True, true... And the fact that she's already led a successful professional life means that she still wishes to keep the respect that she had garnered previously alive in the present. John giving her and excellent opportunity to practice that notion too. ;)

I enjoy the psychological but I also enjoy the encounters. For instance there's a knock on the door but he can't reach the door knob. His Mother InLaw sees him for the first time. She knew he was small from talking to her daughter but when she actually sees him, she gets a smile or smirk that she can't hold back because he's smaller than she thought he would be. Knowing he's 2 feet tall and having him stand beneath you are two different things. Same with him looking up at her for the first time. It's hard not to feel like a child when you look up at her.

Well there should definately be a balance which means that they both get incorporated into the story at the appropriate times.. One without the other is kind of flat in my books. He, he.
But I see your point.. I like those aspects that you've pointed out too and they can not be overlooked. ;)

I don't see them delved into that often alas.. It's just Vore, Crush, Suck, and Fuck... All the time.. But what about the other 23.7 hours in the day?
That's where the psychology comes into play.. I hope other writers are paying attention too.. Not because I know better (becuase I don't!) but just because I for one would like to see it incorporated into stories more often because there is a mental aspect that I feel get's overlooked a bit too often.

The story premis is promising, but I feel you might have rushed things a little bit jumping from 5ft 11 to 3ft then to below two feet tall. I think that a little more exploration of the main character's interactions with his family as he gradually shrunk down would have really enriched the experience. However what you have witten is very well done, and I hope you continue to write this to its conclusion, and I am secretly hoping for the teen daughter to maybe use him for a sex toy, but I'm a weirdo, over all can't wait for the next update.

I'm going to be skipping around at various sizes as he recollects things that happened to him.. This is not a chronlogical story, making your lecture on character development invalid.

The story seems promising don't wrong me but I'm surprised that no one mentioned this: the author messed up about characters''s name: I can't differenciate who is who, who fight John over playstation, who's jesscia, etc...In one time Sarah is John's wife but in other time she's his daughter. Can someone help me with characterrs names & who's who please. Othher than that, it's a good story.

Haven't seen you in a while Crocodile. Great to see you are back to writing!
I love the Sarah/John dynamic. However, Laura is kinda annoying to me. Little kids trying to be bossy just makes me want to shake my head.
I love how Sarah is getting used to John's new height and treating him like a child. Especially when she picks him up at the end and carries him upstairs. Looks like we know who will be in control in bed.
I'm also interested in Karen and Sarah's mom. Maybe Sarah's mom is into John like her daughter. Could be fun.
I can't wait for the next chapter!

I don't know what made me start typing.. I honestly don't. But we'll see how far I can go with this.
Laura will probably be a constant source of problems for John so it's just part of the dynamic of their family.
I do plan on bringin much more adult content into this story hence the infusion of new charagers like his Step Mother and Sister.

Awesome set up. Loved where Laura towered over him. Having the babysitter be his sister in law and her Mother is fantastic. I am sure neither will respect his feelings. I am especially looking forward to the Mother. Will he answer her with Yes Ma'am?.
The Incredible Shrinking Man is my all time favorite. It really shows what happens when you slowly shrink. The more you shrink, you not only lose size but dignity and respect.
You have set the stage for what looks like a memorable update on the classic.
