We already suspected she did that. So far I like the balance in the story and feelings and background information of the characters.
Darcy underestimates the impact of the shrinking. That is the fun part. When he keeps on shrinking or never grows back, that is when the fear comes in.
Some readers and writers underestimate the impact of what it really means to be 2ft or 6 inches tall. If Jay never grows back, his life and dreams are shattered. He has to give so much up. His friends, his sporting career, his independence and freedom. If this isn't permanent, they can look back at it and laugh about it.
I love a good slow size change story and all the consequences that come with it in rich detail. :)

Actually, the tone of the story kind of suggests that his sister is going to at least have fun at his expense later, after he's tiny. And that also seems to be the author's preference. I am tired of some reviewers asking that characters don't act in accordance with how the author has set them up. The tags "Humiliation" and "Incest" should be a clue as to how the author envisioned this story, and I for one like it a lot and home the brother is demolished emotionally at some point. :)
