Disappearance Investigations Retrieval Entity continued to monitor the known portals into the giant land. There were portals the size of earth doorways in Ireland and Australia, perhaps as well as others that had not yet been discovered by anyone and reported to D.I.R.E. There was also a giant sized portal, as large in fact as the doorway of a giantess’s house, located in the far reaches of a Brazilian Jungle.

D.I.R.E. had their original secret headquarters near Malibu Beach in the United States (introduced in book 5), which was mainly used for scientific research nowadays, in order to maintain the supply of advanced weaponery to be used against invading giantesses.

They had taken over a misused bunker in the Brazilian jungle, and used it to monitor any giantesses who came through the giant portal and approached the nearest town to the jungle.

There were also two complexes in Ireland, one in the meadow near Village #1, and one on the site of a former orphanage near Village #2.

D.I.R.E. had not located any suitable position to set up a complex in Australia, so they routinely despatched at least one agent to monitor the portal in West Lindfield, on Sydney’s North Shore. This one led to the gardens of the G.R.O.W.T.H. agency’s giant land offices. (You may have to look up what it stands for in book 4. This author didn’t get much sleep the night before typing this chapter). The agency had set up the Upsizing program, which enabled economically disillusioned earthlings to seek a better life by becoming giants and living in the ever expanding colony on the abundant unused land of the far less populated giant land.

23 year old D.I.R.E. agent Kerwin Iverson was the operator currently deployed to West Lindfield. He walked through the portal, past the office building and continued on to explore the colony.  After half a day of walking, he was found and captured by Moira Bradley, an upsized colonist who had come into the possession of an upsized time machine. A North Shore university science graduate had built a time machine and temporarily parked it in Moira’s garden one night, while he went into the city of Sydney for some night life. He was completely unaware of the Upsizing program, let alone the fact that she was about to be Upsized, along with her house and some of the contents of her garden. She was unaware that a young man and his time machine were squatting in her garden. So, unbeknownst to both of them, his time machine was teleported onto the sight of her new property in the giant land and upsized along with her house. “Now that I’m a giantess, eating young earth men has become an occasional hobby of mine. It’s good to see another one turn up in the colony after a bit of a dry spell,” she said, once she’d taken him home to her house.
