Also, SCOs are sometimes assigned to family members if the circumstances permit. I'll be sure to elaborate in future chapters. If the issue is that you think relatives might show too much mercy to their assigned shrinkee, remember that these women spent a year learning to be an SCO and that the Association is very thorough when reviewing such cases. But who knows, maybe Tom won't be assigned to a family member ;)

Can you explain the Reduction/Magnification system? Are women the only ones grown/men shrunk or can it be for both? Also why would people need to change sizes at office jobs? I could understand demolition or something but an office??? Am otherwise enjoying this story because the people in it aren't monsters like most of the other stories on this site...
A lot is open to interpretation about how the system is used and works but the technology allows it so that either can be shrunken or grown. It's just that current government policies in the universe have it so men are Reduced and women are Magnified more. I hope to expand more on this in the second story.
