I agree that, in most cases, the Bad People of the world result from nurture (or, lack thereof) rather than nature.
HOWEVER...
...most rules have exceptions. Case in point? The sadistic sociopath, and his equall bad wife, who kidnapped a young girl hitchhiker as their prisoner-cum-slave for seven years!
The husband came from a good home. His parents were ardent church-goers who didn't abuse alcohol, illegal drugs, or their own kids. Nor was this kid, in particular, ever abused physically or otherwise) by other relatives or family friends. Nor did he suffer any head injury or neurlogical disease that might alter the moral judgement center of his brain.
For lack of a better term, he was apparently JUST BORN BAD!
He and his wife were eventually arrested, tried, convicted, and imprisoned, of course. And, their captive freed. But, the poor girl was naturally never the same again.
