I don't quite know how to respond to the rest of it, as I don't wish to take it one way if it's meant another way. Vat a twist!!
So Iris tricked him into becoming a slave then? I guess she wasn't as benovelent as he'd been led to believe. Also, we humans have done a decent job of abolishing straight up slavery in most parts of the world, sure there is slave wages, etc, but true slavery is mostly gone. And yet a highly advanced race like them somehow has it still? I'm actually wondering if this was pre planned in Iris's visit in the first place: to find a nice slave for herself.
Anyway, great twist, I'm eager to see how Shawn reacts to this next chapter...
