Sounds a lot like the old Stanley Williams stories.

Thank you. I decided I liked the name "TheShadow" better. I used the name Stanley Williams then. By the way bancroft was a friend of mine. He passed away in 2022 and his stories are still on this site. 

This story was under a different title in 2017.

This was a really great and snappy start to a story (mean that in a good way). I can't imagine, but can't wait to see where it goes. Great job on a first entry/chapter. Do you write anywhere else, or just starting out?
