1) I know. But, Jack Kirby (nee Jacob Kurtzenberg) was often affectionately referred to, by Stan Lee et al., as "King" Kirby.
2) I was well aware of the mythological aspect. But, I also know that the Australian desert lizard I was alluding to is sometimes also referred to as "the moloch" (emphasis on the lower case m). I could even send you a zoological clip from Youtube, if you like!

Well I didn't know of the Australian lizard until Encyclopedia Carycomica mentioned it. As for Molech, he was a false god myth, but people nonetheless followed it and actually sacrificed their own children in fires. Awful part of human history for sure.
