That was intense and kind of sad. I think the scene was really well-written, but I found it surprisingly hard to connect with a domination scene where the dominant person isn’t into it. I think it worked best at the end when Mary directly orders him to destroy Julia’s corpse, involving herself in the action instead of lurking.
Looking forward to seeing how this ends! Any new stories in the works?

The little guy has to face the consequences of his actions. Maybe Victor just wanted to be a good man by trying to get Mary to torture and murder less during her games, but as we saw with Francis, those who want to be "a good man" don't always end well.

Wow! I love that Mary sees the opposite POV and her realization isn’t “be nicer” but rather “damn it’s good to be an Apex.”
Mary’s terms are the perfect way to frame their relationship going forward. I hope Judy is equally capable of compartmentalizing - her advocacy for Lester is encouraging. I’m curious to see how the tension with him gets resolved.
Can’t wait to see Judy unleashed! I want to see her personally handle some minis.

Great chapter! I loved how Mary hyped herself up, and how quickly it wavered when she thought Victor was scared. I’m not a fan of animal stuff but the scene was well-written.
Happy to see the return of flashbacks! You do a good job of integrating them into the story. I would love to see more flashbacks of a younger Mary testing her power and wiping out some families along the way.
Next chapter sounds exciting!

Good chapter! The restaurant concept is awesome and horrifying. Victor is still less interesting than Fred, but I think his discomfort is a good contrast to Mary’s eagerness.
I keep thinking about last chapter when Fred was venting to Mary. I hope Mary continues to show a submissive streak. I don’t know if Fred would be morally ok with dating Mary, but they seem like a better fit in that Fred actually has the confidence to “boss” Mary around.
Hope we get to see Mary force some Victor/mini interactions. The big F - medium M - small f/m dynamic is awesome and underutilized.
I love the way you describe Mary’s abuse, but I think the individual deaths would be more impactful if you switched to the victim’s POV some of the time.
What do Mary and Victor talk about? Does Mary have hobbies outside acts of control? Her embarrassment that the date wasn’t going well could have been played up more. Near the beginning, Mary makes a joke to her Mom about cleaning her foot then gets embarrassed. And later gets embarrassed when she tried to intimidate her. I love these moments.

Great chapter! I like how you balance Mary’s acts of cruelty against her more reasonable relationships with her friends and family. The way you write her thought process and her conversations about power dynamics are what really elevate the story.
Victor is not a very interesting character so far, but I like Fred a lot! Watching Mary orchestrate everything was awesome!
Regarding Judy, you previously wrote “In those games she could be a queen who decided the fate of the victims, … or even a victim, camouflaged among the others, listening to their plans to escape and savoring their pain and fear.” I would love to see either of those scenarios written out.
I’m still #TeamLester. I realized that he has grown up his whole life without fear thanks to Mary’s seal, unlike Judy who I assume at one point was vulnerable. How does that affect his personality? How does it affect his relationships? Are people jealous of his status?
You’ve written several times that Mary feels very protective of her family. I want to see this in action. We haven’t seen Mary actually get mad yet, and I wonder what she would do to someone who tried to hurt her mom or brother. Maybe a relative of someone she killed seeking revenge?
Does Mary always go for the kill, or does she ever deliberately maim, cripple, blind, etc.?

Fantastic dialogue and world building. Great perspective from Judy, handled very delicately. It will be interesting to see Mary take more responsibility in her actions. She’s now responsible for Judy and Lester’s happiness. Judy has been shown to have a power kink. Will Mary provide the same role her father did, dominating tinys and minis for her mom? And how does Lester fit in? Will anyone at school date him knowing what happened to Evelyn? Will Mary force some girl to be his new girlfriend / sex slave as an apology? Is that something he would even enjoy, or be encouraged to enjoy?
