There were only two possibilities: one you were dreaming, so you pinched your leg to find out you weren’t; or two Gloria came back from the dead.

Flashbacks were already playing through your mind; all the pain and suffering you went through came flooding back.  All the deaths and punishments you had to endure… you felt your life dying every second you stared at this monster you thought you killed.

“G-G-Gloria?”

The little girl tilted her head at you, “No my name is Marissa.”

You didn’t know what to say.  This girl looked just like Gloria if she were 7 years old.  She had the same features and her voice was undeniable similar.  You quickly looked back toward the playground that you were just at.  You saw your daughter going down the slide again and knew she was too far away to call for help.  You quickly glanced over where your wife was and found out she had a look of pure fear on her face.  She quickly started to look around the dog that was under the bench, she too was to too far away to help.  You were on your own; with this Gloria look alike things couldn’t get any worse.

Sarah felt all her blood drain from her face.  There under the bench laid a big German Shepard looking quite content, almost as if it just had a treat.  Quickly she ran over and bent over and started to look for Mike praying to God that he was hiding somewhere near.

“Sarah what are you doing,” asked one of the ladies but Sarah was to engrossed in her search to recognize who it was that asked.

“I-I-I think I dropped my … ring and …” tears were dripping down her checks as she realized that Mike was nowhere to be seen.  He was gone…

Marissa looked down at you with those icy cold eyes but you could see the wonder shinning in them.  You had to get her to return you to Sarah … but how?

Before you could say a word Marissa closed her hand around you and walked further away from the playground, and away from your family.  That feeling in your gut returned after so many years; those butterflies that you thought would never bother you again.  As you moved further away you felt yourself being bounced up in down in the little space you had left.  She was skipping to where ever she was heading which only increased your dread.

Suddenly you reached your destination because the bouncing stopped.  The hand slowly opened up and you saw another face, this one was of an adult older than you by a couple of years, she had to be about 34.

“Sis, look what I found,” Marissa said to her older sister.

There was no shock or gasping from this older woman she just looked at you and raised an eyebrow.  “Well this is a surprise,” she said.

You were still too shocked to say anything.

“What is it, Brenda?”  Marissa asked.

“Well it looks as if it’s a tiny man, but what’s it doing out here I don’t know.”  Brenda never took her eyes off of you as she looked you over.  You started to feel self-conscious of yourself the way she was eyeing you.

“What do we do with it,” Marissa asked curiously.

“Well keep it of course.”

This woke you up from you daze.

“Wait!  You have to return me to-”

“Shhhh the big people are talking,” replied Brenda as she shushed you.  You were too shocked at what she did.  Of all the people you would think this older woman would help you, not silence you.

“I’m a person you have to help me!”

Marissa was stilling looking at you with wonder and curiosity, while you saw a look of desire pass over Brenda’s face.  Oh no.  You didn’t like the way she’s acting.  If you can’t convince them to do the right thing then maybe cash would help.

“Okay look.  I have money and if you return me I can pay you whatever you like.”

Brenda thought about it for a second and shook her head no.  “Are you kidding?  Why would I sell something like you?  Come on Marissa, I think we spent enough time here, let’s go home.”

You shouted in protest but were silenced by Marissa’s hand closing around you and followed after her sister.

Mary was having lots of fun when she looked over to see her mommy was sitting on the park bench crying.  She had her face covered while some other women were talking to her.  Mary went over to see what was wrong with her.

“Mommy what’s wrong?”

Sarah heard her daughter and tried to smile at her say nothing but instead she started to cry.

The woman standing next to her said, “She lost her ring and thinks, Timmy,” she pointed to her dog, “Ate it.  I told her I would get it back when it passes through him but she said it didn’t matter.”

“Mommy don’t worry, Daddy won’t mind I’m sure of it.”  At those words a new wave of sobs came out of her.  Mary didn’t know what to do so she just did what her parents did when she was sad, she hugged her mother.

The sudden hug made Sarah pause at her crying.  She needed to be stronger than this; Mike would be ashamed if he saw her break down over him.  Sarah did her best to bury her emotions and held back the waves of tears that wanted to fall.  She hugged her daughter and put on a smile she didn’t feel like showing.

“I’m sorry everyone it’s just that ring was very important and your right, dear, daddy wouldn’t mind it missing.”

Not wanting to be near her husband’s resting place she told Mary that they were leaving, which she gladly followed.

You heard a car engine start.  Slowly the hand that held you opened just enough to see the eye of the little girl who just ruined your life.

“Marissa what are you doing?”

“Nothing,” she said as she closed her hand around you blocking out the light.

You didn’t know what to do.  You had two giant captives who wanted to use you for their own fun, you just know it.  Then you remembered your promise of not dying and knew that someday Sarah would save you; well at least that’s the lie you told yourself.  You felt the years of hardship flowing through you as you went back into your “survival mode”.  You had to harden your mind and spirit if you wanted to live.

It took about 20 minutes to reach where every they lived.  You heard a front door creak open and then shut as all three of you entered the house.

“Ok Marissa put it on the table.”

“Ok,” she obeyed immediately placing you on the table for all of them to see you.

Now that they were next to each other both sisters looked similar yet different in their own ways, like their hair color was different where Marissa’s was burnet, Brenda was blonde.  Marissa had more freckles on her face.

“Marissa, why don’t you go change your clothes they seem dirty?”

“But-”

Brenda gave her a look, not an evil look but a look that said who was in charge.  Without another word Marissa ran down a hall way and you heard the pounding of steps as she went to go change.

“I see you’ve met my sister.”

“… yeah…” you drew out the word as if you were talking to a complete moron.

She rolled her eyes.  “Not that one, my other sister Gloria.”

“What!?!”

Brenda let out a laugh, “Well since you will be staying with us, I might as well tell you.  Where do you think Gloria got that book from?”

She knew about the book.  Then that means…

“That’s right I got it for her.  I found it in a library, a very old library.  I realized what the book was capable of and wrote down the material I wanted and sent the book to Gloria.  You see I moved out of the house when Gloria turned 10 and we used to be very close.  So I sent her a present.  I didn’t get to meet her a lot because of my work and bills and … well you know how life is so busy.  Anyway I sent her the book so she could have fun.  So Gloria would send me emails about what she been doing and blah blah blah.  Then one day I lost contact with her.  I went over and found out she went missing.  Of course I couldn’t find the book I sent her and realized someone took it and possible shrunk Gloria.  Now I know who did it.”

You let the information digest.  Gloria had a sister… wait… sisters.  You did the math and found out that around the night you killed Gloria her parents too had sex and made another one … wow the irony.

The question now is how much does Brenda know about Gloria disappearing.  “So you think I took Gloria…”

Brenda let out a chuckle, “Oh come on MIKE,” how did she know your name? “I know everything.  I know about the games Gloria loved to play; in fact I gave her some tips on how to make them more fun.  The fact that you are around means that Gloria is most likely dead.  Don’t worry I don’t have a grudge against you, in fact I kind of want to thank you.”  She lean in closer and said, “Between you and me she was become a real bitch.”

You didn’t know which was more disturbing the fact that she knows just about everything, or that she didn’t give that her sister was killed by you.  Before you could ask any of your questions Marissa came down stairs in new clothes and Brenda lend back and smiled at you.

“Well since you will be staying with us we need to get you a place to stay.”  Brenda left the room and looked for something to put you in.

“He could stay in my doll house.”  Marissa said still looking at you with eyes of interest.  You didn’t know if that was good or bad thing.

Brenda clapped her hands together in approval, “Alright it can stay in your doll house.  Now who do you want to be played with first?”

You didn’t know who was worse.  You had the big and insane older sister who knew all about Gloria’s demise and even gave her pointers on how to torturer you back then.  Or you could stay with the little sister who you don’t know much about except that she’s been eyeing you like you were a piece of candy.  You also couldn’t help but remember the memories of Gloria in her younger days.  Between young reincarnated Gloria and evil older sister of Gloria’s you had decided that you would rather deal with a more reasonable person than a little child who would probably kill you in two seconds flat.

You pointed at Brenda and said in a low voice, “You.”

Brenda’s face light up joy as if she was being asked out on a date, “Really?  Well if you insist.”

You couldn’t help but see the look of disappointment come across Marissa’s face.  You took pleasure in seeing this second Gloria suffer for what she did to you in her other life.

Brenda picked you up and brought you into her room and placed you down on her bed.  She had her back to you and was rummaging through her drawers.  You couldn’t help but wonder what sad sadistic games you would have to endure for the rest of your life.
