Chapter 1 by Jacksmith

Brandon felt his knees turn to Jell-O. He gripped the nearby railing of the walkway, the only thing keeping him from staggering to the ground. His every nerve was alive and hyper-sensitive with marrow-chilling anxiety, and possibly terror, depending on whatever happened next. When he woke up this morning, he wouldn’t have dared dream he’d be in this position now. After all, he only knew a couple of giants, acquaintances at best, and had made a special point of staying well away from them since. Yet here he was.

Kaylee, all four-hundred-and-fifteen feet of her, crouched over the building where she’d cornered Brandon as soon as he emerged. Her shadow bathed the entirety of the structure, and one of the angles of her svelte and feminine form was visible from just about any window; a dark skirt and deep-crimson top hugged the curves of her slender shape. She made no sudden movements, delicately brushing her wild golden locks over her ears and flashing Brandon a reassuring smile; still, the gesture could only be so comforting when a beautiful face scaled to the grandeur of a billboard was currently hovering a stone’s throw away from the young man, her blue eyes focused squarely on him. Her adorable dimples deepened, and lips plenty wide enough to gulp Brandon inside spread into a grin, displaying her pearly white chompers.

“Hi, Brandon!” she boomed, though her intent was to keep her volume to a polite indoor-voice. “Funny running into you here, huh?”

Brandon flinched at the first phrase, as it seemed to confirm his fears. His grip on the rail was giving out. What did she want with him? Sure, she was cute, but she was also big enough to crush a car as easily as a soda can.

“Um, h-hi Kaylee,” he mustered.

“Sorry if I surprised you,” she responded, seemingly reading his nerves as awkwardness rather than fright. The girl raised a hand and gently flattened her palm against the side of the building a little ways above Brandon’s head. Fingers as long or even more so than his entire body drummed on the brickwork. For Kaylee it was just an attempt to appear casual in an environment not tailored to her massive body, but to Brandon, it was a spooky reminder that with one swipe downward, the giantess could have him wrapped up in her fist. He shivered, though Kaylee didn’t notice.

“Don’t worry about it,” Brandon said. “What’s, um… what’s going on?”

“I was hoping I could… talk to you about something,” Kaylee said, her cheeks blushing an obvious pink. There was honest-to-God bashfulness in her tone, and she averted her gaze briefly, batting her lashes. “Would you mind if I picked you up?”

Brandon’s blood turned winter-frigid. He eyeballed that enormous hand above, still clutching the side of the building. In all likelihood, she was strong enough to rip the place right off its stone foundations without even breaking a sweat. Then he looked back at Kaylee, saw the determined conviction in her expression, and felt there was no real option.

“Okay, s-sure.”

“Great! Just hold still, and I’ll be extra careful with you, I promise,” Kaylee vowed. That hand left the wall. Her fingers uncurled, light glinting off her nails as her creased palm suddenly gave way above. She lowered with the promised caution, until Brandon’s entire body was faced with the soft wall of her vertical palm. His whole view was blocked instantly. Then, the gentle spires of those fingers curled in tandem around the back, encircling Brandon into the fleshy confinement of Kaylee’s ever-so-carefully closed fist. Only his head still poked out the top.

The young man felt his feet leave the ground, the plushness of Kaylee’s hand squishing around his entire body, and wind whistling by between the cracks separating her tree-trunk-like digits. His heart thundered like never before. Whether it was vertigo or just fear, Brandon couldn’t say, but he was so light-headed he might have been on the verge of passing out by the time Kaylee had lifted the comparatively little man up to the height of her sunnily smiling face.

“Well, that’s better, isn’t it? I never want to force people to yell just so I can hear them,” Kaylee said, returning to full height. Her fingers rippled softly at Brandon’s back, briefly embracing him tighter into the fold of her closed fist. With her opposite hand, she brushed a few stray blonde strands out of her crystalline eyes. “And you can probably hear me better, too.”

“Yes, I can,” Brandon choked out. For an instant, he struggled against the python-like coiled fingers, until it became clear they weren’t budging. His breathing nor his speech was actually impeded by the grip of Kaylee’s warm hand around his body, but his mental state rendered him as putty. “W-What… w-what, um, d-did you…”

“Oh! Sorry, I almost forgot. You’d probably like to be able to move around a little,” Kaylee said, rolling her eyes at her own habit. Turning her hand over, palm to the sky, she unraveled her fingers from around Brandon’s body. “Here ya go.”

He sprawled in the center of Kaylee’s pale palm, momentarily staring in disbelief at the intricate detail of the crisscrossing lines and infinitesimal skin cell geography texturing her skin. This didn’t seem real. Here he’d never even been within ten feet of a giant before, and now one had actually plucked him off the ground as simply as a feather, and was holding him in her hand.

“T-Thanks,” was all Brandon could manage.

“No problem! Anyway, it’s more private up here, and, uh… it would be kinda embarrassing if I just went shouting this out to everybody down there,” Kaylee continued, her gaze darting intermittently at the distant ground. Brandon didn’t dare peer over the curved edge of her gangplanked fingers, for fear of nausea contributing to the paralysis he already felt at being cradled by a giantess in the first place.

“What is it?” he asked. The sooner they got through this, the better, as far as Brandon was concerned. Thus far, he had no reason to believe Kaylee intended him harm, but then again, who was he to predict the feelings of this godlike woman whose footsteps rivaled seismic activity?

“Well… I, uh… I’m not really quite sure how to say this,” Kaylee said, just as skittish as before. She shifted her weight from foot to foot on the ground below; if it wasn’t for her skyscraping height, she might’ve been mistaken for an introverted schoolgirl. “I practiced in front of a mirror a few times. That probably sounds dumb, and… I already wish I hadn’t said that. Wow, okay, um… here it comes, Brandon…”

“Yes?” he squeaked.

Chapter 2 by Jacksmith

“I… like you,” Kaylee answered. “As in like-you, like-you. God, that sounds so silly. I’m just nervous. What I mean is, I have… feelings for you. Deep ones. I care about you a ton, and I just want to know if you… feel the same way at all about me?”

Brandon was stricken, more shocked than if Kaylee’s palm had overturned to dump him to his doom. Here he thought that being picked up by a giant would be the most surprising thing to happen to him today, but these last words out of the young woman’s mouth put that expectation to rest. Jaw hanging open, Brandon was truly speechless. Under his back, he noticed the slightest trace of clammy moisture frosting over Kaylee’s hand. She was nervous, too.

“I know, I know, it seems like I’m putting you on the spot, and… I am, but I just couldn’t take it anymore. The waiting, I mean. I had to know how you feel, too,” Kaylee rambled on. Her words were sincere, and quelled some of the panic threatening to bubble up in Brandon, but it was still far too much to take in. “You’ve just always been so nice to me, and you’re funny and cute and smart and… ugh, I’m doing this all wrong. This is probably the weirdest way you’ve ever been asked out. But I need to know, once and for all, how you feel about me.”

The options flashed through Brandon’s mind, and none of them were straightforward. The situation was so surreal, it was tough for him to even know himself what the answer was. Kaylee was adorably human, despite her inhuman stature, and frankly a knockout beauty in a girl-next-door way: really, the ideal match for Brandon, if it wasn’t for his tendency to be terrified of any creature large and powerful enough to hold him in the center of their hand.

What would she say if he gave her an answer she didn’t like? Might she just send him flying, either on purpose or not? Kaylee was obviously emotionally invested in him in ways he would’ve never guessed. Brandon might have bet she didn’t even remember his name before, and yet here she was with the world’s literal biggest crush on him. Having a being that massive and mighty so focused on his existence was intimidating, and made Brandon speak before he’d even thought through the words:

“I like you, too.”

“Really?”

“Yes.”

There was a pause where Kaylee studied him, her countenance unreadable. She blinked, her lips quivered, and then the smile returned with a grateful vengeance. The girl clenched her eyes shut, and when they opened again, glistening tears had welled before her blue irises.

“Oh my God, that’s… such a relief, Brandon, I can’t even tell you. I’ve just been so nervous about what you’d say, and now that I’ve got you here and you… y-you tell me you feel the same, wow…” Now it was Kaylee’s turn to be beside herself. She knelt to the ground again, cupping her free hand against her freckled cheek. Her flattened palm briefly quaked, but steadied before Brandon had time to worry for his safety more than he already was. Once Kaylee got ahold of herself, she drew her hand nearer to her face, until her chin rested against the curvature of her wrist.

Hot, spearmint-scented exhalations fogged around Brandon at such close proximity to Kaylee’s opened lips. Her breathing was growing shallower, then relaxing again as she stared down the miniature man in her palm. All Brandon could say for certain was that he was transfixed by the giantess’s face looming so near, and whether it was due to genuine attraction or fight-or-flight reaction was impossible to know.

“Oh, Brandon. This is… perfect. I’m so happy things went like this.”

“M-Me too.” It was far too late to back out now.

“Don’t worry. I’ll still be careful. But, I have to… touch you… please, just hold still for me, okay?”

A doe-eyed focus enchanted the girl’s face. The fingers of Kaylee’s opposite hand crested over her palm, and a thumb as wide as Brandon’s body reached for him. Taking a step back felt stupid; there was nowhere to go up here. Kaylee’s pillowy thumbpad made contact with Brandon’s chest, stroked its way down his torso, and along his legs. Then she did it again, and a third time. Soon her other fingers joined in, petting Brandon’s back and even circling her pinky around the top of his head, ruffling his hair. Strangely, her touch had a calming effect on Brandon, despite his fears that these very same fingers might accidentally flick him into the mid-distance. In contrast to her gracefulness, there was a raw strength Brandon sensed in those digits. Yet she was in complete control of her hands, caressing him with gentility comparable to an intimate hug.

It wasn’t bad. Brandon had to admit that to himself.

How in the hell had he gotten into this situation?

“I know it isn’t very private out here. Could I come see you, tonight?” Kaylee requested in a soft purr. Her fingers continued petting Brandon, increasingly enclosing him into an igloo comprised of her lukewarm palm. She practically had him cupped between the two hands, like a precious animal she was afraid might leap out of her grasp.

“S-Sure.”

“Okay. You don’t have to worry about trying to find me, I’m… sure I can find you,” Kaylee promised. “Oh, and before I go… sorry, but I just can’t put it off any more. I’ve waited such a long time to do this.”

Brandon was on the verge of fruitlessly pondering her intentions again when the question was answered by Kaylee’s closed eyes and the abrupt puckering of her lips. The soft, pink flesh tightened into a point and her cheeks puffed slightly as she drew her hands to her mouth as if taking a drink from a stream. With a palm cupped at Brandon’s back, there was nowhere to go but toward those incoming lips.

The kiss was but a peck, lasting only a second, but for Brandon, the effect was moist and all-consuming; even puckered, Kaylee’s lips easily covered his whole head. A murmur gurgled from her throat, and the girl pulled away. Inadvertently, she’d pinned Brandon down to her hand by the gentle force of her lips, though of course she didn’t notice. Instead, she stooped back down to the sidewalk by the building, and laid her hand on the ground. Rather than wait for Brandon to disembark on his own, which might’ve taken several minutes anyway given the befuddling shock of that spit-laced kiss, Kaylee’s thumb and index finger cinched sweetly around Brandon’s hips and picked him clean off her palm. Only when the young man’s sneakers hit pavement again did the reality of this event really set fully in.

Chapter 3 by Jacksmith

“I’ll come by your apartment around seven, okay?” Kaylee said. The volume of her voice had returned to earthshaking decibels, reminding Brandon definitively that he’d just been romantically propositioned by an actual giantess. If that wasn’t enough, the sight of the kind-hearted blonde stretching back to her four-hundred-plus-foot height really drove the point home. Brandon had to crane his neck all the way back to make out her beaming face from this distance; on solid earth, even the girl’s slip-on ballet flats were something like yachts.

“Sounds good,” Brandon said, still unable to keep himself from saying things he’d probably regret later. He doubted she could even hear him.

“See ya later, cutie.” Kaylee winked, waggled her fingers in a regal princess fashion, and strolled back down the street. Every footfall rumbled the ground below Brandon’s jellied legs, until Kaylee had turned around the block, though even then, most of her body was still visible over the rooftops.

Overwhelmed, Brandon slumped back into a bench before his legs gave out.

###

In hindsight, it was foolish for Brandon to watch the door of his apartment, but his nerves were so frayed, logic had gone out the window. This was why he was startled to hear the sound of glass rapping loudly by the balcony. Turning around, he saw those same giant, elegant fingers tap-tap-tapping away at the window to get his attention. Through the adjoining gateway, he could make out a single gemlike blue eye peeking inside the relative dollhouse that was his apartment. She knew he was here. There was no backing out.

“Hello in there. I see you,” Kaylee cooed, obviously just greeting him with some lilting humor, but Brandon couldn’t help but feel trapped by the idea that his accidental girlfriend could simply kneel outside his apartment building and find him. There was no way to leave this place without being spotted by her. Brandon stepped onto the balcony.

“H-Hi,” he mumbled.

“I can hear you’re nervous still. I kinda am, too, honestly. I mean, I’m sure you know it’s not super-often that little people and giants get together,” Kaylee confessed, hands over her heart. Even bowed on her knees beside the building, she still had to duck down to get within comfortable range of Brandon’s vantage. “But it’s okay. All that matters is that we got it out there. How we feel, I mean. Everything else can just be… fun little surprises, you know?”

“Yeah, I… think so too.”

“Awesome. God, it was tough, waiting to see you again, now that I know you feel the same as me. Come here, you adorable thing.” There was no prompting this time. Kaylee’s hand rose into view, her fingers pre-emptively curling in anticipation of containing her chosen mate. Rather than taking the same time to curl him finger by finger into her fist, Kaylee was a bit more forward this time, instead collecting Brandon amongst the bundle of her softly clawed digits.

Briefly jostled but not uncomfortable, the tiny man was turned head-over-heels inside Kaylee’s gently caged hand as she lifted him up. His face smushed along the buttery-smooth valley of her palm, before he righted himself when the girl’s fingers parted again. There was decidedly less room to move around now, compared to their earlier encounter. Whereas Kaylee’s palm was flat and open then, maximizing Brandon’s freedom of movement, she was a bit more protective, perhaps even possessive this time, keeping her fingers frozen in tidal wave shape at Brandon’s back.

“Oops. Sorry. I, uh, guess I didn’t ask this time,” Kaylee observed once she was back at full height and cupping her new boyfriend in front of her face. The moonlight reflected in her blue eyes, and Brandon saw an instant of remorse. “I hope you don’t mind, Brandon. I just wanted to hold you again. It… felt so nice, earlier, having you in my hands. Close to me.”

“It’s okay,” Brandon lied. He wrung his knuckles, stuck firmly between horror at being snatched like a toy from his balcony, and the very-real possibility that he was starting to feel something more than a surface level attraction to this giant woman. What was happening?

“Now, where were we before?” she asked. Kaylee’s voice took on a sudden playfulness. Her thumb and index fingers squeezed softly around his forearm: her best attempt at hand-holding. She raised an eyebrow, winked again, and they both knew the answer well before anyone had to say it.

“Uh… I think I remember.”

“Me too. Sorry if this gets a little bit messy for ya, cutie, but I can’t be held responsible for anything on a day like this, when I’m happier than I’ve been in a long time,” Kaylee warned sweetly. “Now let’s stop the talking for a minute. Please. Just kiss me.” Just like before, she cupped her hand toward her mouth for a smack of affection, but as advertised, the experience was different for Brandon as soon as he impacted those velvety, glossy lips.

Kaylee was not contented with a mere peck. There was no mistaking it. This was a kiss. Undulating lips smothered Brandon down against the girl’s palm, suction buckling around his head and popping the pressure in his ears. A droplet of saliva bubbled at the first compression of her adoring lips, then soaked into the lapels of Brandon’s shirt. The upper and lower lips swam, flapping with the effort to keep from outright suckling Brandon’s whole head inside her mouth like a lollipop. Kaylee’s fingers were back to their former games as well, caressing the young man’s chest and sides, even tracing along his legs and flirtatiously riding her thumb up between them. The smooch soon turned into a full-blown make-out. Kaylee released the softest of moans from the depths of her gullet, occasionally reuniting her lips only to wrap them back over Brandon’s face. Her tongue even flickered out a time or two, doing no more than lapping teasingly at the little man’s head before she retracted the slimy muscle and resumed the gentler massage of her exploratory lips.

And despite himself, Brandon felt some baser instinct overcoming the fears and reservations. He clenched his mouth and did his best to kiss back, tall an order though that was.

“How was that, cutie?” Kaylee asked, her eyes bright. An undentable enthusiasm radiated from her.

“G-Great,” Brandon stammered. Even he couldn’t tell whether that was an exaggeration or not. He was in this now, though. Why not try to enjoy it just a little?
