Great chapter! I'm really glad we got that conversation between Kelly and that lesbian chick. It really cements the fact that although Kelly is kind of a giant bully, at least she's not flat-out evil like Casey is.

Author's Response:

Thanks! I'm glad you enjoyed it.

The whole purpose of the conversation between Kelly and Daphne was precisely the oe you mentioned: to show a little more about the way Kelly is living this entire thing. She loves being big and having so much power, and she will not hesitate on using her size for wathever she feels like doing, without caring too much about the consequences. As a matter of fact, she kind of enjoys them. But, at the same time, she is not an evil bitch that enjoys tormenting and hurting people just for the sake of it.

Of course, things won't be the same now that she has been attacked, though.

Thanks for the feedback!

Cheers!

Becomes quite strange - Ron debarred, other people safely make mistakes and then tell him - it's your fault go and solve problems. He agrees, and as he says "we" he took responsibility for the mistakes of others before themselves Lisa :) I do not understand just why?

Author's Response:

Well, Ron is not completely free of blame. For a long time he has been testing on Lisa, even if she was his friend. And he started testing on Kelly as well. It's true that he not intend to hurt them and that his motives to keep some secrets from them were understandable, but he is not completely innocent, once things start going wrong.

On the other hand, it's true that he is taking more responsibility than he probably should, but this is, in the end, driven by the fact that he really appreciates Lisa and, being the only person in the FSD that knows her, he feels somehow compelled to help her. Of course, she does not see it like that, at least initially...

Cheers!

Would not want to be in Ron's shoes on a bet.(BTW Ron Howard hahaha can't believe I just realized that) Seriously what can he say to calm Lisa? "Sorry we killed you on a hunch. Your husband and child are being detained because we need to have some leverage over you..."
Unless Ron is a fantastical liar, all his explanation will do is piss her off further. Kinda wish that one general or whatever was there so Ron could have a scapegoat and Lisa could squish him(I mere dream). Even though Ron is responsible for a lot of this, she needs to realize he has been a puppet in this whole mess. Great scene by the way, how on earth will Ron get Lisa on "their" side without giving her more fake promises?

The reveal of Casey did not disappoint. Using a greyhound bus as a dildo was great but the fact that people were inside and still alive after she finished was awesome. The descriptions were top shelf yet again bud. Only wish she'd have toyed with them a bit by turning the bus the opposite direction to force the tinies trapped inside to slide in her cum, making her even more horny. I do like the fact that since her growth at the prison her lust has been in over drive.
Now she will soon meet up with Kelly in the metropolis. Would honestly like to see them have some lesbian fun with the tinies in their area.(thats just me though)

Although I still think the train scene with Kelly was the best scene. This chapter is by far my favorite. So glad that Casey has made such an awesome entrance and that Lisa has grown. Can't wait to see what her conversation with Ron is like.

aaron
PS Kelly thinking of herself as a Greek goddess is hot.

Author's Response:

As always, thanks for the feedback :)

I don't think anyone would like to be on Ron's shoes at the moment. Lisa has all the reasons in the world to be incredibly pissed off. And when she learns more about what happened to her, her mood is not going to improve. Ron is lucky that it's Lisa and not Kelly (or, even much worse, Casey).

As for Casey, she had not had any "screen time" for some chapters, so she had to have a grand return. I'm glad that you liked the idea and how it was described. Casey is going to have much more protagonism in the story from now on, and what she just did is just a taste of what she's capable of. She's getting into the city now... And yes, her lust is unleashed.

I won't tell you too much about how she'll meet Kelly or what will happen then. Their relationship will be one of the main dynamics in the second half of this story.

Finally, Kelly just had some testimonial presence in this chapter. I wanted to have the three girls in this chapter, so I came up to the scene where she is picturing herself as a Greek goddess. I'm glad that you like the concept.

Also, I'm happy that you think this is the best chapter yet. Hopefully there will be some other chapter further on that you'll like even more. Let me tell you that there is a lot of action coming, and a few surprises too.

Thanks for taking the time to let me know what you think.

Cheers!

The news crew angle was genius. This allows you to provide an almost constant "tiny perspective" while moving the story along seamlessly.
The way Kelly discovered Marla and Stu's van was perfect(only wish you'd have described the footprint's size in more detail in correlation with the van). I also like how Kelly played on the reporter's ambition with that 'exclusive story' bit(almost like she subconsciously didn't give Marla a choice in the matter). The honking was a nice touch as well. And I'm still fascinated when Kelly just uses her normal voice it shakes the glass(very much enjoying your attention to detail throughout this story).
But my favorite part would have to be was when she gave her ground rules, absolutely loved them.
I feel bad for Ron seeing as he really liked her and now feels betrayed. Hope he gets the chance to confront her. Would also like to know what Lisa thinks of these new developments.

I was initially sad that Casey wasn't in this chapter but the news van was so unexpected and fit so beautifully that I don't need my Casey fix.

I like how Kelly makes it clear to not piss her off. I can only wonder what will happen when they do.

aaron
PS I know from the time they've grown till now has only been a few hours if that but what will happen at nighttime? Also, since they have enhanced strength(and breath) will we find out if anything else is extraordinary besides the obvious of course.

As always great chapter and I can't wait till next weekend.

Author's Response:

Thanks. I'm glad that you liked it. To be honest, this was a risky chapter. I've always loved the idea of a giantess using the media to get her message through, and I've toyed with it in some unfinished stories, but I was afraid that it could be too cheesy (as Kelly herslef will say in the next chapter ;)). I'm happy to see that it came out well enough.

Of course, Kelly was not going to let Marla and Stu decide what they wanted to do. It was a good thing for them that they decided to accept her "offer". She was eager to set the ground rules, so I'm happy you liked them :)

It's true that Ron feels betrayed and that it's easy to feel bad about him. I do, sometimes, as well. But let's not forget that while he is basically a decent guy and most of what has happened to him has been out of his control, he has not been completely honest either. We will learn more about him and what he feels in the coming chapters. And he will have an important role throughout the story.

Casey hasn't been there in the last few chapters, which were mostly about Kelly. But let me tell you that her trek to Hollner is almost done, so you should be expecting to see much more from her really soon. And with Casey will come chaos, of course. She is nothing like Kelly, as Hollner will unfortunately find out. I think that you will have more than enough of Casey as the story progresses. This chapter barely marked the story's equator.

Oh, and Kelly will get pissed off at the people. Very pissed off. You'll see how she reacts.

Cheers!

PS: I'm afraid that answering to your last questions would give too much away on what will happen and what will not. Right now only a few hours have gone on since the wome grew, but the story still needs to go ahead for a while. As for their enhancements: The women are clearly bigger (that one was obvious ;)) and much stronger than they should be. There will be at least one additional side effect popping up before the end of the story...

The full arsenal of mankind hasn't been unleashed yet.  Heavy artillery, missiles, bio/chemical weapons, nukes.  Does she believe that she's immune to these?  And after her little speech on TV, the government now knows her intentions and will be less hesitant to use them.

I hope we have a moment at some point where Ron can confront Kelly, and maybe get to the truth.  From the beginning, Ron has been as much a victim as anyone else.  He didn't give the growth serum to the girls, and he's been trying to live up to his earlier successes, which now appears just to have been an accidental discovery, with no understanding of the process.  And then the pressures that his bosses have placed on him to replicate that success.  It seemed his one moment with Kelly was probably the most joy he's gotten out of the whole experience.  And now, to him it appears that even that was tainted.  Always rooting for the underdog.

Author's Response:

You are right, she has been barely tested. Right now Kelly has let the power get into her head and is acting with too much arrogance. The successful confrontation with the police has been too easy and has built on top of the power rush she was already feeling.

It's not as if the government needed her speech to react to her. She will, of course, meet more and harder resistance as she goes. As for what will happen then... I'll let you find out when it comes :)

As for Ron and Kelly, I'm afraid that giving any details would be too much of a spoiler. We will learn quite more about Ron, in any case. Ron is decent guy and has been a victim of many things that were out of his control. But we cannot forget that he has not been completely true to the girls, especially Lisa. He had good reasons not to be, but in the eyes of Lisa or even Kelly, who believes that he was behind the attempt on her life, he doesn't look completely innocent...

You'll find out more about the different relationships in future chapters, in any case.

Thanks for the review and the feedback. Hope you'll enjoy what remains of the story.

Cheers!

Once again great writing on a literal giantess story on a site where shrinking is usually the dominant competent used here.

Keeping Kelly as a humane giantess, but a bully makes it much more interesting to see how far she'll go when someone challenges her or when she loses her temper.

Author's Response:

Thanks so much for the feedback! I'm glad that you like the writing style. I hope you will continue enjoying the story (there's quite a lot of it left, still).

Kelly is definitely the main character on Volume 2 and the funniest character to write about. She kind of stayed in the background in Volume 1, so I owed her a lot more attention share in this second part. In the end, both Casey and Lisa have ended up being quite stereotypical. Casey was quite bitchy on Volume 1 already, and everything that happened since then have made her much worse. Lisa is kind of her opposite. On the other hand, Kelly is somewhere in between: she likes being giant and she likes what her size allows her to do, but she is not a mindless psycho. I think this is what makes her more interesting, since her reactions in front of different situations are more unpredictable (even when I'm writing about her, the possibilities about her detailed actions are very varied and I end up surprising myself about the ideas that come to me).

Of course, Kelly is not alone in the world, so she will need to react in front of external situations. She will get challenged and she will lose her temper in different situations. I hope that you will find the results interesting enough once that comes.

Cheers!

Hahah did not see Kelly stopping the police with pee. That's hilarious but also very gross. Glad to see she showed them how powerful she is without killing anybody. Also glad she had the presence of mind to not walk into the pee. Only thing this chapter lacked was the point of view of the police because that would have been interesting.

Liked that Ron and this other jackass are discussing what may have caused this new growth. Wonder how far Ron will take this involving Lisa, will he actually hurt her to find a "cure"?

I'm hoping that what Kelly saw was Casey but I'll just have to wait and see.

aaron
PS I really liked the part where Kelly stomped her foot in front of the squad cars causing some to tip over but all the officers were knocked off their feet. Although I feel like she could have toyed with them a bit longer until her grand finale.

Author's Response:

The truth is I had mixed feelings about Kelly peeing on the cops when the idea first came to me. Without disclosing too much about what's coming, let me tell you that this chapter was not meant to portray the main confrontation between Kelly and authority. There is more of this later. But there were a couple of things that were needed: first, it was not realistic to have Kelly roam around the city for so long without anyone trying to do anything about it. And I also needed Kelly to become a little bit upset about the attitude of the little people and, especially, to become even more convinced of her utter superiority over them. This will be important to explain the evolution of her attitude in the coming chapters. So, I basically needed to have the police face Kelly and I needed her to clearly defeat them without resorting to mindless violence, since that would have turned her into a character I did not want her to be.

With this in mind, the idea about the pee kept coming back to me and at some point I decided that it was good enough to go. So, while I'm not too big on this type of things, I ended up using it as a good enough resource.

This also explains why I did not have Kelly toying more with the cops. She would probably have tried to; in the end, this is what she did when she stomped her foot. But after being fired on, they did not leave her too many options, did they? They made her mad and she had to react. And it would not have been realistic to have the cops sitting idle while Kelly played with them.

By the way, I completely agree with your comment. This chapter would have been better if I had added the point of view of one or two secondary characters in the police task force. I'm afraid I rushed too much through it when I wrote it. I understand that you and many other readers had the expectation that the chapter would depict a large scale confrotation between Kelly on the cops, but in my mind, this chapter was always meant to be a transition chapter to explain a little more on her evolution and to give some space to the scientists to explain more about the women's growth.

On the scientists side... keep in mind that the government is right now in crisis mode because they have two rogue giant women in a large metropolis. There is little they won't do to try to fix the situation.

Finally, regarding Kelly meeting Casey... you'll have to wait and see :P. I think you'll like it when it happens (I guess no one has any doubts it will happen).

Cheers!

The entire train scene from when she first discovered it to when she finally places Melinda down on the same rooftop as the train has thus far been my favorite from this story. How absolutely frightened Melinda was when she initially saw those window sized eyes(great description by the way) staring right at her then heard a voice that reverberated off the glass in the train car.. I could go on and on. That scene was done perfectly.
I really like her attitude in regards to knowing she has to display her power and show the tiny police who's the boss while maintaining her playful yet gentle disposition. I for one cannot wait to see how the cops react to their weapons having no effect on her.
I hope this isn't the last we've heard of Melinda, because I greatly enjoyed her demeanor. Her character was becoming more likeable as she was starting to except Kelly as this enormous giantess(liked how Melinda was offended by Kelly's taller joke and I honestly think Kelly was hoping she would've had some form of rebuttal).

aaron
PS I was rereading some of this story and the part where Ron says Lisa won't grow until she's done breastfeeding; I'm going to assume she won't be growing unless something like what happened to the others causes her to grow. Now since she's been breastfeeding or still is breastfeeding should that have anything to do with her possible growth? I'm thinking yes.

Anyways, spectacular chapter and I'll definitely be tuning in this weekend(hopefully it's out by then)

Author's Response:

As always, thanks!

With the feedback you've been giving so far, saying that the train scene is your favorite one yet is a lot. It was one of my favorite scenes to write, too, so I'm happy that you enjoyed it.

One of the main changes versus Volume 1 is that I tried to incorporate as many third person viewpoints as possible to try to improve the description of the scenes. The current chapters with Kelly are the ones where I could use this resource the most and it was a lot of fun to write them. I'm glad that you like them too.

As for what will happen... as usual, I'm not going to provide any teasers. I also got some comments on Melinda in the Giantess City forum, where this story is also posted. I did not expect that she would become such an interesting character. I'm afraid that, as Darlene before and as other characters that will show up during the rest of the story, the main role of Melinda in Volume 2 is to provide an additional viewpoint to the scene. In any case, I'm still thinking on what Volume 3 will be, and some of the ideas I have are around going back to some of the secondary characters in previous stories. Honestly, I still don't know if this will end up being just a crazy idea or if it can work (or even if there will be a Volume 3), but reactions from reviewers like you are always a source of inspiration.

Next chapter will develop the theory behind the women's growth (including Lisa's lack of growth) a little more. You'll get more details when I post it, but a possibility no one seems to have considered yeet is that Ron may be wrong in his analysis. After all, it would not be the first time, would it?

Please, keep the feedback coming. It's great to be able to understand, which such a detail, what people think of what I wrote.

Cheers!

Hoo-boy, I can see that Kelly really has let this power go to her head...I wonder? Will she feel guilt if someone dies because of her actions? So far, it's been all fun and teasing, nobody seems to have been killed by her yet.

It's obvious she's not afraid of shaking up or even hurting humans but killing them outright? Will her little display of power and authority cost police officers their lives who are only doing their jobs, leaving families without fathers and mothers to coming home? Theres no going back from that...

I hope she doesn't go that far. Great chapter though, I'm liking this story quite a bit!

Author's Response:

Kelly definitely enjoys her size, and the power it grants her. The power has definitely gone to her head.

Kelly's way of enjoying her power is through playing with the world around her and finding out just how much she can accomplish. She deosn't care too much if people gets upset or even hurt, but she is not a sadist that enjoys hurting others just for the pleasure of it (as Casey...).

Her main concern, as she heads for the police task force, is how to establish her position of authority without having to resort to mindless violence. But, of course, the actions of the little people around her will also influence the way she reacts...

I'm afraid that I need to stop here if I don't want to get into spoilers ;)

Anyway, I'm glad that you are enjoying the story. Hope that you will like the rest just as much. There's still quite a bit of it left.

Will what Ron said to Lisa hold true? About since she was still breastfeeding she won't grow.
I was wondering that if this was true than it may increase her growth. Maybe even double it. That would actually be the only way yo stop both Kelly and Casey. Cause even though Kelly isn't as destructive as Casey she still doesn't want to become tiny again and may fight to stay giant.
Looking forward to see what happens next.

Author's Response:

The theory behind why Lisa has or has not grown will be further explained in coming chapters ;)

And you are right: there's no way Kelly will accept being reduced again. She just loves her new status. It will become more evident in the coming few chapters.

Excellent chapter.
Like how they're tracking Casey like Godzilla, to be fair she pretty much is. I can also see what you meant by not showing too much Casey. Was I reading it right that not only has she leveled the prison but also some random gas station and a small town? Most likely without being provoked but just because she could. Her character fits very well in this story with Lisa being her nemesis. And then there's Kelly who seems to be having the time of her life.
Why wasn't Ron truthful with Lisa about how Casey and Kelly grew? I mean sure telling her that by killing them or at least attempting to has brought on their titanic size. But at this point what does he have to lose? Lisa has been taken against her will, her husband and child are being kept from her so Ron better start being more forthcoming with her because if she finds out on her own what happened she'll be even more upset.

Now I know Casey isn't thinking about this but what if she realizes that the only way for Lisa to grow was to kill her. Meaning will she try and prevent that from happening?
I also enjoyed the footage part where Ron sees Kelly and Casey for the first time. Would like to see a reaction from Kevin watching the news and seeing Casey as an even bigger giantess.

aaron
PS I especially liked how Kelly commanded that tiny guy to suck her nipple with a single word. But quickly realized he was way too tiny for that.
Again, I'm really enjoying the amount of detail you've put into this story, it really brings these characters to life. I hate to ask this but when do you think your next chapter will be?

Author's Response:

Thanks once more for the detailed and very encouraging feedback!

Casey is definitely a psycho-bitch, which coupled with her size means that she has the destruction potential of a natural disaster. You are right that she has leveled not only Blackrock but, essentially, everything she has found on her path, like the gas station and the small town. And you are liked in guessing that she was not provoked. In Volume 1, Casey was a bitch was she was still somehow under some moral standards. She is beyond that now. She has spent too much time surrounded by scum and has had too much time to think about how good life when she was big and how miserable it became later. So, now that she is big again (and actually, quite bigger), Casey will enjoy her size without inhibitions, and in her mind, this includes plenty of death and destruction. It's not that she will no longer avoid it, but she will actually seek it as a way of reinforcing her new status.

Kelly, on the other hand, loves being giant and will do anything it takes to stay her size, but to her, being a giant is a way to have the ultimate power and the ultimate experience. And, while she is not especially careful with some of the consequences of her actions, she does not enjoy causing pain just for the sake of it.

As for Ron and Lisa... well, right now people at the FSD are completely freaked out. With Kelly and Casey giant again, they have miserably failed in their most basic objectives and need to handle a national security issue that they know will be blamed on her. While Ron does not want to be mean to Lisa, he does not have too much freedom of action, and he cannot just explain some things to her. Of course, this doesn't mean that what he is doing is right, and Lisa has all the reasons to be incredibly pissed off with him.

Hope you will continue enjoying the story.

Cheers!

PS: Next chapter should be up Saturday or Sunday. This week is a little busy, but I should be able to find some time over the weekend.

Since Casey sees herself as a goddess, will she have worshippers? I'd also like to see either Kelly or Casey ask/force some tinies to pamper their feet. I mean with all Casey's squishing of tiny people and just general debris their feet are gonna be quite dirty.(I would hope to see some toenail painting with regular house paint just so that they can feel pretty) I reread that visits chapter and I can't wait to see when Casey finds Kevin. For what its worth, I'd also like to see Kelly find love at this size.

Like i said before about Darlene, I just think that if her and Casey had some sort of prison relationship prior to her growth that it will definitely add some interesting interactions to this story and maybe even calm Casey down...(yeah maybe not haha)

These are just some suggestions, if they don't fit with what you've got planned please don't feel obligated to add them in as that will only hinder the story if you write something that you don't truly care about.

aaron
See-ya(for real)

Author's Response:

Hi again... let me finish with the answers :)

- Casey sees herself as a goddess. In fact, Kelly feels like that, as well. But in the context of this story this just means that they consider themselves so powerful that they are really above anyone else, which basically entitle them to do as they please. They are not so interested in the mystical aspect of it, like being worshipped.

- I'm afraid that we will not see Darlene again in this story... she has already played her part as a secondary viewpoint

- And as for the rest... there's not too much more I can say without spoiling the story

Volume 2 is pretty much done. I re-read, review and edit the chapters before posting them, which is the reason I need a few days between chapters (depending on how busy I am at the time). But the story is pretty much closed. I think you'll find quite a lot more things that you'll like and that you'll also miss some others. Hopefully you'll continue enjoying the story, though.

This was another fantastic chapter.
I absolutely love how playful and kind Kelly is. I really liked when we could witness what was happening around her from the perspective of a few tinies. And the idea to have her react that way to some random guy taking a picture of her was genius, but to also have her pick up another tiny at random to photograph them both was even better. I just thought she would let him get some head shots, I never imagined that she would allow him to pose with her. I'm really enjoying reading about Kelly, her character was so dull in the other story but now she's very interesting. I can't wait to see what happens next with her.
As for the little scene with Lisa, I can't believe the government(or whoever they are) is treating her like this. I mean seriously why would she even want to help them or care to now? They just come to her house and kidnap(or is it nap) her, her husband and daughter. Are they doing this so they can control her? At any rate you wrote that well because now I hate those guys even more if that's possible.

I'll be honest, I was a little disappointed that Casey didn't have a bigger part but I was glad to see Darlene back(I'm hoping her and Casey had some kind of relationship before). If that's not the case I really enjoyed that scene from Darlene's perspective; about still feeling slight tremors, seeing the two feet deep depressions into the ground that are Casey's footprints and also how she's just in this zombie-like state wandering around. I liked how another inmate says "This is gonna be bad" at the end. Does that mean she can see Casey's facial expressions and assumes she is coming back or does she mean in general that this is bad for everyone? I only ask because I was a little confused if Casey already leveled Blackrock Prison or if she's just thought about it and a smirk formed on her face and she's in the process of turning around.

aaron
PS I'd like to see how Casey would react to some random guy taking a picture of her without her permission.
Again, great chapter and I can't wait to see what happens next.
Also if it means anything, I already like this volume more than the first one. You are doing a phenomenal job with the descriptions, reactions from people and the dialogue from everybody. I also love the pacing of this story too.

Author's Response:

Once more, thanks for the very positive feedback. The biggest (and almost the only) encouragement someone like me gets when he decides to post a story here is the feedback from those who read it. If the feedback is constructive and detailed, like yours, it's even better.

Let me try to provide some insights to your comments in this post and the next one. Hopefully I'll be able to provide some answers without any major spoilers:

- One of the main changes (and I believe improvements) I tried to incorporate into Volume 2 were other viewpoints. It was the tool I tried to use to try to convey the real scale of the protagonists. It's great to hear that you liked the results :)

- Kelly is and will continue to be very playful, but she is not a bitch like Casey. After Volume 1, I also felt that Kelly had been the character that had been treated less fairly. She was also the one that was kept more open and hence it allowed for higher development. So, in the end, Kelly has ended up being the one with the most "screen time" in Volume 2.

- I wrote the scene with the picture for an unfinished story a long time ago and I always liked the idea, so I did not hesitate to incorporate it in Side Effects when I had the chance

- The Government guys are not so nice, are they? You need to take into account that they are scared like hell about what's happening with Casey and Kelly...

- Casey has already leveled Blackrock in this chapter. The "This is gonna be bad" comment is more referred to the entire world, not so much to them. Darlene's character is only in this chapter as a second viewpoint to tell us a little bit about what happened and the effects of a big Casey in a small world... It was tempting to get into the details of Casey's actions in Blackrock, but I decided to postpone action with Casey a little. As everyone will have deduced by now, Casey, who used to be a bitch, will now be much worse. Of course, this means that she is also much more destructive. Getting into the details of Casey's actions too soon had the risk of making the story stall or become too repetitive, so I decided to just imply them. Who knows, I may write a short after I finish Volume 2 with some flashbacks of what Casey did after growing..

- If anyone had taken a picture of Casey I don't think there would much left of him...

- This story will be very long, so I'm glad you are liking the pacing and that you think it's already better than the first one. Thanks again.

Lisa said it best "fun and power... an intoxicating combination"

I absolutely love the details you've placed in to really bring the scale of these two ladies to life. Like when Lisa realizes that the buildings near her were crotch level or the guard towers with Casey were at or below her knee. Like both of these giantesses in their own way, Lisa's general playful attitude at wanting to truly enjoy her fun this time around and not waste this opportunity also like Casey's attitude of wanting to be son kind of giant queen or goddess. I kinda had a feeling that she would completely level the prison but I was hoping she'd find some prisoners and relieve some stress with them(would've been even better if she knew them). Really liked how you described the utter chaos in the courtyard that she was oblivious to and how she apologized only because she didn't want to squish them yet.(at least that's how i saw it) Can't wait till Casey gets her hands or fingers on her former boyfriend and fulfills the fantasy of hers that she revealed to Lisa.

Anyways spectacular chapter. Big fan of these characters and this story in general. As well as the details that bring this story to life. Remarkable job and looking forward to more.

Author's Response:

Wow, thanks for the very positive and very detailed feedback! It's both encouraging and also helpful to know what to do and what to avoid as I work in future stories.

One of the things I tried to improve in Volume 2 vs Volume 1 was precisely around the areas that you are mentioning. I wanted to convey the size and effects of the giant protagonists in a way that felt natural (avoiding too many mentions to exact heights), so I tried to use as many references as possible and also to introduce different viewpoints, including many from the people around them and that do not share their size.

About Casey and relieving stress... she will definitely feel the need to do that. While in the prison, she is too excited about being big again, but she will get used to the size soon enough, don't worry ;)

I really appreciate you taking the time to let me know what you think about the story and the way I wrote it (I would appreciate it even if you did not like it so much :P).

Cheers!

Awesome so far. Glad you started part 2! Interesting to see how characters have changed since the first. Love the story keep it up! I think this will be a great balance because I do love the giantess in the city story and character development as well!!

Author's Response:

I'm happy to see that you are enjoying it.

The purpose of leaving 6 years between the first and second parts was to allow enough room for the characters to evolved based on the events of part 1 but also on what happened to them after those events. I knew I wanted to do a "giantess in the city" story with the characters, but it did not seem natural to force that in the timeline of Part 1 (Kelly was still wavering and while Casey would have probably gone for it, I wanted to introduce enough reasons for her to be even bitchier than she was in Part 1).

I hope that I will be able to keep the right balanace between the giantess in the city story and still being able to make the difference in characters relevant. You'll tell me if I got it!

Cheers!

Awesome. Loved the idea of them growing after they died. Cool idea that I haven't seen before. Can't wait to see where you go from here. I'm really liking Kelly's character. So now her and Casey are twice as big as they previously were. Hope Casey holds true to her promise of shoving what's his name back up her snatch.

Author's Response:

Thanks a lot for the feedback. I'm glad you are liking it.

Regarding the idea of making them grow after they died (you will read some more about what Ron thinks about it in future chapters) is probably original but it is heavily inspired in stories where women grow (or keep growing) as a way to heal themselves. I would say that the one that is closer to the concept in this story would be Enhanced Volume 2, by element., but other stories like No Pain, No Gain from rustyrusty14 or even The Magnificent Maggie also touch on this subject.

Kelly will get much more screen time in Volume 2 than in Volume 1. I felt that she got too little time in the first part of the story, but in order to keep the story line into something that made sense (at least to me...), most of the action in Volume 1 had to come from the bitchy girl, which is why Casey was the star for many chapters. This will change in this second volume.

As for Casey (we will also see quite a lot of her, of course), having been tested and then having spent 6 years n prison surrounded by scum... well, this has not done anything to make her less bitchy.

Hope you'll enjoy the rest. Cheers!

I don't think there will be any holding back this time.  I can't say I'm a fan of Cassie's behavior from the first book, so I fear that in addition to her, you'll have Kelly joining in the bitchiness.  In addition they'll be out to kill Lisa, whom they blame for the recent bad years, and Ron, since he's the person that has a chance of making them small again.  As a nerd myself, I was happy to see that Kelly and him were starting something up.  So I'm a little worried that she's blaming him for the attempt on her life.  I just can't see how this can NOT go in a violent, evil direction (not my favorite genre).  I'm curious to see where you'll take this.

Author's Response:

Well, there will be considerably less holding back this time, you're right. In the end, the set up, with the events of the six years that go between both stories, is meant to provide some back story on how the girls character's and motivations have evolved that explains somewhat their future behavior.

A pretty large chunk of Side Effects Volume 2 is meant to be a "giantess in the city" scenario. Let me tell you that Kelly's character is still nothing like Casey's and that this is an important factor for the story.

I guess that, no matter what, this story is going to have many things that are far from your favorite genres, but, without adding any spoilers, let me tell you that not all of your fears will become true.

I'll be interested to see how do you like the rest of the story. Thanks for the feedback.

Cheers!
