I think you should add an extended ending where Brian's innocence is revealed then leads to revealing thousands of convict to be innocent mixed with the guilty and Cathy wails like a baby and gets shamed by public and gets suicidal thoughts of her being a sadist about killing men she didn't know were innocent. Brian and the girl tell her to not go through with it and the authorities promise to do better. If you don't want to do a second book then it's okay since I think you might have other ideas in your brilliant head or might be busier. However, do you what you feel might be right to you.

Thank you for observation. I'm not really sure how it's going to play out. I think an underlying premise of this and other stories that are set in this type of universe is that as Alphas become the dominant subset of the human population, laws are changing to benefit strictly them. And any complaint from Betas about how they are being treated falls on deaf ears, especially since the Beta population is getting smaller and smaller.
