT, Lell! I wish she could have gotten chewed out or even slapped around a bit, but I admit that her brand of cruelty was less tasteful to me perhaps because she didn’t acknowledge the little guy at all. But man I’m pumped for the next chapter!

Author's Response:

She got kicked out of the party, I think that's a pretty good chewing out!  Things will get more complrex and interesting in the next few chatpers, since it's building toward a big climax.

Very nice! I’m excited to see what happens next. I was happy to see that even Bushwack was willing to interject and defend our protagonist, though it’s a shame no one stood up to Lell before she ‘stood‘ on our hero. Still holding out for more chapters or interactions where our hero is at the mercy of our pixie friend. Maybe now he’s earned a place as a pet, or maybe even as her share of the loot once they divine their reward? Wishful thinking, I know. I just think Bushwack is the perfect balance of meanness without being completely cruel like Lell. And BOY do I hope the hero gets a chance to get revenge on Lell. If nothing else, I reallllllly want him to get some sort of revenge on her and Kiri before ending up as Sondra or Bushwack.

Sorry for rambling!

Author's Response:

This has all been leading to a big change in the relationships between characters that'll come out in the next installment.  There won't be a lot of focus on Bushwack, but Lell will at least get some of what's coming to her.

Sorry for not reviewing earlier!

I was busy moving.

Some of these girls are really hostile, while some are inspiring.

I think Bushwack is just a case of sibling rivalry. She is just kinda jealous she doesn't get all the tiny attention!

I'm curious as to where this story goes! Thank you for writing and until next time!

Author's Response:

You might be on to something there!  Now that Bushwack isn't the smallest, she's jealous of how tiny he is, but also mad he can't do anything.  Maybe she'll come around to him, though.
