A thought occured to me while reading about the effects of the alcohol he had drunk.  Alcohol can act as a catalyst, changing chemical compositions of drugs taken.  Like drinking alcohol and taking barbituates result in a new chemical compond rather than the two drugs simply emphasizing the effects of each other, a new (usually deadly) chemical is formed.

Perhaps the addition of alcohol to his body under the influence of both the "down" and "up" could immunize his body from any future exposure / consumption of the drugs.  With more "down" than "up" in his body, maybe he could shrink further while he sleeps.

If her were to become immune to the effects of the drugs, and only able to access the two drinks he left himself on the tray on the floor (which no longer have an effect on his size), then his wife could find the rest on the counter and sell them to restore her finances so she could focus on raising her daughter and taking care of her baby sized husband.  I would think the company that made the "down" and "up" drug would pay a handsom profit to her for returning it rather than let a rival company research the formula. 

Just some thoughts.  I really can't wait for the wife to find out and see how she treats him.

Only complaint, again, very long paragraphs make it harder to read.  Other than that, GREAT!

I never considered the effects of alcohol! That's an interesting point..

The rest of the drug, the wife's reaction, and some involvement with the company will eventually show up, there's plans for those for sure!

 

And thank you for the comment about paragraphs. The lack of dialogue makes it harder to break up, and I keep writing longer paragraphs in return. I will try to break them up even more in future chapters.
