Title: Chapter 10: Fetch
Seems like her powers def have limitations other than the sacrificing of one's own lifespan to increase another's. She can't just teleport anyone in front of her. She needs to see them or seems to need a conduit (like the Bermuda Triangle). Wonder if she could do a clairvoyance thing that makes a trail to him but simply sees this as "hide and seek".
Ngl I also think the whole cursing thing comes from the whole family I never had mindset too where she is essentially acting like a kid but acts much older with her peers at college.
Also, how old was she in that flashback?
Author's Response: I think the extent of Carley's powers will become more clear as the story progresses, but for now I will say that Carley not being able to locate Derrick is very strange to her. If she wanted to teleport anyone else to her location, there's no reason that she couldn't, so the fact that she seems to be unable to do so with Derrick is part of what is fueling her desire to finally locate him.
And in the short flashback, Carley was very much still a child, just one with reality bending abilities. So at that point she was acting childish because she was very much a child. In the present, she's not necessarily trying to act childish around her parents. But rather, she is putting on a show to amuse herself. She calls Jason 'daddy', even though both of them know that she doesn't respect him like a father and feels nothing but disdain for him. She acts more normal with Sarah and Amanda because she has, seemingly arbitrarily, chosen them to be her friends and treats them as such.
