Great chapter. And even though Sir George is an arrogant knight he still cares a great deal for Daffyd(great name btw) but I don't see how he could find his young squire unless Ivy's pet brings him up there too.
Whatever the case, I can't wait till you introduce Ivy's step mom.
Anyways, I'm really enjoying this tale and hope it goes on for awhile to flesh out these characters.

Thanks for the review and thumbs up on the name. I wanted something different from the norm. I am already drawing George closer and the step mom will be glimpsed shortly. More on what a Trouble maker alexa is as well.

So there's a stepsister and a stepmother. Daffyd better watch out.
I'm enjoying the world building with the war and the queen of the neighboring country. Eager to hear more.
I like the friendship developing between Daffyd and Ivy. Her teasing about making him a seasoning was pretty hot. (I think the last sentence of the chapter got cut off though.)

Thanks for the catch on the abbreviated last sentence not sure it happened but I was able to correct it. I think setting a vivid stage helps define the characters and provide context. Daffyd does not want to rub afoul of the other two women living in the house that's for sure

I think this story is getting interesting. This relationship might look weird for Sir George. Imagine watching your squire with a giantes.
Stepsister, hmm. I think these mean ladies might get Sir George.
Even though the giantesses have been introduced, it still feels like a setup.
I can't wait for the next chapter!

There is certainly some inspiration draw from that classic tale (only one step sister and no glass slipper...hmm, on second thought...nope I got other plans) hope the minor parallels doesn't drive you away from the story.
