There was one sentence that I think was meant to read "The difference in size and power dynamics makes inherently impossible..."

Otherwise, you cooked up a lot of food for thought with this chapter.  Well done!

Author's Response:

Autocorrect is very optimistic lol, good catch!

Had to take a short break from reading but I am back now and the story does not disappoint!

I can't wait to see what happens further!

The thing that a human (sorry I am bad with remembering names) can be treated evenly with a demi-goddess because of her contribution shows the flaws in this logic and ideology of xian's undesputable superiority. It's a great touch.

I am very curious about what will happen with Erren and Jisoo, and what the mysterious 'Project Amaterasu' involves.

I just love Grace so much, though. She is just such a cool character. I wonder what her actions are gonna be later.

Ren is an interesting figure too, and I hope that Maddie stays alive.

Crazy how well this characters are shaped. I get do emotional about them.

Also curious about Jisoo's new powers!

Author's Response:

Grace has always been my favorite character, which is why I've sort of confirmed that she will be getting her own prequel spin-off at some point in the future! It involves the 'nasty business' she dealt with in London and also explains some of her motivations and perspectives seen in Deliverance.

@Kardo What a coincidence, I was just reading Act of Gods again the other day, and wondering if you’d ever continue that story.  One of my favorites on this site for sure.  That initial chapter detailing the land of Kyojin and the arrival of the Empress is one I find myself coming back to time and time again. Such a unique concept that I’d love to see fleshed out more

I’d  imagine others would enjoy a continuation as well. Personally meant to give a review for that story when it first came out, but it ended up getting lost in the shuffle, and I couldn’t find it again until stumbling upon it after reading Deliverance recently. Maybe now is the time to bring it back

Author's Response: I may at some point return to the world of Act of Gods, since there is an entire continent to conquer and lots of fun shenanigans the ladies from that universe can get into. For now though it's a bit lower on the priority list since Deliverance is nearly finished and I've delved into some other works on the side. Ultimately writers block would be the real deciding factor lol

Wow, just when I thought things were over, The drama and suspense continues! Can’t wait to find out what happens next!

Before, you mentioned where you got your inspiration for the story, but wondering who inspires you  when it comes to size focused stuff? Nearly every  section describing the giantess(es) and/or the sheer sense of scale  is wonderfully written

Author's Response:

For sure it's authors that write a lot of giga content!

I would say the biggest inspirations for the descriptions of size were the authors NSFW_alt1234, Inwiththebooks, Rattlehead, and VivettaVenray. The very first story I ever read that made me want to write my own works was 'Adrift' by Inwiththebooks. 'Phoebe: Legacy of the Titanomachy' by VivettaVenray and 'Diane' by Rattlehead were very big inspirations to begin writing giga specific content, which is generally the size that I love to write the most because of the descriptions it opens up. Giga stories were always my biggest sources of inspiration for size!

My first story 'Act of Gods', a giga story, was met with pretty lukewarm reception though when it first came out (three chapters and only one review and it wasn't until Deliverance when it got more reads as people went through my account I think) so I never released the like thirty or forty other pages worth of content. Originally Act of Gods was supposed to be way longer, since I love writing giga content but after Deliverance got more popular I focused on it instead.

Hey just found this story yesterday read all 60 chapters you my friend have made your mark on this website it’s so hard to find stories like these that tell a compelling story and also has a good mix of the fetish In it as well I hope you have plans in the future to create more stories like this and by the way are you of Asian descent yourself

Author's Response: Hey thanks for reviewing! I'm not sure if I'll be immediately following Deliverance up with another equally long and intensive story but in the future anything is possible! And I am of very mixed ancestry, I cannot claim to be of any one ethnic descent

I almost hate to say it, but...

It would seem Jisoo has a "little" more planning to do.  ;-)

Author's Response:

She's got *big* aspirations for sure

@Kardo I definitely knew there was some sort of anime inspiration in the story, but very interesting to see where it all came from. Thanks for elaborating!

As for Omega, I’d say Consequences is closest to Deliverance.  Would be cool to hear your thoughts on that one if you ever get around to reading it… As I said before, lots of striking similarities to this story

Author's Response: I can't wait to check it out if that's the case, the Omegas series is probably the most consistently high-quality series on the website, and has been fleshed out very well!

Randomly decided to check out the story a few days ago, and now I’m hooked! Binged all 59 chapters and eagerly awaiting more!

however, I’ve had one burning question soon after I started reading. Was any of your story inspired by the Omega series from Ackbar and Jacksmith? The whole setup with normal people, specs and the Fang/Chen Dynasty/Amrita Corporation seems an awful lot like the alphas, betas and Omegas/Aegis from the Omega series.

Not calling anyone out for plagiarism, and it’s not like the two works don’t have their differences (Deliverance has way more worldbuilding/backstory,  and an almost anime-like quality in many spots… bothe great things), but from the thousand foot level (no pun intended), it feels like there’s a ton of similarities to Omega.

Author's Response:

Wow that’s a lot to get through in a few days, I’m flattered!

So I’ve actually not read all of the Omegas Series yet. I’ve read Inheritance, Homecoming, Tough Love and currently checking in on Animus but I can’t say I’m enough of an expert on the series to claim it as inspiration.

Deliverance actually does take a lot of inspiration from a popular Webtoon called “UnOrdinary”, with Jisoo being originally loosely based off the main character John from that series. Similarly the structure of Deliverance is strongly based off the storytelling of UnOrdinary which slowly reveals secrets and more information about the world over time. As for the mythology and magic involved in this final arc of the story, much of the inspiration to include that is taken from a game called Genshin Impact. Many characters are named after Genshin characters or places (partially because I needed a variety of Chinese names) such as Xiangling, Lihua, Xiao, and Keqing. Other characters names are taken from anime as well and lots of anime have been my inspiration too, such as Eren from Attack on Titan, Satsuki from Kill la Kill etc.

I don’t think I’ve come close to reaching the incredibly quality of that series, so I do take it as a compliment to see people comparing them favorably! Thank you so much for the feedback!

Simply magnificent! All the reveal chapters are great, and I loved Grace's power demonstration prior as well.

This is extremely intersting. It's not even a story anymore; it's a book! There are multiple side plots, and a lot of characters with very deep characterisation. The world is well created, and everything falls into place.

I especially love Tae 'being a monster'! So hot...

And that fox mask is such a great touch, it was extremely hot when she lifted it up slightly, showing only her lips, and swallowed her catch after the car crush!

I am really getting into this story!

It creates this strange feeling: a mix of nostalgy, sadness maby, excitement as well...

This is not always a pleasant feeling, but only best stories or books cause it!

It's very impressive that you are sticking with it, it's also motivating me to try and create my own longer and more complex story! Stay strong! :)

And I really hope you are keeping an archive of this haha

Author's Response:

I loved this arc of the story, especially once Tae got a hold of the kitsune mask since it became a kind of alter-ego! I am almost at the finish line for this one and can't wait to share the conclusion with everybody, I appreciate you following for so long!

Oh, crap!  And if Jisoo does that, it permanently destroys the barrier between mundanity and magic? With eternal sovereignty going to the Shintoist pantheon?   Whoa!

Author's Response:

Yuuup! To explain exactly what is happening a bit more clearly, Jisoo using her magic is damaging the barrier between the mundane world humans have built and the world of spirits. A big inspiration for this was the idea of yin and yang; balance between two extremes.

And if Jisoo did something as world-changing as shrinking the entire population, it would shatter the barrier altogether and return magic to the world as it once was.

Oh, wow. The end of this chapter is somewhat complicated. How do you undo so many years of hate? Both on one side and the other, without affecting the free will of the human race. It is so ingrained that as Jisoo supposes there is no solution that works in the short or long term. One solution might be to make all of humanity the same size. I think that although many do not like it, we must consider that they could no longer kill the motes as was done in the past in which even more than 40 elderly and children were killed and nothing happened. It wouldn't be nice but honestly the humanity of this story deserves it, even if it was influenced by the Corp Amrita.

Author's Response:

It's a hard choice for Jisoo to make, especially since she feels so responsible for causing all of this (technically she DID in her past life) and wants to fix her mistake. But since she refuses to either alter peoples minds to make them 'better' or rule as a god it means her choices are pretty limited. Especially since she wants to live an otherwise normal life.

We'll see what she chooses to do!

A wise decision, Pres. Bauchmann.   A wise man once said:  "True strength lies not in ease of killing.  It lies with knowing when NOT to kill!"

Author's Response:

I'm sure a cool alternate ending would be the decision to outright try and fight her lmao.

I think I underestimated Jisoo's power level given what she's doing in this chapter.  Also, while this is climactic, it also feels anti-climactic given that the plot has been essentially resolved.  Part of me was hoping the Amrita Corporation would execute Operation Deliverance early and while Jisoo would defeat her family, it would be a pyrrhic victory as the mass shrinking causes more damage than even the Amrita Corp. anticipated and they get wrecked by Jisoo and everyone has to try to salvage what they can.  But that's just my fondness for twists and bittersweet endings.

I was not expecting Jisoo to go full giant like she did here but it certainly does work since it can't be covered up.  Her newfound power is way greater than I expected but given the title of the chapter I suppose it says something about her ancestry.  There will be plenty for Jisoo and her sister to do even after this and some tearful reunions I hope.  And Satsuki, you little schemer.  That smells like a sequel with what she's cooking up.

Author's Response: That would be a great ending too in my personal opinion! There's still one more big 'thing' remaining in the story that has to do with Satsuki which I've had building up in some of her scenes before now, and the next few chapters focus on both how Jisoo doing all of this unknowingly works in Satsuki's favor. We've got a few more twists before this one is over but the finale is within sight for Deliverance, as crazy as it is to say.

"Plots within plans," eh?

Satsuki, you vixen!  What are you up to, now?

Author's Response:

Satsuki has been the most sus person this entire story and now that the main antagonist of the past arc is dethroned, it's time to see what she's been cooking up since she was introduced! This is a very different part of the plot which really does change the narrative focus and has a lot to do with the history of the Fang Sisters, how they got all their power, and of course, how accurate your theories were about the Japanese/Chinese internal schism within the Amrita Corporation.

I remember an old sci-fi story about a computer that went renegade after developing artificial sentience.  And a certain much-older saying (erroneously paraphrased by the computer, early on) would seem to be highly appropriate, here.

"Proudness precedes a precipitous plunge."

Author's Response:

"Prides comes before the fall."

Grace had this coming for a veeery long time. Kinda surreal though to see this once seemingly invincible woman be reduced to the very thing she's preyed on since her introduction. In her eyes, and even to her supposed family, she'd now be seen as even less than human. The very same humans they've mocked for so long.

Grace was given a punishment far worse than being killed, she was humbled. A false got cast down. What a wonderful wake-up call, not just for her but for the rest of the corporation. Oh, they'll be shaking in their boots now.

A wonderfully cathartic chapter.

Author's Response:

We will definitely get to Grace's mental state a bit later, after a few more events cement her new place in the social hierarchy that she considered herself the apex of! As Jisoo stated this is a fate worse than death for Grace, since to her power is everything and she considers it worse to be 'broken' rather than dead. Hence her earlier actions in the story where she was obsessed with proving she could 'break' people like Thomas and Alice.

And she's had this one coming pretty much since her introduction I think! It'll be exciting to get back to how her arc concludes in a few chapters.

We're not dealing with the average Fang warrior anymore. That's right, Jisoo has risen beyond the limits of the Fang bloodline, and into the realm of legend. The legend that Amita fears. The legend, known throughout the entire world, as the most powerful warrior to ever exist. She, Jisoo, has become the legendary Super Fang ... blah blah blah blah blah you get it. Then she slays the Jabbawocky and saves Narnia.

But enough about me, I'm just jealous of her Super Fang Swagger.

The scene where Eren is ... uh ... appreciating Jisoo's muscly form looming over the landscape (paying special attention to the thighs, abs and tracts of land), while he's a speck of sand to her, uh ... activates the neurons. Just for that, I'm punching in another five stars.

Author's Response:

It's fitting too because Jisoo's eyes glow gold just like a super saiyan's hair lol. Back in early planning of the story I contemplated having her hair turn gold whenever she grows but changed my mind since it seemed too on the nose and corny. Still might have it change colors to white, but that's not too much of a priority atm.

And thank you very much! I'm happy Jisoo's newfound abilities have only increased her appeal.
