“Alright! Let’s get this slumber party underway,” Futaba said cheerfully, walking through her bedroom door, leading in her friends, Makoto and Ann. They’d planned this sleepover for the whole week, thinking about having a nice night to themselves away from their usual everyday drama sounded amazing.

They all stepped in, their bare feet patting along on the floor (as it’s traditional to take your shoes off when entering a home). What they didn’t know, however, was that far below them, millions of eyes were watching them, and no there weren’t any hidden cameras. Entire cities full of people had woken up not long ago, finding themselves shrunken to a ridiculously small size, even the tallest buildings were less than half a millimeter. From above the girls couldn’t really see anything out of the ordinary, if anything the floor just looked dusty.

“Yeesh, Futaba, don’t you ever dust?” Ann asked, smiling playfully.

“Hey!” Futaba answered back, “you should be glad I even picked up the soda cans by my computer. It was way worse earlier.”

"Which reminds me.. before we start hanging out I should really check my social media feeds on my computer," Futaba said again, making her way to her computer desk. The others walked in and sat on her bed, Ann at the foot of the bed and Makoto fully at the head.

"But you checked your feed on the way here.." Ann said, remembering Futaba having her head buried in her phone as they walked.

"Yeah but that was like, 10 minutes ago! You know how fast things change online!? I'm also stalking the activity of some potential targets for the Phantoms, so it's not completely selfish," Futaba said, trying to rationalize it as she sat in her special computer chair.

"Not completely, I suppose.." Makoto mumbled quietly, not totally buying into the internet addict's reasons.

"Okay, fine. Just try to hurry so you don't spend all night on that thing," Ann said, giving in. It's not like they could convince her otherwise.

"Will do!"

Tae Takemi didn’t know what to do, so she just ran. The streets had been in complete chaos for what felt like hours. The once blue sky that was above them faded to white, onto to now be replaced by the dark underside of a desk, the sun was now gone and replaced with a bedroom light that was left on for the day, not very energy efficient I might add. Thousands piled out into the streets in a confused rabble of panic.

“What the hell is going on out there!?” Tae demanded to know as she tried to peek out the blinds of her clinic

Suddenly the ground beneath them began to shake. Once. Twice. Three times. An entire collection of earthquakes that none had ever felt before, each one getting louder and more powerful than the last.

At a point, though, the tremors grew too much. As Tae left her clinic, hobbling with her hand on the wall for balance, she saw a large ocean of people trying to get out of the way. A large chunk of a building had shaken loose, falling down and crashing into the neighboring building. The collective rubble of concrete and office furniture fell from the sky and Tae saw it land on a group of 15 people. Screams erupted as everyone tried to run away, getting away from the scene and any large buildings that began to crack. As some parted, Tae could see the mass of rubble on the ground. A woman’s manicured hand hung out of the mass, completely limp as a pool of blood began to seem from the cracks in the hovel.

Soon everyone was running, trying to get to the local parks and away from any tall buildings. Tae ran, shoving people out of her way as she went; men, women, even small children were pushed aside in the name of survival. Those who couldn’t run were huddled in fear as they were accidentally kicked and trampled over.

Voices were heard from far above as the earthquakes reached their peak, echoing off every wall and making them nearly impossible to make out. Tae looked behind her, trying to find the ominous source of the noise.

"W-what the hell??" Tae shouted, seeing the strange new sky for the first time. Even further back from the desk, the only other thing she saw was a pair of pale shins that moved with each step. Tae couldn't make them out, but they did look familiar…

"Fu… Futaba!?!?"

-

"Alright, alright. I'll try to be fast," Futaba said to her friends as she sat down in her very comfortable gaming chair, which cost her quite a pretty penny. Eagerly, Futaba cracked her knuckles before switching on her PC, a low hum being barely audible as it started.

As she scooted her chair under her desk, she had no idea of the destruction and death she was causing.

Her toes were taller than mountains that kept creeping forwards. Each tiny step taking out dozens of City blocks with each toe. Her toe-print would meet with the roofs of buildings and in less than a second be flattened into rubble, along with anyone inside.

Screams grew louder as they saw the pale towers creeping closer until finally, they were right above them. Futaba’s toes came crashing down, turning everyone beneath them into little bloody stains almost impossible to see with the human eye. Microscopic organs and severed limbs were stuck in the crevices of her skin, and whatever her toes didn’t destroy was easily flattened beneath the dusty ball of her foot. Hundreds of lives were crushed, snapped, and popped out of existence with each step, all while Futaba was just watching her computer boot up.

Tae continued to run through the city, her heart pounding. She ran through narrow alleyways filled with cloudy dust to help avoid the screaming crowds, making more distance towards the local park. By the time she made it, Futaba’s toes had stopped their progressive bombardment on the city, now standing a few blocks away, high and tall.

“Fu… FUTABAAAAAAA!” Tae screamed, trying to get the gigantic girl’s attention.

Of course, she wasn’t heard. None of them were as they all screamed and cried for some kind of savior, or to wake up from this terrible dream. But this was reality. And in reality, they were just tiny mites at the feet of a computer nerd now scrolling through her social media feed.

They were all helpless as she stretched and scrunched her bored little toes, showing off her recently done black toenails while grabbing all those who had survived between them and crushed them in their grasp. Only a few lucky ones would survive that, if you could even call them lucky. One woman found herself pinned in the street. Her lover she was running with crushed beneath Futaba’s second toe right next to her, along with her left arm. She cried loudly, feeling her arm flattened but not able to rip it from the crushed tendons. The next movement from the massive toe would smear her across the pavement.

Tea watched from the park with her heart gripped. She could hear that every time this girl moved her toes, more screams could be heard in the distance. More buildings would fall, and then they’d all stop as they came back down to the ground.

All this death… all this destruction… all of it caused just by one girl on her computer…

Wait… That’s it!

Tae took out her cell phone from her pocket and quickly checked it. Full bars! She had to get her attention and find out how the hell this all happened, or at least get her to move her damn feet before she killed them all!

Tae opened up her messaging app and quickly typed something out.

*Ping!*

Futaba looked down at the corner of her screen, surprised to be getting an instant message at his hour.

Tae Takemi, 11:32 PM : FUTABA! STOP!!!

Weird, she thought, why would Tae be messaging her now? And what was she supposed to stop doing? Oh well, she’d soon find out, she could see the little symbol that let her know that Tae was typing something. As she stared at it for a few seconds, waiting for the message to come through, Futaba noticed just how tired and stiff her body felt sitting down for those few minutes. She’d gotten more used to an active lifestyle these past few weeks, she could just internet surf like she used to. She needed to stretch.

Meanwhile, Tae was busy typing on her phone the message to Futaba, trying to go along the lines of “STOP THERE’S A BUNCH OF CITIES AT YOUR FEET” while trying to make it not sound like a morbid joke. She’d sometimes point out jokingly at the amount of insect life people killed every day just to make people uncomfortable, so this probably wasn’t outside her usual gallows humor.

While she was typing, however, she noticed the light above her quickly fade. Screams rose from around her once more as people began to run again. As she looked up to see what it was, her fingers froze. Futaba had lifted her foot again, and now the dusty heel of her foot was quickly sailing towards the small park.

“F-Futaba!! Stop!!” Tae screamed hopelessly as the doughy skin came closer and closer. She tried to run away with all the others, but that was still a pitiful attempt. Quickly, the heel descended from the sky, covering them all with a quiet THOOM as dust filled the surrounding streets.

For those just a few blocks further near the end of the desk, all they saw was the heel making contact with the ground, and the loud screaming from the horizon quickly fade out. Above them stretched the soft, and now dirty sole of this teenage computer-freak. She curled her toes and stretched them out again. Her black nails seemed to shine in the soft light, while from the bottom of her feet, building debris and some smashed body parts that were stuck to her feet now fell freely, landing on more buildings and people, though not causing the same amount of damage her pinkie toe alone could unfold.

If she looked at the bottom of her feet, Futaba would see some small clumps of “dust”, and very very tiny red spots all over her sole. One of those spots, however, now just a clump of smashed human organs near a lab coat and broken phone, where the splattered remains of her friend, Tae Takemi.

-

Futaba pushed her chair back from her computer, finally feeling complete in her online duties. She’d watched for Tae’s message never came, she just seemed to stop typing after only a few moments, the next second her status said she was offline.

She was probably out drinking, Futaba thought, or testing out one of her new medicines; it was always hard to tell what was going on with that woman.
Chapter 2 by Goddess_Lucy_tinycrusher
Sadayo Kawakami awoke in darkness, unsure of where she was or even when she fell asleep.

“H-Hello?” she said aloud, hoping someone would answer.

“Hello!?” someone else seemed to yell in the distance, their voice echoing softly in the darkness.

“Help!!” a young man yelled.

“Help!!!” a woman also yelled.

“Mommy!!!” a young child screamed.

Sadayo tried moving her limbs, wanting to go towards the voices but finding her arms and legs trapped in a soft and gooey substance. It was hard to move in this strange goo, feeling like she’d have to swim but it was much too thick.. It already coated her body, making her clothes feel heavy and clumping in her hair. The only good thing was that the air seemed to be filled with a sweet smell, though it was a little overbearing.

Before the school teacher could even begin paddling, the gel around her seemed to shake and sway. Some of the voices she heard turned to panicked yells as they were gently moving around in the darkness. There was a low grinding sound coming from above that only caused further panic.

Suddenly light flooded the room as the roof was lifted away, blinding everyone inside and causing even more screaming. Sadayo couldn’t see anything, the light stung her eyes too much. Light even bounced off whatever she was trapped in, making it even worse and taking her eyes even longer to adjust.

Before Sadayo could see properly, a massive darker mass came down from the new opening in the sky. It was huge, easily bigger than a few skyscrapers bundled together. It plunged into the goo, cutting into it with ease and stirring it around gently.

Sadayo tried to scream but was too late as she became mixed into the gooey lake. She tried to kick and swim to the surface, but it was hard to tell where that was in all the movement. The thickness of the goo made it even harder to move around.

Sadayo thought she was done for. About to die, tragically, drowned in this pool of… whatever this stuff was, in an unknown room. And she would have, if something hadn’t started pushing on her back. She coughed and sputtered as she was lifted to the surface, her entire body now covered in this muck, only her head and right arm seemed to be free, the rest of her body too stuck and exhausted to swim out. But the lifting didn’t stop there. Whatever had plunged into the goo seemed to be rising back out of the room, with Sadayo stuck to it, some muffled screaming were beginning to fade away as she was lifted further, though some others were stuck with her.

Sadayo grunted, her eyes stinging still from the light and the gel that seemed to splash into her eyes. But despite this, she fought through the pain to get her eyes open. She had to see just what the hell was going on.

“A… Ann?” Sadayo said, suddenly seeing the familiar face of one of her students.

“Hey now don’t be mean,” Ann said, her head turned to Futaba and away from the foot moisturizer on her fingers, “if you can go on your computer then I don’t see why I can’t take a minute and moisturize my feet. Besides, I have an important flip-flop shoot tomorrow at the mall, my feet need to look professional.”

“A-ANN! HELP!” Sadayo screamed to the face before her. Though her voice didn't quite make it to her ears. Though Ann seemed so close, it was strange to feel she was so far away.

Ann looked back at the moisturizer on her fingers, eyeing it carefully. She had no idea that her school teacher had woken up in her container of foot cream she brought, or that the itty bitty educator was now a speck on the glob on her fingers. She thought the many dots she saw were just part of the cream, and paid them no mind.

"Well, this should be enough for a second," Ann said, her voice seeming much louder to Sadayo than even her own screaming.

Sadayo kept screaming, almost begging for help from her student, waving at her as she tried to get her other arm out.

Her cries went unheard, except for a few other captive people struggling and screaming close next to her. Ann paid them no mind as she lowered her fingers to her exposed sole, already resting in front of her as she sat on Futaba’s bed.

All the people screamed in a high pitch as they were brought towards the gigantic, soft and smooth looking flesh. As they got closer, the clean looking surface soon became dusty and textured, covered in small lines that were hard to tell unless you got really close, and bits of dirt and dust that looked a lot like blood stains and building concrete, all fairly recent additions from Ann’s small walk from the door to the bed. She had no idea she’d already slaughtered a good few cities worth of people, flattening them all beneath her beautiful feet.

Sadayo screamed as her face was shoved right into the ball of Ann’s foot, a little cleaner than the surrounding areas. She could feel every thick line and bump beneath her as her body flattened, hair and all against the bottom of Ann’s sole, her gigantic finger pushing her deep and hard into the flesh.

Fortunately, or unfortunately depending on how you look at it, Sadayo survived the impact as Ann’s finger glided over her. The incredible softness of Ann’s sole and the cream acting as a buffer allowed the tiny teacher to slide and squish easily and not get crushed. Sadayo could hardly lift her head back up to breathe as her whole body was plastered to the soft sole. As she finally did get it free, coughing and sputtering as she frantically glanced around, she saw that not everyone was so ‘lucky’.

As the cream thinned out further down towards the heel, more and more people were forced harder up against the slightly rougher and now dryer skin. Several were flattened as they were spread out against her doughy heel, giving a small pop just before becoming small lines of blood, their organs squishing to goo and their bones crushing and folding over dozens of times.

One teenage girl was especially unlucky. As she was sliding along Ann’s sole beneath her finger, the cream was quickly thinning out, until her face and upper body were slowly and painfully scrapped down like chalk on a sidewalk. The only proof of her left was her lower body stuck a few meters along her trail of blood, having snapped free from her top at the spine.

As Ann began rubbing her sole more, going back over areas in little circles, more and more innocents met the same face, giving a small scream before getting ground out between her finger and her plush sole. Some were lucky enough to escape this horrible scraping death by getting angled up and onto the top or sides or her nails. Her nails were a beautiful bright blue that matched the sky in summer, even her toes matched. They’d be very cute, if they weren’t killing dozens of people that moment.

Sadayo screamed as loud as she could as Ann’s fingers swirled to her, trapping her in a glob of gel at the edge of her nail.

“A-Ann!! Stop this! P-Please!!!” Sadayo begged her student, though she was still just too small to hear.

“Huh.. that’s new,” Ann said quietly to herself, seeing the tiny red streaks form inside her moisturizer.

She thought for a second and reasoned that it was probably some kind of berry scented concentrate orbs, the kind that popped when you rub them in. She smiled, thinking about it, this was actually kinda fun.

Ann raised the finger with her teacher on it, and deliberately lowered it onto a small dot of a middle-aged man. He let out an inaudible yell before popping and smearing along the bottom of her sole, his remains getting dragged a few meters before the blood stopped.

“Hehe,” Ann giggle quietly. Popping things was fun. And she liked how the red mixed with the white cream, making a nice beautiful orange color like an evening sunset. Who knew something so gorey could make something so pleasant?

Ms. Sadayo couldn’t appreciate it though, with every movement of Ann’s finger she felt rushed around in every direction. If it wasn’t the motion making her sick, it was the screams she could faintly hear before the muffled popping sound beneath her, as countless lives were ground out beneath her.

After another minute or so of rubbing in little circles, Ann had finally covered her sole in that beautiful white-orange mixture. Now all that was left was between her toes.

Sadayo kept up her screaming and crying as she was brought closer to Ann’s beautifully pedicured toes, each one many many times larger than herself. Sadayo found herself getting shoved between the massive monoliths as Ann squeezed her finger between her big and second toe. The little teacher was scraped off onto Ann’s second toe, still alive but trapped in a glob of cream.

She continued her screaming and crying, even louder if that was possible as her throat felt scratchy with pain.

“ANN PLEASE! I-I’M A GOOD TEACHER JUST LET ME GO!!!” she screamed, all the while not understanding she was almost invisible to her sizable student.

Ann heard nothing as she casually rubbed between each of her toes, seeing small tiny dots getting stuck between her toes. Countless more were screaming and begging for her help. Some with already broken limbs and twisted off legs, their red juices already leaking onto and moisturizing Ann’s soft skin.

Ann smiled softly again, this next part was gonna be kinda fun. As she slid her finger out from between her pinkie and fourth toes, she still couldn’t hear any of the pathetic screaming and begging that just couldn’t find its way to her ears, only the click clacking of Futaba still on her computer.

“A-Ann! P-Please! I’m your teacher!! D-Don’t-”

*POP*

In a fraction of a second, Ann scrunched up her toes. It was probably her imagination, but she thought she could feel the dozens of tiny beads all popping in unison between each of her beautiful toes. She wiggled them gently, spreading the ‘juices’ very slightly.

Ann smiled once again to herself, the beads really did make it a little more fun to moisturize her feet. They’d look beautiful for her shoot tomorrow.

Now, onto the other foot.
Chapter 3 by Goddess_Lucy_tinycrusher
Makoto leaned back against a pillow at the head of Futaba’s bed. She felt bored. What could she do right now? Ann was busy rubbing her own feet down and Futaba was still scrolling through her computer. She didn’t bring much else to keep occupied while her friends were busy, just some pajamas they’d all left in the living room for when they were ready to sleep. And it wasn’t that she felt like she was being left out, she just felt useless doing nothing.

Makoto glanced over beside Futaba’s bed. The shelf next to it looked like it hadn’t been used in ages, covered in a thin layer of dust. She lifted a finger and ran it across the surface, making a fine line in the tiny particles before lifting her finger up to see all the collected dust.

Of course this wouldn’t be notable if it actually was dust. No. The white covered shelf was actually covered in hundreds and hundreds of concrete buildings, and for the past five minutes people had been screaming for the giant girl’s attention, her face looming far above them. Many had resorted to getting onto the roofs of the taller buildings and shouting as loud as they could, some even banging on metal to make a sharper sound. The screams for attention soon turned to screams for terror, though, as Makoto brought her massive finger up and onto a section of the city. It only got worse as her finger began to scrape along the ground, smashing into building and flattening anyone in its path into a fine paste against the rubble.

Some of those who were on the roofs panicked as Makoto’s finger came closer, some opting for the much easier way out of jumping off the buildings and dying much faster. A man had jumped off his local office building and hit the ground with a sickening crack. He wasn’t dead though, his hip was cracked and a few ribs severely broken, but having not landed on his head he was still in critical condition. As he coughed up some blood on the shelf’s surface, he looked over to where he saw the monstrous digit coming from. He could make out every line and crevice that made up Makoto’s fingerprint. He hacked up blood one last time before the finger overtook him, in a fraction of a second covering his body with soft flesh, before almost immediately becoming too much and flattening him with a muffled crunch.

Makoto brought her finger back up to her and looked at it inquisitively. All the clumps of smashed office buildings and stores reduced to rubble didn’t look that much different from thick dust. Though, as she squinted, she thought she could see some very very tiny little specks, all clumped together. A few survivors whose building was simply picked up rather than smashed.

Makoto sighed as she rubbed her fingers together, grinding the specks into further bloody dust. Seems this room had a noticeable infestation of dust mites or some other nearly microscopic invader. That’d explain all the dust everywhere, probably entire colonies everywhere.

“Um.. Futaba, do you have a dust cloth anywhere?” Makoto asked her friend.

“Yeah, should be by the door,” Futaba answered, not taking her eyes off her screen (or even blinking for that matter).

Makoto carefully got off the bed, not wanting to bump into Ann while she was busy. As she stepped onto the hard floor she had no idea that beneath the balls of her feet were dozens, if not hundreds of people who tried to get her attention, her sole flattening them with ease into tiny lumps of blood and guts.

As she walked, Makoto eyes the ground carefully, trying to step where she saw the biggest clusters of dust. She’d hoped to at least squish most of these annoying little pests before she got out the cloth, the bottom of her feet getting slightly covered in “dust” as countless building and people were squished like bugs. She showed and felt no remorse as she seemed to hobble around, stamping her feet lightly across the floor. Screams of panic echoed throughout the streets as their last sight was the annoyed girl’s face, right before her foot fell too close. Thousands of lives were snuffed out as she simply walked across the room and picked up the small white rag.

As Makoto walked by, stepping on the more major collections of buildings, she neglected the more clean and open areas where no buildings seemed to appear. Here there was still a large collection of people, though more spread out and without the danger of falling buildings. Among these lost and wandering people was a young woman with platinum hair, Sae Niijima. She walked around the barren landscape, her small heels clacking against the hard floor beneath her as she saw other concerned people wandering and trying to find their families and friends, unsure of where they all were.

As she kept walking, passing by an older man who kept shouting into the distance, the ground suddenly began to shake. Sae was shaken for a moment, forcing her onto one knee as she lost her balance.

Sae felt the tremor from behind her, but before she could look the ground shook again, this time even harder. When she finally managed to turn her head, in the distance all Sae could see was a massive foot, seemingly miles away from her. It was incredibly large, and looking very soft and the toe nails were painted a shade of purple that went well with the pale skin. The foot stood for a moment on a far away city; Sae could very faintly see buildings near it begin to fall and crumble, some screams even making it to her ears, there were so many of them. As her eyes trailed upward past the foot, past the shin and the knee, her gaze met with a very familiar looking skirt.

“M-Makoto!?” Sae said, having to take a step back from this shock. Somehow her little sister was now the biggest thing she’d ever seen! She must have been thousands, or even millions of feet tall! The idea of something, especially her sister being so massive…

But there was no time to think, as the tremors continued until Makoto made it to the room’s door. Each step sent out a shockwave of vibration all across Sae’s body, nearly making her sick. She watched her sister eye the ground carefully, almost looking annoyed as she dropped her foot on the major clusters of cities all around. Sae even flinched for a moment, and others around her screamed and ran as Makoto’s foot sailed directly over her and onto the nearest city, flattening hundreds of more with ease.

Finally, as Makoto stood by the door to grab the dusting cloth, Sae managed to regain some of her composure. All she had to do was get her attention. That would fix everything, right? Then she could find out how all this happened, and maybe save a few hundred or thousands of lives.

“Makoto!! Look down here!!” Sae yelled as loud as she could, seeing Makoto turn towards her, dusting cloth in hand.

Relief fell over Sae, as Makoto seemed to be looking right at her. She kept waving her arms frantically as her younger sister took a step forward, her sole landing relatively hard on the wooden floor as she crushed more buildings and people without noticing. Many had been trying to flee as the soft ball of her foot came down so suddenly. But this wasn’t the main concern for Sae, she just had to be noticed.

Sae’s relief soon turned to anxiety as Makoto got closer and closer, her footfalls getting louder and more powerful, until suddenly-

THOOM

THOOM

Sae found herself almost directly between Makoto’s bare feet. She looked panicked from one to the other, now seeing that her toes alone were taller than any building she’d ever heard of. The edges of her feet seemed covered in dust that Sae could actually see was broken up cement and rubble. And the blood… there was so many human-sized splatters of blood just at the edge of her big toe… It was a slaughter.

The sight was enough to nearly send Sae spiraling, but still she remained calm. All of this could be sorted out later. She looked up at her enormous goddess of a sister.

“M-MAKOTO! DOWN HERE!” Sae yelled, waving her arms as much as she could.

To her surprise, the monolith that was Makoto started to bend down, still looking at the patch where Sae was as she came to rest in a squatting position.

“Hmm…” Makoto mused, her tone sounding concentrated and her voice surrounding her now tiny older sister. “How pitiful. So many of you little parasites.. Making so much mess. Well, not to worry. I’ll be taking care of you all soon, erasing what damage you’ve caused to my friend’s room.”

“Um.. are you talking to my floor?” Futaba chimed in, looking over from her computer.

“Uh, n-no..” Makoto replied, flushing a little. She was just so bored, playing the defender of the floor just sounded cool in her head.

It worked on Sae, however. Did she really just call her pitiful? No, did she even see her???

“MAKOTO!!!” she screamed again, throwing her hands this way and that. But it did no good.

Makoto rocked forward on the balls of her feet until she fell on her knees with a big thud. The force of this was enough to knock Sae down considerably, making her fall forward onto her elbows as everything inside her shook.

Makoto lightly crawled forward, her knees now taking out dozens of fleeing innocence as she made her way to a larger city she could faintly see. By the time she got there, over two dozen people met their end at her kneecaps, not that she’d ever see the stains, however.

Sae, meanwhile, was now directly next to her giant sister’s toes. As she stood up again in a panic, she could look up and make out the underside of her sister’s heel, that being all she could see. It rose high like the tallest mountain in the world, with falling slopes that made up her wrinkled sole as she stood on her knees. Her heel was dusty, and even dirty in many small areas, but again Sae could point out what was dust and what was actually an office building recently ground to dust. Tiny red splotches still covered the underside of Makoto’s sole, each one a terrified life she’d squished out of existence. Sometimes, here and there, Sae could see an arm or a leg, or even an entire torso that managed to wedge itself inside one of the crevices on her sister’s sole, making the scene even more bloody and grotesque.

Sae seemed to be all alone for miles as she gazed in awe at her sister’s massive purple toenail, now only a short jog away from her. The toes seemed to easily move around as Makoto moved her body to dust the floor (meanwhile sweeping up hundreds of more lives).

“Makoto!” Sae said in a scream, trying to run as she saw the big toe inching closer and closer to her.

SKRRRRRRRRR

Makoto’s nail scratched easily against the floor, to Sae sounding louder than a chainsaw.

SKRRRRRRRR

“STOP!!!”

SKRRRCLSKDJFLK

And in an instant, Sae was gone.

Makoto had unknowingly been moving her toes as she swept, and soon, moved it over and flattened her “big” sister. As Sae tried to run, the toenail overtook her. It wasn’t a soft crushing death like the others. Sae was knocked to the ground by Makoto’s powerful toe, while the hard surface slowly covered her, first flattening her legs until they flattened to nothing, then to her torso where the hard purple nail squeezed her ribs and internal organs until blood launched out of the woman’s mouth, like smashing a hammer on a tube of toothpaste. Until finally the nail covered her whole, and dragged whatever was left of Sae’s remains across the floor like spreading butter on toast. Her bones, limbs and organs getting twisted and mangled until only a line was left on the floor, and a red-black blotch of blood stained the top side of Makoto’s purple nail.

“Makoto..” Futaba said awkwardly, standing up from her computer chair, “you know we have a dust broom for our floors, you don’t have to do it by hand.”
