One night, after stumbling upon a one-legged Neko by the dumpster, Noah is dropped into a world of corporate espionage and black markets. This story takes place in a world where the Japanese economic miracle never stopped and where the American West Coast is heavily influenced by Japanese culture. It follows Noah - a struggling economics student adjusting to his life in the newly-built town of Namiport. Here, genetically modified pets called Kemonomimi are becoming commonplace, with society slowly adapting to them.
