A prized mineral is discovered. When it's uses are discovered it becomes a staple of the modern society. Nearly everyone has it except the very poor or the sceptical. One of the people who doesn't take it is Jack. He becomes separated from his girlfriend who is now twice his height. He lives a life of misery until one day his whole life turns back around.
