What a great climax, holy cow.

This three-parter has been a hell of a ride from start to finish. You really did justice to both the serious nature of the Mayor's actions, and to Trish - and later Evie - stomping through Lilliputian Lakes.

I'll admit, it's taken me a while to get fully on board with redeeming Trish, but with these chapters I think you've pulled it off. Something about how a person's true nature comes out in a crisis, I guess. She's honestly a very fun character to read in this state. The snarky attitude she wields is really fun, while still being grounded in her character.

I was interested to see if / how she avoided punishment after confessing to Sofia - mostly because shrinking her would make Kamila sad :( - and the ending is a nice way of going about it. Emma has finally come around to at least begrudgingly accepting her, and I can only guess she and Mateo will lie about the bathroom incident in light of her recent actions.

Speaking of Emma, the moment Tricia went over to the tower I was crossing my fingers hoping "ooh I hope Tricia has to catch her in her mouth" and lo and behold it happened. I bow to you.

Some great vore payoffs in these chapters, too. I've been eagerly waiting for more and you didn't disappoint. The scene where Emma is riling Mateo up by probing for info about the guy Tricia ate was great lol. Though Emma's thoughts do make me wonder if Mateo will ever get to experience his desires to the fullest. We can only hope.

The scenes with Evie and Sofia were great too. Their struggle with Johnson was properly tense, and I honestly didn't know where it'd end up. Sofia dragging him into the chamber to take advantage of her immunity was another really cool payoff for that whole plot point.

Felicia was a delight these chapters too. I've been liking her more and more since she was introduced, and this chapter was a lot of fun with her around. I love the fascination she's grown for humans, and her interactions with Evie were great. Her whispering devilish things into Evie's ear and later vanishing into Jack's pants cracked me up.

Really wonderfully done, as usual. I'm eager to see how everything wraps up!

Whew, after reading your reply to JerkyLover777, I was glad to see there is another chapter on the way. I was worried that you had ended it. Looks the next one is indeed the end though. Oh, well. Thanks for the ride!

A good word for this chapter is cathartic. Mateo gave Tricia real closure with her breaking up with him and pushed her to move past her desire to be punished, his mom owned up to what she did to him and he was glad to make true peace with her, Beth got her reunion with her parents, Emma and Tricia have come to some sort of an understanding, and the mayor is finally facing what he has coming to him...which i'm hoping we get to see what's in store for him when he does inevitably end up unregistered and unprotected...

Speaking of the unregistered, I did like Evie's slip here about unregistered downsizers. She didn't mean anything by it, but Kamila and Sofia were right to instantly push back, and it really shows she's not perfect. While I hope Tricia ends up staying human, it is good that her past actions are not just being brushed past. She did kill 3 innocent people, and under a lot of other circumstances would be downsized and executed promptly. I'm hoping that seeing her reform, as well as the real exploitation that happened to unregistered downsizers through loopholes and bureaucracy being too hard to ignore in this instance, will lead to some form of change in the DPS. It's also nice that Tricia's fate is in the hands of unregistered downsizers, because they're really the ones Tricia needs to make peace with the most.

And I really just love that you don't shy away from the humans brutalizing and eliminating downsizers who really have it coming. Between Tom and Johnson being so callously swallowed whole, with Tricia and Evie cracking jokes about it, to Evie instantly making a man plummet to his death for trying to pull a gun on Mateo (though it did seem like he was actually going to kill Mateo so very justified) The point where Mateo was indulging in his vore fetish with Emma getting it described for him was wonderful.

Was a really fantastic 3 parter! Looking forward to what comes next!

Author's Response:

I'm glad you pointed out the closure between Tricia and Mateo. That really had to happen between them, and I'm so happy to hear Tricia saying it first. And yeah, all the arcs are coming to some sort of conclusion. Beth, Trish, Emma, the Mayor, etc.

Yup, Evie is not perfect with her little comment about unregistered. But I think she'll make things right with the next chapter.

I'm curious how many people think Tricia will remain human or if she'll be downsized as punishment. It can go either way right now, huh? And yeah, for the three downsizers she murdered—that's not going away. She'll have to answer to that one way or another. And wow, you're hitting the points I didn't say out loud. Everything from Evie's comments, the loopholes and bureaucracy, the unregistered not getting justice, and Tricia needing peace for her crimes. Yup, that's what the next chapter is for! I hope to answer all of this next.

Haha, the downsizer deaths in this chapter were justified, huh? I don't feel bad about them. They had their chance to do the right thing, and they never did.

Thank you for your comment and continued support! I really need to get off my butt and write the last chapter next!
