"I was told you are a giantess by my friends," Mathew said, looking up at the girl standing before him.
She appeared to be around his height - no taller than 5'5" with a petite, slender build. Her long, chestnut brown hair cascaded over her shoulders in loose waves. She had fair, unblemished skin and large, almond-shaped eyes the colour of rich milk chocolate. Her rosebud lips curved into a sly smile.
"I'm neither a human nor a giantess," she replied, her voice light and melodic. "I'm human-sized and Rose is the giantess that everyone sees and thinks is me." She let out a small laugh. "I kinda used Rose's image to gain popularity."
Mathew furrowed his brow in confusion. "That doesn't make any sense. Plus, don't you think I'll tell people about this?"
The girl crossed her arms. "First, we are to become roommates. Second, if you tell anyone - if you say anything - Rose is here to deal with you." Her lips spread into another unsettling smile.
Mathew felt a shiver run down his spine but tried not to let his apprehension show. "I have a question," he began, watching the petite girl carefully. "How does Rose play as you? Can't anyone distinguish between Rose and you?"
The girl waved a dismissive hand. "It's too complicated and I can't explain it to you."
Mathew wasn't ready to let it go. This strange living arrangement was raising far too many questions. "You are as small as I am compared to them," he continued, gesturing with his hands. "So how did you manage to, you know, befriend Rose? And since you are neither a human nor a giantess like you said, what are you then?"
The girl fixed him with an intense stare. "I'll tell you at the right time," she said simply.
Mathew felt his frustration growing but fought to keep his voice even. "So when are we going to your dorm? Your home?"
"Right now!" the girl announced cheerfully, her mood shifting in an instant. She turned towards the classroom door. "Hey Rose!" she shouted suddenly into a small walkie talkie she produced from her pocket. "We are ready to go now!"
Moments later, the enormous frame of Rose filled the classroom doorway. Without a word, she reached down and wrapped her fingers around Mathew's torso. Before he could react, he was whisked into the air and deposited in her front shirt pocket. He caught a glimpse of the petite girl - who had introduced herself as Jasmine - seated comfortably on Rose's shoulder, an amused smile playing on her lips.
As Rose began to walk, transporting both humans with ease, Mathew clung to the fabric encircling him to avoid sliding around. Rose took long strides, each footfall causing vibrations that shook through Mathew's body. He shifted around to face upward, watching the giantess's angular chin and full lips as she spoke.
"Why didn't you tell him?" Rose questioned. Though muffled, Mathew could distinguish her gravelly but feminine voice.
He glanced over at Jasmine's tiny form perched on the giantess's shoulder. She gave an exaggerated shrug. "I want him to think we are equal or he's above me," she responded casually. "Then..."
Her voice trailed off but Mathew's interest was piqued. What was she planning? He strained to listen to their exchange.
"Did he believe it?" asked Rose.
Jasmine nodded, the sunlight catching her glossy hair. "I think he did."
"He'll be shocked when he finds out the truth," remarked Rose. Mathew felt his chest tighten anxiously.
Growing bolder, Mathew called up to the duo. "Hey, what secret are you girls talking about?"
Jasmine leaned over the side of Rose's shoulder, peering down at the tiny human enclosed in her friend's pocket. "Who asked you to talk?" she snapped.
Anger flared up inside Mathew. "I don't think you should talk to me like that," he retorted, his voice ringing with indignation. "The fact you have a giantess as your friend doesn't make me any different from you. Besides, if we had a fight between the two of us I'd wreck you!"
Jasmine let out a scornful laugh. "When we reach the dorm you'll see who has more strength between us," she mocked. "In the meantime, shut up!"
Mathew clenched his fists, his stubbornness now in full force. "No!" he yelled defiantly up at the smug girl.
"Mathew," Rose's resonant voice cut in, "You should probably keep quiet for your own good. Trust me."
Mathew reluctantly settled back down into the giantess's pocket. As much as he hated to admit it, challenging someone of Rose's immense size was foolhardy.
Rose glanced down at him, her blue eyes glinting. "Well, thank you. It's not me you should be afraid of though, it's her." She nodded towards Jasmine.
Confused, Mathew peered up at Rose's broad jawline. "Why? What's she going to do?"
Rose pressed her lips together, seeming to choose her words carefully. "Jasmine, when will you tell him?"
"When we get to the dorm," came the reply.
"Tell me what?" Mathew interjected loudly. His mind was spinning with unanswered questions.
Rose and Jasmine fell silent as the giantess continued walking. To Mathew, the journey felt endless. He watched corridors and stairwells pass by through the thin fabric enclosure. Finally, after what seemed an eternity, Rose came to a stop and pulled open an oak door.
They had arrived at her private dorm room. Like everything else Mathew had seen, it was scaled for a giant occupant. Rose bent down and deposited both humans onto the plush cream carpet. Without another word, she turned and exited the room, sealing the two inside.
Mathew watched the door click shut, sealing them in deafening silence. His heart pounded as he turned to face the girl called Jasmine. She stood only a few feet away, arms crossed, studying him intently. Now was his chance to get answers.
Mathew strode towards her, trying to look bigger and bolder than he felt. "Your bodyguard is gone now," he declared, "so tell me what you and Rose were talking about on the way over here!"
Jasmine scowled, her petite features twisting in annoyance. "I don't wanna talk about it. I'll tell you in the morning."
"No!" Mathew countered. "Tell me now!" He was through being kept in the dark.
Jasmine advanced towards him, her voice taking on a menacing edge. "You're starting to piss me off."
Mathew stood his ground. "No reason to get angry, okay?" he reasoned. "We're just two humans here."
"First off, I'm not a pathetic human like you," Jasmine hissed. "And second, you know why I'm feared by literally everyone in school?"
Mathew blinked, momentarily stunned into silence by the sudden venom in her tone.
Sensing his surprise, Jasmine pressed on. "It was Rose, not me. I just used her. I wonder why Rose would choose a person like you to be her friend?" Mathew shot back, regaining his nerve.
A sly, knowing smile spread across Jasmine's face. "Because she has no choice. She's not my friend but my servant."
Mathew balked. "Wow, trash talking someone who took pity on you and made you her friend?" he scoffed. "Do you know how many people would kill to be in your situation?"
Jasmine pretended to ponder. "Hmm, how many?"
"A lot!" Mathew shouted. He was quickly losing his composure in the face of this girl's convoluted lies and mind games.
"Doesn't matter." Jasmine gave a nonchalant sniff. "What matters is what I'm gonna do with you."
Adrenaline flooded Mathew's system at the implied threat. He struggled to keep his voice steady. "You mean what Rose is gonna do to me?" He gestured wildly around the giant-sized dorm room. "But that's not gonna happen because when Rose finds out what you just said, it's bye bye for you! In fact..." Inspiration dawned. "...I recorded all this on my phone!"
He pulled his phone from his pocket, waving it triumphantly. "Now you'll see what she does to you when she hears it!" It was a bluff, but Mathew prayed she wouldn't call him out.
Jasmine's confident expression wavered slightly. She took a small step back. "S-sorry, I was joking, okay?" she stammered. "Please don't show her that video. It would ruin our friendship and she might not want to be around me anymore."
Her voice took on a pleading note. "Which might be the end for both of us."
Sensing he now had the upper hand, Mathew doubled down. "Well, tell me your secrets or I'll show Rose the video next time I see her!"
Jasmine stared at him a moment, then her lips stretched into an odd, unbalanced smile. "Hahahaha!" she cackled wildly. "You wanna tell Rose? Then go ahead! In fact, I'll call her myself!"
Before Mathew could react, Jasmine had extracted a cell phone. Her fingers flew across the screen.
"Rose, come over!" she turned on the speaker. "Mathew wants to tell you something!"
Mathew froze. This wasn't the reaction he had anticipated.
Rose's low voice emanated from the tiny speaker. "Stop dragging this out. Just tell him and get it over with." She sounded more weary than angry.
Jasmine pouted. "I don't want the fun to end yet!"
"You're playing games with him," Rose chided bluntly. "It's not even an actual secret."
"Yeah, he's stupid!" Jasmine giggled. Then her tone shifted, taking on a wheedling quality. "Come on Rose, just come over."
"Fine," Rose huffed over the tinny speaker. "I hope you haven't run out of ice cream."
Jasmine grinned impishly. "Nope, I still have plenty!"
"Okay, I'm coming."
The line went dead. Jasmine snapped the phone shut with a self-satisfied smirk. "Well, she's on her way over. You can tell her aaaalll about the video."
Mathew stood fixed in place, sagest trying futilely to deduce what was happening. Before he could assemble a coherent thought, a thunderous knock shook the dorm room door.
Rose lumbered in, having to duck slightly to avoid hitting her head on the door frame. She stared down at the two tiny humans standing on her floor, one defiant, the other grinning like a hyena.
Seizing the chance he had orchestrated, Mathew raced forward. "Rose! Rose! You wouldn't believe what Jasmine said about you!" He pointed up at her dramatically. "She said you're her servant! And that she could dispose of you whenever she feels like it!"
Jasmine scoffed loudly. "I didn't say the second part."
Mathew ignored her. "Well you did!" he raged. Turning beseechingly back to Rose he went on. "She acts all high and mighty, but she's just using your identity!"
Rose gazed down at them impassively as Mathew ranted, then cut him off. "Well, here is the truth, Mathew..."
"Don't you dare, Rose!" Jasmine interjected heatedly.
"Jasmine is a human," Rose stated in a matter-of-fact tone. "An average human."
Mathew pumped his fist, vindicated. "I knew it! I freaking knew you were lying about everything!"
"I'm not human!" Jasmine stomped her foot angrily. "Don't believe her Mathew, she's lying!"
Mathew crossed his arms. "Then why are you denying it so hard? Just admit you're an average weak human like me."
Jasmine's eyes flashed dangerously. "Because I am NOT human and they are pathetic!" She drew herself up to her full tiny height. "When I'm on Rose's shoulder and at my normal height, I see you as specks of sand!"
"What are you talking about?" Mathew cried in frustration. "I'm literally taller than you right now! If anyone's pathetic here it's..."
Jasmine cut him off, jabbing a finger towards his chest. "I don't care if you're taller than what you see now. I am not human. The fact is, you're beneath me!"
Temper flaring, Mathew took a step towards her. "Why you...!"
But before he could act, giant fingers closed around his midsection, plucking him cleanly off the ground. "That's enough!" Rose commanded. "Do you want to get yourself killed?"
Dangling helplessly in her clutches, Mathew's bravado evaporated.
"Rose..." Jasmine looked up nervously at her giant friend. Mathew thought he detected real fear in her eyes. "Remember the plan," she implored. "I let him stay and keep him alive. And you play along."
Understanding clicked in Mathew's mind. "Is that what you meant about it being the end for both of us if I show her the video?" he spoke up. "Because your little 'arrangement' would be ruined?"
Jasmine ignored him, keeping her worried gaze fixed on Rose.
The giantess gave a resigned sigh before carefully lowering Mathew back to the carpet. "I need to show you something," she muttered. Moving across the room, she slid open a drawer in a towering dresser. Reaching inside, she extracted what appeared to be a birdcage.
Peering between the bars, Mathew spotted a tiny, emaciated figure huddled inside. His heart dropped to see another human imprisoned.
Rose dangled the cage before them. "Little human," she rumbled, addressing the captive directly. "Am I the queen who took you here?"
The figure stirred slightly, then croaked out a barely audible, "No."
Rose shifted the cage, directing it towards Jasmine. "Is she the one that captured you? The one who brought you here?"
The little prisoner seemed to recoil deeper into the shadows. "Yes," came the hesitant confirmation. "But she was...bigger."
Mathew jabbed an accusatory finger at Jasmine. "Aha! More proof you're lying!"
Jasmine simply examined her nails, appearing bored.
With a frustrated huff, Rose lowered the cage. "Well, I tried. Believe what you want." And with that, she exited the dorm room with long strides, taking both cage and occupant with her.
An uneasy silence blanketed the room. Unsure what to think or feel, Mathew stood rigidly in place. This entire day had been nothing short of surreal.
"Uhm...that was awkward," Jasmine murmured, finally breaking the tense atmosphere hanging over them.
"You bet," Mathew muttered. His head was beginning to pound. He wanted nothing more than to wake up from whatever bizarre dream he had wandered into.
Jasmine glanced around the empty room. "Soo...what now?"
Mathew pinched the bridge of his nose, willing patience. "I guess we take baths," he sighed wearily. "Then get something to eat." His stomach rumbled loudly at the thought.
Jasmine perked up. "Cool idea! But..." She gazed upwards at the colossal furniture surrounding them. "How do you suppose we get to the kitchen from down here?"
Mathew followed her gaze. In all honesty, he had no idea how to navigate this world of massive structures and cavernous rooms. At a loss, he gave the first response that came to mind. "I was thinking Rose could help us."
Jasmine shook her head. "Nah, she's probably already up in her room by now."
Then A look of shock flitted across her face."That bitch!"Jasmine burst out angrily. "She only did all that so she could take my pet to herself!"
"Yeah, I noticed," said Mathew flatley, too exhausted to muster any further reaction.
She began pacing back and forth, muttering under her breath as she racked her brain for ideas.
Meanwhile, Mathew slumped down onto the plush pink rug, absently running his hands through the shaggy fibres. He wondered if he could somehow get to the door and venture out to search for food on his own. But the room was simply too massive - he'd never be able to reach the door handle let alone pull it.
"I knew she was up to something" jasmine said
Mathew turned and gave her an incredulous look. "YOURS? Wasn't he hers to begin with?"
Jasmine waved a hand. "No no, that guy was mine! Ugh, she does this everytime, depriving me of fun." She started stomping towards the dorm room door with purpose.
Mathew jumped forward, grabbing her slender arm. "Whoa, hang on! Where are you going exactly?" A tiny part of him worried she might actually try confronting a 70-foot giantess.
Jasmine shook out of his grasp. "I'm getting him back! I'll be right back." And with that she marched up towards the door.
And with that, she began...glowing. Yes, glowing! It started as a soft radiance emanating from within her skin. But the light kept intensifying until Mathew had to shield his eyes completely. He also heard a series of strange crunching and snapping noises.
What the hell was happening??? Braving the blinding glare, he squinted through splayed fingers to see Jasmine's petite form expanding rapidly. No...not just expanding, growing! Within seconds she had transformed into a towering giantess, over 80 feet tall!
Mathew scrambled back in shock and disbelief as Jasmine's massive head now high above. "Wha....what just happened???" he yelled, unable to process this new impossibility.
Jasmine glanced down at him, an amused smirk playing about her lips. "I'll be back," she rumbled. And with that, she spun around and exited the dorm room, leaving an utterly dumbfounded Mathew gaping after her.
Alone once more, Mathew began pacing around the room just as Jasmine had done earlier. Only now, his circling footsteps left him feeling like a mouse trapped in a labyrinth rather than a human exploring a space.
Had he slipped into some alternate reality? How was any of this possible? People don't just magically grow 80 feet in seconds! And the giantess didn't shrink either, Jasmine still hadn't provided a shred of explanation about who or what she really was.
Frustrated, Mathew plopped down onto the carpet again. Absently grabbing a loose thread, he tugged harder and harder as his agitation grew. Abruptly the thread snapped, pricking his finger.
"Ow!" he yelped, shaking out the stinging digit. He stared gloomily down at the thin trickle of blood oozing from the tiny puncture.
Somehow this miniscule injury perfectly encapsulated everything confusing and frustrating about his current predicament. Trapped alone in this towering room, he felt smaller and more insignificant than ever. Just a tiny, helpless human trying to survive in a world of unpredictable giantesses who could squash him without thought.
Despair threatened to overwhelm Mathew. Burying his head in his hands, he wondered if he should try begging Jasmine to forget whatever he had said.
Just then, the door swung open. And Jasmine stood glaring down at him, the tiny caged man from earlier clutched in her hand.
With a huff, Jasmine strode into the room and slammed the door shut. She then crouched down before placing the cage on the floor next to Matthew.
"Now as for you..." she growled.
Matthew instinctively retreated several steps. Jasmine watched his movements closely before breaking into loud laughter.
"Scared of me now, aren't you?" She mocked. "Not so smug anymore, huh?"
Matthew stared up at her in silence, uncertainty and fear etched on his face.
Jasmine grinned wickedly. "What's wrong? Cat got your tongue?"
When Matthew still didn't respond, Jasmine laughed again. The sound reverberated around the room.
"Listen well, pet. I am the Queen around here. My powers go far beyond what you can imagine," she boasted. "I may entertain your silly notions of equality when it suits me. But make no mistake - you belong to me now."
Matthew bristled at her words. "I don't belong to anyone!" he retorted angrily.
Jasmine raised an eyebrow in surprise. "You would do well to watch that tone with me, Mathew," she scolded. "I haven't ended your life yet, You should be grateful to me."
Matthew bit back his sharp reply. Getting on her bad side would not end well for him.
She stretched out her hand, palm upturned in offering. Matthew eyed it warily.
"I won't bite," Jasmine chuckled. When Matthew still didn't move, her eyes narrowed. "Do not test my patience, Mathew."
Heart thudding loudly in his ears, Matthew slowly stepped onto her waiting palm. As her fingers curled up around him, he grabbed onto one for support. Jasmine stood back up and walked casually over to the bed.
After situating herself comfortably against the headboard, she placed Matthew on her thigh. Though he sat tentatively at first, her surprising warmth and softness soon eased his nerves.
As Jasmine gazed down at him, her expression shifted to something unreadable. She raised a finger to gently stroke Matthew's back.
"There now, little one. This isn't so bad, is it?" She purred.
Matthew shook his head mutely, causing Jasmine to smile. She continued absentmindedly caressing him as she became lost in her thoughts. There were surely more revelations to come between them. But for now, having his small form pressed close against her was a reassuring comfort.
Matthew suddenly spoke struggling to form words, his mind racing to understand. "But...before...you were just as small as me! And now you're....you're...." His voice trailed off as he gazed up at the goddess before him."Oh I can change my size whenever I want, I'm a titan. I was just simply having some fun playing with you."
She reached down and stroked a single finger slowly down his body. Matthew shuddered, sudden fear and awe mixing within him.Jasmine leaned down until her face filled his vision, cascades of crimson hair enveloping him. "Did you really think you could threaten me? That I was the servant of anyone?" Her breath was hot against his skin. She chuckled. "Oh this will be fun, my sweet little mathew. I'm going to savour playing with you."Matthew's thoughts spun wildly. How could this be? She had seemed just a normal girl before. He frantically tried to understand what she was and what her plans for him could be. He stammered "Wait, no...I don't understand...how is this possible?"Jasmine sighed, her hot breath blasting his face. "So many questions, so much talking. I think it's time you learned when to speak and when to simply obey."In one smooth motion she grabbed Matthew, pinning his arms to his sides, and brought him up towards her face. He struggled uselessly in her iron grip. She parted her full lips and dangled him over her mouth, grinning wickedly, savouring his struggles. She stuck her tongue out, letting it slide slowly over his torso.
"Hmm I wonder how you'll taste," she purred. "Sweet? Salty? Delicious?"
Matthew kicked his legs frantically, his heart pounding. "No no no, please! You can't eat me!" he begged. He stared down past her pearly white teeth into the wet cavern beyond.
Jasmine let out a throaty laugh. "Of course I'm not going to eat you, silly boy! What good would my new toy be if he was in my tummy?"
She closed her mouth and lowered Matthew, still pinched firmly in her hand. Bringing him up to her face she inspected him closely.
"Although I could just swallow you whole if I wanted. It would be so easy to make you disappear." She squeezed slightly, making Matthew gasp.
Then she relaxed her grip. Tracing a finger slowly over his heaving chest, she pouted.
"But it would be such a waste. Plus I promised Rose I'll take care of you."
Her eyes narrowed, glinting with wicked delight. Matthew shrank back instinctively.
