Really liking this arc! I was not expecting Brodda to get some action but wss happy to see it. Im really hoping to learn more about Morwen's weird heart and what would happen if Alexis takes Meghans potion or if Cyrene takes a second dose now that she got permanent powers from it. Keep up the good work!

Author's Response:

Thanks for the interest, we will learn a bit more about Morwen and what happened to her. Cyrene's size changing powers are permanent, not sure that a second dose would do anything. Alexis is a dragon and as is traditional is immune to most magic, luckily she's already very big!

This story is like an avalanche. It starts off, interesting, harmless enough, and then as it gets going it hits you ... like an avalanche.

We got more of Morwen, and she was as expected and more. Tough, knows her way around a matchlock (or is it a flintlock?), sweaty and grimy, with a sensitive core/crystal. There's a bit of insecurity that makes her adorable, and a fine addition for Alfred, whom shall be christened MORWENVS*MAXIMVS.

The romance between Alexis and Brodda was the highlight of the chapter, and made it an 11/10. You set that up perfectly, with Alexis mentioning her preferred traits in a men, and then Brodda with the punning foreshadowing (a real spitfire eh?). I was howling with laughter as you built up that romance like a bricklayer. Brodda was also laying something, but it wasn't bricks (wait a minute, I think I've seen that somewhere, with Goblins ... you aren't balbuddy, are you?).

Not sure about the nest-wives idea, but Alfred is a king who has anime protagonist powers. I'm .. suspecting something about the Lich, lest you were going to play it straight up, and have us a good 'ol romp. How you dealt with Alexis the dragon ... I'm anticipating something.

Author's Response:

Thank you for the kind words! As for Morwen she's very much a tomboy action girl type, her weapon of choice is a flintlock because this is a fantasy story and we don't need to concern ourselves with historical firearms development lol. She's certainly got a heart of... something. I'm not Baalbuddy but it's an easy pun to make on dragonslaying. As for the Lich, this final hurdle will be a more direct confrontation than Albert has dealt with so far, but like most of his problems brute force isn't the answer.
