This is one of your best stories yet, I think.  I love the variety of interactions you came up with, and how your characters started out sympathetic and reasonable.  The scene where mother and daughter reunite after separately abusing their captives was fantastic.

Your last two endings aren't making me feel optimistic about the fate of Jack, though. :)

Haha, you'd think his spirit would be so thoroughly broken at this point that he would be almost psychologically immune to these 'games'.  Especially without a mastermind like Carly crafting his torment, Chloe is like amateur hour in comparison, heh.

On the other hand, maybe the thought of his possible imminent rescue (?) makes it worse (?).  Chloe might not be a suspect right now but I really doubt he will be hers for long with two other people looking for him.  The real question is, who will find him first? :)

Wow, I kind of expected this would happen (otherwise his whole escape at home would have been pointless) but this still really changes the tone of the story.  I think Jack's stubbornness in the face of impossible odds really caused a lot of people (including me) to root for him, now they are pretty pissed, haha.

I suspect he is going to wake up soon and discover what the  he's gotten himself into.  I sort of doubt he will stay broken for the rest of the story, as I think that might make him a less interesting narrator.

Plus, if Carly actually gets shrunken he needs to be sort of 'there' mentally in order to deliver that long-deserved punch in the face.

Wow, this is great so far.  It's obviously a common scenario but I've never seen anyone cover it in such a realistic way.  I like the pace you're taking with the story too, no need to rush anything - you describe the psychology and the interaction wonderfully.

Daaamn this is a freaking masterpiece.  I love the mixture of her emotional vulnerability, his manipulation and her effective omnipotence.  Very few stories try something like this and even fewer do it so well.

Kinda reminds me of Oyayubihime actually.  But way more intricate and awesome.  Keep it up!

I really like how you portray the captives' interactions with Julia, and the way you can see them getting used to their situation.  It seems like Julia cares about them even if in a screwed up way. 

Once again you do a great job conveying tension and portraying the psychological aspects of some messed up scenarios.  I like it!

On the edge of my seat here.  This story is so great!  I don't know what happened that got you pumping out chapters but it's awesome.

Very interesting insight into Crawford and the gang.  He is basically working from the perspective of "nation-state morality": trust no one, have a plan for every contingency, use every resource available.  Makes sense since he is ultimately responsible for the lives of everyone in the zone.  Meanwhile Kate is perceiving all this interaction as genuine at a personal level...

It makes total sense for this to happen when one person gets such power.  Really curious to see where this goes.

Yay, another Kate chapter!  This one was very touching.  I continue to be amazed at how well-crafted and unique your giga interactions are. 

I totally understand that working with a such an extreme size ratio would be frustrating, but it also opens up some doors as well - I say this as someone who is normally not a fan of giga at all.  You are very good at playing with this sort of overwhelming difference and communicating the magnitude of it, particularly in the recent Kate chapters and Nicole's little extermination.

OK, this story is seriously amazing.  I love how you've built a little world - with tribes, leaders, wars, and outlaws... and then toss Clara into it to mess everything up.  Her interest warps the existing power structure into something unrecognizable - a small girl with influence (Lea or Charlotte) is worth more than any tribe or group of warrors.

I also love how Clara reacts to her power.  Not just acting evil or demanding worship but rather playing with her little world like a toy, trying out social experiments, and so on.  She's been quite evil but it's a very human kind of evil which is easy to empathize with.

I wonder what will happen to Lea.  Charlotte understands her situation and has definitely out-played her.  But, Clara is unpredictable and if Lea can wise up, ride Clara's next mood swing and guide it properly she may have a chance.  One thing is sure, only one will ultimately survive this little "battle".
