Story Notes:

This has been a story I've had "in the can" for a long time and have been very eager to build up to it. This has been meant to serve as a "season finale" for the first 10 episodes of the series and I hope everybody enjoys it. Writing this tale both as Kruella and the other characters has been a delight and I hope you'll have as much fun taking this journey as I did writing it. Please enjoy!

Time and Date : Christmas Evening
Location: Unknown ...

...or maybe not.

It had been but a couple weeks since Dr. Max's sinister plot was foiled. 3 out of 4 of his experimental portal transducers had been disabled or destroyed with the fourth one existing somewhere on the outskirts of town, just outside Fenster Forest.

That wasn't important now though.

What mattered now were the current happenings within Max's now decommissioned underground lab.

What remained of his once spectacular technological marvels appeared to be in shambles, simply a dark reminder of what the mad man was capable of. His whereabouts at this time were also unknown, which suited the folks of Minitropolis just fine. He never seemed like much of a Christmas person anyway.

Then again, neither did she.

Who was "she"?

The woman appeared in a cloud of smoke resulting from a rip in space/time itself. This was no crystal beast however -- no robot,. no strange purple monster. Well she WAS sporting purple. No, this was a woman with flair and style, holding a glowing purple orb of fire just inches above her hand ; her fingernails painted a shiny black onyx to match her lips.

This mysterious stranger had a look all her own, although one could argue she was borrowing heavily from the goth bins at Hot Topic ; she wore stylish black high heel boots, fishnet stockings that hugged her smooth pale thighs, a purple and black patterned plaid skirt and a cinched up purple dress, adorned with a tapestry of cross-stitching that hugged her curvy form.

She'd gaze about the destroyed lab, almost seeming bored. One thing was for sure though, she loved purple. Her eyes, highlighted with trace amounts of black eyeliner, even seemed to glow a majestic shade of amethyst at times, although when they weren't doing that, they'd flicker back to a more normal shade of brown.

Really though, what IS normal?

This woman didn't know anymore. Nor did she care. She was a little perturbed as to what BROUGHT her there ... to some strange new land ... although again, some things looked familiar to her. It wasn't a 1 to 1 replication but this woman could swear in some form or fashion that she had been there before.

But where was "there"? As if a detective on the prowl, she'd come to a stop and analyze.

"Hmmm, it's on the tip of my tongue ... no ... no ... oh ... almost there ..." the woman would whisper to herself, snuffing out the purple fireball that had been in her hands as a light source while she settled into a thinking pose. "I know EXACTLY where I am ... no fuck, I got nothing."

And so she would return to her methodical pacing only to look down at the scratched up metal floors. As if by magic, her mouth began chewing on a snappy piece of tangy grape bubblegum that manifested itself there. She'd pause every so often to snap a bubble and suck it back into her mouth, repeating this process as if just taking your everyday stroll through the mall. Each step of her boots would barely register a sound, save for one very small crack. She'd pick up her foot and there it would be.

Moving her boot would uncover the first real clue, and it was a big one. A rounded medallion that was extremely dulled, almost fossilised but she'd know that logo anywhere. She'd know those letters anywhere.

SG.

At this discovery, she'd raise an eyebrow.

The medallion was purple and gold ... although that was being generous. In its heyday it was certainly purple and gold and shone brightly in the sunlight. Now its hue was dulled and grayed ... kind of like the attention span of the woman who looked at it.

"Psh, had a good run" the woman smirked indifferently before stepping on the medal again with some more force and sliding it like a hockey puck across the floor until it slid through a wall vent and seemed to fade from sight, lost to the entangled ductwork that wove beneath the strange industrial landscape.

"So ... you're in a weird creepy place ... all by yourself..." the woman surmised, almost narrating to nobody in particular, "no signs of life anywhere ... hmm... plenty of room ... floors seem ... acceptable ... I mean, we'll have to scoot the robot wreckage over to the left but given some time, this is a real fixer upper ... no, what am I saying, I could never settle down ... I can't, I won't!"

The room offered her no response, yet she continued to monologue.

"Yo, anybody home?" she'd shout, hearing her voice echo in all directions before shrugging. "Good enough for me"

With that, she'd snap her fingers, a purple light illuminating her from beneath as if on stage ; she'd begin snapping her fingers in time to a song that only she could hear as a pair of earbuds whisked their way into her ears and she hummed the twisted and bittersweet melody of Evanescence's "Bring Me To Life"

As she slid her feet side to side, a pair of rollerblades would present themselves now, transforming her boots into sleek blades ; onyx with purple stripes as she hummed to herself, seemingly lost in the music that surrounded her, now represented in visual form as a wavelength of floating musical notes. As for if the notes were accurate to the song's melody? She had no fucking idea. She wasn't a music major... but it was still a damn cool effect.

This song and dance would go on for but a couple minutes before the woman stopped dead in her tracks.

"What the shit?"

The music stopped instantly, as did her skating ; her footwear reverting back to the boots as she traipsed over towards what she saw.

She had to step closer just to confirm but it was indeed what she had feared. It was the first real sign of emotion she'd shown since entering the lab, except for a coy smile that oftentimes didn't reveal anything. This however, was a true form of emotion.

The woman saw laying on the ground, turned on his side and clearly deceased for some time, the body of Dr. Giovanni Guillardo...or something like that. She wasn't great with names admittedly. She seemed rattled by the discovery, although it wasn't clear why. She shook her head and got up to her feet, looking down in a pensive moment.

Her eyes glowed purple and she'd clench her fist tightly, holding back stinging purple electric bolts as she felt a melancholic rage brielfy overcome her.

"Whoo... settle down, Kru..." she'd say to herself, before hearing something else. This time it wasn't in her head, she was pretty sure. "Ah! I see you!"

She pointed towards what appeared to be a cat or some kind of wily quick animal as it dashed behind a shattered console. She glided over there, no longer on skates but just floating herself off the ground. Walking was overrated after all.

"Hey, I ain't gonna hurt you ..." the goth woman said, leaning over to have a better look.

The hiding specimen on the other side was no feline though, and not friendly either. It was a metallic monstrosity the woman vaguely recognized but was hoping to never see again. It was a Maximite robot.

Through its rudimentary red eyes, the robot locked onto the woman like the Terminator, speaking out loud in a tinny, mechanical voice.

"SUBJECT ALEXIS COLE -- OBJECTIVE DESTROY!!"

The robot sprung off its back legs and attempted to take a sharp chomp out of her torso. This robot would be met with a surprise however as it was stopped in mid-air, donning the same purple glow the woman had.

"Okay so first off...." the woman tsked, "Points off for getting my name wrong... judges?"

The woman looked over towards a judge's table that seemed to just conjure itself up. There sat 3 women who looked just like her, all giving a thumbs down.

"Yeah, sorry, that's an instant disqualification!" the mischevious woman cackled, suddenly returning gravity to its prior functioning state and booting the robot like a football, watching it go up, up and away, smashing through a ceiling that seemed inconceivably high for any mere mortal to have kicked that far up.

The woman turned around to see that she wasn't alone anymore. At least a dozen of the smaller Maximites and more obnoxious Maximech robots had crowded into the once empty area.

"Do you mind??" the woman exhaled, sounding like an annoyed teenager as she threw her arms to the side with frustration, "I'm kinda GOING through some stuff right now ... not that I'd expect you to understand..."

~ DESTROY ... DESTROY... ~

"Okay, well if you insist..." she shrugged, punching the one robot that was about her height in the face, her hand smashing straight through it and leaving a fist shaped hole bordered with purple edges. She'd glance over to the other robots and shrug, as if defending her rash actions "You heard him say DESTROY, right? That IS what he wanted? Just so we're ... yknow, I'd hate to hurt any feelings here..."

The remaining robots would continue to advance on the goth stranger, their feet clicking menacingly. She'd have to roll her eyes.

"Not much for talking, huh? No worries, fellas..." she'd smirk, snapping her fingers, "there's plenty of Ella for everyone!"

The robots, designed for one simple purpose -- the extermination of Alexis Cole AKA ShrinkGirl, had no idea what they were up against now as a small army of duplicates, all varying in size rollerbladed around the Maximites and Maximechs. They were all glowing purple, and each one possessed the same snarkiness as their twisted summoner. Some of them stuck their tongue out, some pulled the ol' "hey look over there!" trick only to spin kick them and some just skated backwards and dished out double middle fingers.

Still, most of these antics weren't actually damaging the robots and the woman had no intention of doing so ... yet. She was just getting warmed up.

Suddenly, all of the enchanted glowing skater goths poofed out of the room, including the original one.

A pair of confused Maximechs looked at each other as if their heads were on a swivel, scanning the entire room for any signs of her. Just when they got back to looking straight ahead, there she was again, standing straight behind the two.

"Have you seen her?" she meeped, in a robot sounding voice, before clunking the 2 robots heads together as though she were Moe of the Three Stooges, "I think she went thattaway!"

The Maximites went on the attack firing off red lasers in her direction.

"Awww you're so cute..." she cooed, floating upright onto her skates and gliding backwards as she looked down at the mini mechs, "Can I keep you? Always wanted a stupid dumb pet that fires off red lasers!"

She would skate within an inch of a Maximite and reel her foot back as if ready to kick the robot like a soccer ball before pausing.

"No... Kruella, you can't do this..." she said to herself, "picking on a poor defenseless little robot ... for shame...."

She'd shrug and shrink herself down to the robot's size and wave before punching it in the face instead.

"That just feels more fair" she'd say gleefully feeling as though she had taken the high road.

The other Maximite let out a harsh shriek, making itself bigger than the woman by taking advantage of its expandable liquid metal form. She'd shrug and look unimpressed.

"Overcompensate much?" she'd shrug, skating in circles around it, causing a ring of purple fire to kick up around her as she did so. The robot would try to keep pace but its head was incapable of spinning so fast and it simply collapsed into a pile of goop.

"Fuck fuck fuck!!" the goth woman yelped, stopping her skating immediately. "...whew false alarm... thought I stepped in robo goop ...yknow you can't get that shit out with ANYTHING..."

She was admittedly briefly startled by a robot clanging its foot down behind her. This sounded like an oil tanker landing on a highway at her current size. She'd look up and resume chewing that bubblegum from earlier.

"Ooh. big scary robot man..." she'd squeak, "that's uh ... that's what you expect me to say, right?"

The robot simply lowered its twin cannon arms and began to open fire. It fired onto the ground many times, sure that it had hit the woman square in the chest, but kept firing anyway, piercing through the steel that she stood on until it resembled the inside of an egg carton.

"TARGET ... EXTERMINATED"

Just then, the robot would feel a tap on its metallic shoulderblade. There she was again.

"You missed a spot" the woman smirked, now full size again. She simply pointed a finger at the robot and watched it shatter into pieces, giggling like a little girl on Christmas as it snowed broken robot parts. "Wheeee!!"

Now back in the soothing silence, the woman kicked back on her heels looking around again.

"Anyone else? No? Nobody?" she'd say proudly, floating herself away, "Alrighty well ... name's Kruella ... I'm here all week... ba ha ha ha... that was kinda fun, not even gonna lie"

The mysterious one who called herself Kruella would take her show on the road -- literally, relocating herself to just outside the lab. It was just as she suspected. Enormo Enterprises.

"Ugh ... Enormo Enterprises ... home of the douchebags ... " Kruella tsked, "...still, wonder if this place has an In and Out Burger? I'm famished..."

Kruella would poof herself just a TAD taller with her ability to extend rollerblades out of her feet and start coasting on the sidewalk before bumping into a lone young woman who seemed startled. The woman was fine as she was able to quickly save herself from falling by reaching and grabbing onto a lamppost. Kruella wasn't so lucky and tripped, falling face first onto the curb. Strangely though it was Kruella who was even more startled than the woman she ran into.

"Shit, are you okay?" the woman said, offering to help her up.

Kruella paused for several seconds, raising an eyebrow.

"You ... can see me?" Kruella asked

"Um... yes??" the woman answered, now as confused as Kruella.

"Huh." Kruella said, sounding neither impressed or unimpressed. "That's uh ... huh. Neat."

"Seriously though, Miss, are you okay? It's awfully dangerous to be rollerblading at night, yknow... plus it's freezing out... aren't you cold without a jacket?" she asked

"All valid questions" Kruella said with a nod and the raising of a single fingertip, "And in order, depends on your definition of 'okay' ... I beg to differ, it's always an excellent time to rollerblade and ... uh ... yeah, I suppose a jacket could really complete the look, huh?"

The woman was about to get an even more outrageous surprise as Kruella floated herself back onto her feet except now she wore a thick black leather jacket over her goth attire. The woman blinked a few times before shaking her head in disbelief and started to run off.

"Okay ... well nice to meet you too!!" Kruella smirked.

Elsewhere, in a much more relaxed setting, two ladies were enjoying a slumber party -- even if ... maybe they would both admit they were a bit too old for it. But this was a special occasion. It was Christmas Evening and the bff's for life that were Lexi and Leah were sharing in their first slumber party in years.

In Lexi's old bedroom back at her parents house (where they'd be staying the night), the room was nearly empty -- cleaned out from when Lexi made her move across town. Still, some posters remained on the wall, a few trinkets littered Lexi's old work desk where she'd draw sketches or do homework. Her bed still remained in the room, perfectly made and unused for months.

Strangely though, neither lady was on the bed or even on the floor in a sleeping bag.

No, in order to find Lexi and Leah, you'd have to check just beside Lexi's former bed -- and look down quite a bit.

"Lex, could you hand me a marshmallow?" Leah asked politely

"I'm... coming..." Lexi squeaked, struggling to lift the boulder sized treat

"C'mon woman, chop chop" Leah teased, watching Lexi struggle with the pillowy treat.

"Hey I don't see you lifting this" Lexi teased

"I'm not a superhero" Leah said sheepishly, "quite frankly, I'm not in the athletic shape to be lifting marshmallows right now"

Lexi stumbled over and bopped Leah in the head softly with the oversized marshmallow.

"Hey!!" Leah chuckled

"Are we sure marshmallow pillow fight was our best idea?" Lexi squeaked with a giggle.

"Well, what would YOU have us do with the marshmallow???" Leah teased, "EAT it? It's like half our size!"

Naturally, one would be crazy to assume anyone would partake in such an unhealthy and inconceivable amount of carbs. Then again, it was pretty crazy to start with that Lexi and Leah were both but a few inches tall and celebrating a Christmas Night slumber party on the dresser turned "campsite"

"I'm really glad we got to do this" Leah swooned, hugging the marshmallow to her body before noticing she was getting kind of sticky from doing so, "...okay yeah, maybe marshmallow pillow fight wasn't the best idea ... good thing these are old pajamas"

"Heh, you think?" Lexi quipped, referring to Leah's comment about the absurdity of fighting with a marshmallow.

Leah WOULD however hurl the marshmallow anyway as though it were a pillow, causing Lexi to roll out of the way, watching as the marshmallow rolled off the dresser and landed on the floor, some several feet away it would appear.

"Hmm..." Lexi groaned, reaching over the edge futilely, "hold on, I'm gonna get it"

"You're gonna get it?" Leah asked curiously, "how are you going to do that?"

"Duh, I'm gonna grow back" Lexi said

"You can't grow back!" Leah squeaked in protest, "this is tiny slumber party! You'll kill the immersion!"

"We already changed sizes earlier to move from the bed to here!" Lexi whined

"Yeah, that's because I was worried about how your cat was looking at us..." Leah reminded her.

"Tiny's fine..." Lexi squeaked, "He's seen me small like DOZENS of times"

"Yeah but he hasn't seen ME small" Leah squeaked, "All I know is, I heard that kitty's tummy rumble and I did not want to wake up as cat chow"

"Psh as if I'd ever let that happen to you, Lee" Lexi smirked, yawning a bit as she grabbed a cotton ball out of the bag the ladies had set up there and fluffed it up as a pillow, leaning it up against her lamp. "I am getting kind of tired though..."

"Me too..." Leah squeaked with a yawn of her own, "mind tossing me a cotton ball slash pillow?"

"Why certainly" Lexi squeaked, doing so, "and would you also like a blanket slash eyeglasses cloth?"

"You know it..." Leah squeaked before questioning something, "why do you even have that? You don't wear eyeglasses"

"...I've been planning tiny slumber party for a very long time, okay?" Lexi giggled, "actually ... ever since that night I came over ... and ... I was tiny ..."

Leah nodded a bit with a grin, even if the memory wasn't such a positive one. It was the night Lexi thought she had accidentally killed Rachel Rutschmann. She was so out of sorts, she either couldn't remember how to change her size back or just plain didn't want to but Leah was there with a supportive smile and a comfortable makeup case for the little one to sleep in.

"You know ..." Leah said softly, "Nothing's going to change ...with ... y'know ... me moving"

"I know, Lee..." Lexi said, staring up at the ceiling, although she was a bit worried herself. She dared not let it show though. "We're going to be tight as ever, I know it ... I'll call you everyday ... heck, maybe I'll stow away in your luggage"

"Heh your little wrist thingies would probably set off the metal detectors at the airport" Leah squeaked, "that would be a hard one to explain ... not sure if it's considered human smuggling if the person WANTS to come with though"

The girls would laugh for a moment before Leah let out another long sigh.

"But ... alas, we both know we can't do that" Leah squeaked

"Well yeah" Lexi shrugged, "the TSA regulations are ridiculous, they won't even let you bring more than 2 ounces of shampoo..."

"No..." Leah responded with a chuckle, "I mean ... as nice as it would be to have you with me ... the city needs you ... your other friends and family need you ... and besides, I'll be back to visit a bunch... I'm a Miniborough...ite for life..."

"Is that really what we're called ... Miniboroughites?" Lexi said, struggling with the confusing word herself.

"I don't know, Lex, it's past midnight, I'm tired... I just made it up" Leah chuckled.

"Fine fine..." Lexi smirked "Hey, think you're awake enough to still gossip about boys? That use to be our other slumber party past time?"

"Eh, always time for boys..." Leah said, suddenly gaining a small burst of energy as she sat up, "although what's there to say?"

"You talk to Justin lately?" Lexi asked

"Here and there..." Leah squeaked, "I wished him a Merry Christmas ... he said his family's not doing the best since ... well, his dad was a big wig over at uh ... that place..."

"Yeah..." Lexi sighed, "a lot of good people unfortunately lost their jobs when the lab shut down..."

The lab shut down for understandable reasons (namely their head engineer going psychotic and trying to kill everyone) but still, not everybody who was employed there shared in Max's delight for human suffering. Joseph Wright, while not the BEST person (he did basically hire out his son to be a Maximillian 'decoy' after all) didn't deserve to lose his job before the holidays.

"But I mean ... him and I were never going to ... be anything, yknow?" Leah said with a shrug. "He's a nice guy .. despite ... everything ... but between my moving and just ... yeah..."

"Hey, you're going to knock some socks off in Colorado!" Lexi quipped, "I wouldn't be surprised if you come back with a boyfriend or two"

"We'll see..." Leah replied with a smirk, "I'm actually ... kind of looking forward to the opportunity though, yknow? Fashion has been my life for ... well, forever... I'd really like to see how far I get ... make my mom proud..."

"Your mom would be super proud" Lexi said with an encouraging smile, "I just know it"

"Thanks Lex..." Leah sighed, nodding as she wore a bittersweet smile on her face, "that truly means a lot"

Another silence passed between the two and it seemed as though the conversation had ended before Leah picked it back up again, particularly on the topic of boys.

"So... how about you and Josh?" Leah asked

"Heh... wh-what about us?" Lexi squeaked shyly.

"Well, he came over tonight, you guys were like ... super cute together ..." Leah quipped

"Didn't expect the Tinkerbell Christmas sweater, I'll admit" Lexi smiled, "that was awfully sweet of him..."

"Plus that big smooch you gave him!" Leah giggled

"He was standing under the mistletoe??" Lexi stammered, trying to defend herself, "am I going to shun centuries of Christmas tradition?"

"Hah... I think you two make a cute couple, for real" Leah said

"We'll ... see where the road goes..." Lexi squeaked, "Heh, can you believe Chris and Chrissy?"

"They're not really ... anything, Lex" Leah said, "I mean as far as I've heard from Chris, they had a nice time and then Chrissy went out of state to be with her family for Christmas but they weren't solid on making second date plans or anything beyond that"

"I still say he ends up with Spark" Lexi said with a shrug.

"Ahhh the romance between human and fairy ... the forbidden love..." Leah swooned as if recalling a tale as old as time, "it's a tale as old as time..."

"Psh, you goober..." Lexi smirked

"No, you!~" Leah retorted

"I'm really glad neither of us has grown up!" Lexi chuckled

"Interesting choice of words ... considering?" Leah squeaked with a smug smirk.

"Hah ... speaking of which ...are we really staying tiny like ... the whole night and morning?" Lexi asked

"What part of tiny slumber party are you not getting?" Leah asked

"It's just ... what if one of us has to go to the bathroom or something?" Lexi asked

Leah paused.

"...okay fine, bathroom breaks are allowed" Leah squeaked.

"Great..." Lexi chuckled, "That's fine for me but if you need to go, you're going to have to wake me up and I'm a sound sleeper..."

"We'll cross that bridge when and if we get to it..." Leah said, again exhaling a yawn. She didn't have long to go. "...I'm surprised Pix didn't stop by"

"She actually celebrated with the Fensterians" Lexi said, "they were extremely accepting of her even at her bigger size compared to them"

"...they had her put the star on the big tree, didn't they?" Leah quipped.

"....well she was THERE anyway, it would be rude for her not to" Lexi chuckled.

"And Sapphire?" Leah asked

"I said she could come over here as well, but she insisted on staying back and ... I quote ... defend the home fortress" Lexi sighed with a giggle.

"Well... at least she has Roxie to keep her company" Leah teased

"That ... doesn't exactly make me feel better..." Lexi chuckled nervously, "nor does the fact that one of Max's portal thingies is technically still online"

"Awww cmon... hero talk, really?" Leah sighed

"S-Sorry ... Sorry... was just thinking about it since I'm going to the forest at some point this week to oversee the dismantling... the Mini Troop are having some of their best engineers ... and Josh ... take a look at it and see what can be salvaged " Lexi said, "honestly I'd be fine if they just burned the thing to ash..."

"So you're just ... there to stand guard or whatever?" Leah asked

"Basically ... although I guess some of the Fensterians will be there too?" Lexi squeaked with a yawn that signified her falling energy levels, "...it's too bad about Esmerelda..."

"Yeah, you said she went missing?" Leah asked

"After the whole invasion thing, nobody could find her..." Lexi said, "everybody is fearing the worst... Dani has a theory she might've ended up in another dimension but nobody knows for sure ... it's ... bad to say the least..."

"Who's running the fairy colony in the meantime...?" Leah asked in a tired voice. "Lex? Lexi?"

She looked over to see her best friend fast asleep, already taken by the Sandman. Leah shrugged and cuddled up with her cotton ball and glasses wipe.

"Goodnight lil goober..." Leah squeaked with a smile, allowing her eyes to close as well.
