Great chapter, the day dream sequence was *chefs kiss*. Looking forward to something similar happening, but it not being a day dream. Great set up for future shenanigans at home with the drunk party, can't wait to see where that leads. Oblivious and unaware are fun genres, most times.

Hey! Been looking forward to seeing this story get updated, but also glad that you're taking care of yourself first and foremost, hope you're doing okay and that things are well.
As for the chapter itself...I don't want to dwell on Natalie too much, I agree you and I are probably on a similar wavelength with her, and just like in Downsizing with Sofia, I am rooting for a redemption arc with her getting a reality check, but more than anything I just need Natalie knocked down a peg or two with Ryan taking control of his own life away from her, whether that involves her being in his life at all or not. Looking forward to the hammer dropping there if/when it comes. That small bit of levity they shared near the beginning of the chapter was nice though, before she went back to her bullshit. I am worried about Ryan leaving those disgusting chores of leaving her hairbrush and make-up sponges uncleaned...feel like nothing good can come from that.
Brooke and Ryan's relationship got some much needed texture this chapter though, and I like that Brooke threw it in his face that he was a lot more mellow and free wheeling with Amanda when she was Brooke's age, and let them do stupid stuff. While Ryan himself is a bit older, a bit wiser, and whole hell of a lot smaller now, it makes his attitude towards her a lot more reserved, responsible, and less fun. I liked seeing Ryan confront that little bit about how he treats his sisters differently, and just honestly probably is closer to Amanda. I also liked Ryan's sobering moment where he let Brooke in a little on how frustrated he is that he can't protect her or stand up to his mother, and her trying in her own way to cheer him up, and wanting to include him in the drinking at the end, as much of a mistake as that more than likely is. Wonder where the hell he'll even wake up...
Brooke also intervening when her friends were taking it a couple of steps too far was nice, though I think she could have gotten involved earlier, but the thing that I enjoyed the most was the juxtaposition of Jess saying all the cruel, nasty shit she'd do to her stepdad if he ever reduced, which I can assume comes from him not being great, to her both protecting Ryan from Carli who was definitely taking it too far, and checking in to see how he was doing, because she genuinely likes Ryan, and he stood up for her in the past. Always like seeing karma come back to help or harm the shrunken tiny, and to Ryan's credit, karma has mostly been coming back to help him in this regard.
Always looking forward to this story, and kudos on another fantastic chapter! Hope you keep well and patiently but eagerly awaiting the next installment!

Natalie is certainly a dark cloud that looms over the story right now. I can't say for certain if/when she's going to get her just deserts, but you can count on the fact that I'm hoping just as much as you are that the story will eventually trend in that direction. And I'm glad that you mentioned that little bit of human interaction that they shared. I think it makes a villain that much more despicable when you get little glimpses of them being regular people. We'll have to see how Ryan handles his assigned chores, because if he doesn't, I can be pretty certain that there will be hell to pay with the matron of the house.
As for Brooke and friends, I’m really enjoying exploring the different dynamics that they each have with Ryan. The sibling dynamic between Ryan and Brook is interesting. I can understand the younger sibling viewpoint of being excluded and that leading into Brooke having a bit of a chip on her shoulder when it comes to her brother, but I also think it leaves a vacuum where she really wants to collect on the time that she never got growing up.
And with her friends, I wanted to have a couple of different stages in the relationship growth chart represented. First we’ve got Jess, the best friend who’s known him the longest. She’s the closest one to actually being friends with Ryan, but in reality that relationship is viewed through the lens of his relationship with Brooke. So while Jess is nice, she’s still inclined to fuck with him a bit. Then Carli is next, since she’s also a longtime friend, but instead of spending constant weekends, summers, family trips, etc with the Millers, she would be there in larger groups; birthday parties, team sleepovers, crap like that. So Ryan definitely knows her a bit, but it's more like a “friend of a friend” vibe. Then there’s the two teammates, Liz and Mary. The most recent additions to the crew, they likely know Ryan very little. He might be aware of them just from hearing them in Brooke’s stories, but he was probably gone to college by the time that they first ever stepped foot in the Miller house. So while they might be Brooke’s friends, to them, Ryan is really just some tiny. Which makes them the sort of de facto threat for the tiny man.
So I’m glad that you enjoyed the chapter and definitely stay tuned for the next chapter because I think its gonna be a really fun one. Thanks for reading!!

Another great chapter. Even if it was a dream funny how he couldn't resist just imagining Natalie's ass in just her small powder blue thong. Something tells me this won't be the last interaction he has with that thong ;)
