Woo hoo! Great to see this story back. I hope you are able to continue it.

It seems like a bad idea for all of them to go to Elgon. Who will govern the kingdom in their place or take over the rulership if they're all killed? They don't seem to be thinking this through but I look forward to seeing what happens.

Author's Response:

They are not thinking clearly, perhaps, but this is an unprecedented situation and no-one is sure how to act, Lord Henick is remaining behind to 'rule' in their place (I guess I could have mentioned it in the story, but I was kind of in a hurry when I wrote it! I might add a few explanations to the chapter at some time in the future).

Whoa! Shit just got real! Also, these are some pretty unconventional royals, going out to war themselves and all...And they are extremely overprotective, the giantesses would rather fight themselves than send their own soldiers. But then again when a single gianntess can slaughter an entire conventional army on her own it makes sense. But this time with other mini giants there, they actually face some stiff dangers. The citizens of Vandan must really love the royalty who is willing to put their own lives on the line instead of risking those of their citizens! Anyway great chapter, I love this story and hope for regular updates!

Author's Response:

Well, yes, the giantesses are the only ones who could realistically beat the ogres in combat. But if Valerie had been there, she would probably have sent in some human troops as well, to deal with the army while she dealt with the ogres. She would also have called up troops from the more distant cities in the kingdom, just in case more were needed, even though they might take some time to get there. Belena isn't Valerie, however, and she is not at all experienced with these kinds of situations. But she will learn in time.

Great it continues. :) When fighting giant ogres, speers and arrows with heavy poison can do the trick. Belena is making a mistake. 2 giants vs an army of ogres 3/4 their size.

Belena is wrong, she could fight an army of local ogres but not ones a hundred feet tall, more muscular than she is. She wouldn't last long and this will teach her that being queen means using all of the resources, not just sending yourself into battle because you don't want to risk casualties.

I sense Valdan and Lorek will be captured, Argo will be very keen to exact some vengence on Belena's husband.

Also, great to see you back!

Author's Response:

Yes, she still has a lot to learn about ruling and protecting a kingdom, which is why she believes that maybe she's not the right person for the job.
