I'll admit, I'm a little confused as to Josh & Kelly's relationship at this point. On the one hand, there are some parts in which Josh's inner monologue refers to Kelly as "girlfriend" and them as a "couple", and the two exchange "I love you" when she leaves. On the other hand, they also speak of their friendship, Josh and Kelly both referring to her as Josh's "best friend" and Kelly refers to setting him up with Amanda as "helping a brother out" (which I find adorable).
I personally like that second option better, but I suppose I'll have to wait and see.
I love the idea that Josh & Kelly are platonic friends, but Josh being her tiny means that Kelly sees no problem with setting him up romantically with another woman and then immediately using him as a sex toy after she's done teasing him about his feelings for Amanda.
It makes me wonder if Kelly ever intends to give Josh to Amanda if they wind up as a couple again. Part of me hopes not, especially since Kelly said she doesn't want to get rid of Josh! I love the idea that Kelly would still keep Josh as her tiny pet, toy, and friend while still letting him have a girlfriend who is allowed to visit and maybe borrow him sometimes ;P
This has so much potential and I can't wait to see more!
I do hope we get a bit of clarification about how all this works either through you responding here or in the story itself. Thanks for your writing! :)

Thanks for the reviews. I’m glad at least one person is enjoying what I’m writing. As for your questions: as of chapter 3, I’m about 1/4 of the way through what I’m planning to write. I was thinking I’d keep fleshing out the characters as I go rather than in one big intro dump. Specifically, I’m planning to give more backstory in the next chapter that’ll give context to Kelly’s relationship with Josh.
Personally I enjoy stories that are slightly on the more realistic side. To me it makes sense that life with tiny people wouldn’t be so different from life now. I’ve never really understood the whole “there’s different sized people, so now women have become cannibalistic psychopaths.” I’m more interested in plausible relationships that just happen to have shrunken people. Also unless I can think of a novel idea for why shrunken people exist I’m not planning to address it at all. I’m not sure saying “there was a shrink flu” adds much to the story. I’m open to ideas though.
Ive never written anything before, I'm not expecting this story to be perfect. Hopefully it’ll be decent and I can look at it afterwards and try and figure out what to work on. Feedback like yours is very much appreciated!

Ok, what an amazing start to your first story!
This set-up is simply buzzing with potential, and makes me ask so many questions! That's not a bad thing, but good because stories like these thrive on the suggestive.
Nonetheless, I'm super curious and will ask my questions anyways:
- What is the nature of shrinking in this world? (It seems like a shrinking virus setting, but I could be wrong.)
- What is the status of tinies? Are they treated as people or objects/inhuman?
- What exactly is Josh's relationship to Kelly? (The fact that Kelly wants to get Amanda back together with him suggests they at least aren't romantic, maybe more of an owner & pet/toy arrangement?)
Whether you decide to answer my questions or simply leave it all a mystery is fine!
Regardless, the idea of a woman being in possession of her best friend's ex-boyfriend as a tiny pet (or roommate?) that she casually uses as a sex toy is incredibly erotic. The fact that she can go from casually talking to that same best friend about how she uses him, and then immediately pivot to excitedly planning on getting them back together romantically is also insanely hot! The seeming lack of any taboo around this suggests something about how tinies are viewed/treated in this world, but I could be wrong.
I can't wait to see where this goes! Keep up the great work!
