Prologue

Awww…poor little thing. Can you imagine how that must have been for him? I mean, walking so innocently across the campus, when all of a sudden, a pair of enormous glasses land right in front of you. I’m sure that’d be startling enough, but now imagine that said bifocals are followed by two gigantic, bare knees, which hit the ground with a loud thump. Scary enough, huh? I’m sure it is, but nothing compared to actually meeting the hand looking for the glasses.

Now that’s more like a terrifying situation. Noticing a big shadow covering your body, only to stare up and see a huge palm blocking your view, instants before being easily pinned down by it, completely engulfed under its flesh. Seconds later, you feel its long, thick fingers wrap around you, squeezing just tight enough to prevent you from falling as they lift you dozens of feet into the sky. Only your head sticks out from the massive fist, and you find yourself in front of a 20 feet tall face, and a couple of brown eyes squinting down at you.

You might wonder why I describe this situation. Well, believe it or not, that’s how I met Daniel. It was really embarrassing for me and just as terrifying for him. But hey, I guess it’s not that uncommon to have such a first-meeting story, now is it? Anyway, if you’d like to hear how this story went, stay tuned.
