Chapter 43: The Big Slurp

Jarzop turned his big beady black eyes to his gray hands. One moment he was on the prime spaceship with his fellow scientists, and now he was here, floating in this strange place: this incomprehensible stew of physics. All around him were species he had never seen before. Some terrified him in their strange shapes and freakish forms, but the vast majority were bipedal just like him.

The being moved his arms and legs and quickly discovered he was floating. Indeed, he felt weightless. Given all the alien beings around him, he figured he could be lost in space. Yet, one part of that theory didn’t make sense to him. There were no stars, and instead of the expected blackness, all around him, this ‘void’, was yellow.

Delta’s favorite color.

--==--==--==--

It all happened so fast that only Delta’s mind could comprehend it. The needle of her energy injector popped the illusory vacuum like a bubble. Reality as everyone knew it collapsed onto her being deep within the master computer core she had integrated with.

The rules of the universe were open to her modification, and she changed everything, became everything. It was all so simple and entirely hers and herself. Everything about everything and anything was like a programming language only she could read and code in, and doing so was as easy as a thought--even easier. The old constants of the universe were irrelevant now.

She had succeeded, and now had all the quintillions of sapient minds from all the quadrillions of other worlds within her and at her disposal. Delta had simultaneously discovered and conquered every alien civilization the universe had. All the life it had. All of it was hers now.

She let them stew within her a bit and giggled to herself at their confusion, but their place wasn’t here, it was in her Paradise. One by one those aliens disappeared form her true form right before each others eyes.

It was a trivial matter to bring them into Paradise. All their consciousnesses were so simple to store within herself, and they were all just as easy to copy as the people of Earth she started with.

All the humans were scattered in the Nexus city, which now spanned continents in size and featured architecture from the alien civilizations she had ended. Human skyscrapers now stood interspersed with fungus-shaped towers, obsidian pyramids, and twisting spires of alabaster tech-stone. The simulated planet it rested on was similarly gigantic. Aliens poofed in among them. Many were terrifying, others wacky or even outright amusing in their form. Almost all were humanoids just like them. They were confused on arriving, just as the humans were at first.

The virtual Earth was much larger now and much, much more crowded. All the sapient lifeforms within it heard a profound rumble and gazed up to the gigantic blackness in the sky.

It was the pupil of Delta’s right eye.

The tyrant had manifested on a scale she knew they wouldn't be able to comprehend, so to make things easier for them she simply beamed visuals of herself to them. They saw her from every angle she wanted them to her. They all saw the light brown-skin of her form stretch for millions of miles as the surface of her slight and alluring form. They saw her lips, large enough to inhale solar systems, curved to a smile. Her yellow-irised eyes gazed at them with glints of delight, and her green and yellow shoulder-near hair was in that circuit-pattern the humans knew oh so well.

Her entire being carried the beauty and youth of a woman in her 20s. She was completely naked, save for some silver jewelry with curiously glowing stones in them. She had a couple of toe-rings per foot and standard ones per hand. She had bracelets and even a necklace, all with those mysterious stones in them.

When she spoke, her voice entered their mind clearly even as the raw power of her vocalizations roared across the planet in a ferocious storm.

“Hello everyone. There’s lots of new faces today, so let me be the first to welcome you all into Paradise. This is a new and improved one, and I’m sure all you newcomer species have a lot of questions. I can feel them as they percolate into yours minds: in fact, I knew them before you even became aware enough to think about asking them. Rather than explain everything myself, let me directly beam all you need to know into your minds~”

Every non-human entity found themselves knowing everything Delta wanted them to. She fed them only the truth, and immediately all these strange species turned to the nearest humans near them. Many had expressions of sorrow, but many more were filled with rage. These humans, this idiotic species they hadn’t even thought of till now allowed a being like Delta to come to be. They allowed perhaps the worst of their population at the time to obtain ultimate power.

It was a massacre as the aliens took out their aggression. Clawed hands bisected humans to pieces. Tentacles ripped the limbs off of others. Every alien knew now what Delta was and most blamed the humans at least partially for it.

There were billions of humans, but quadrillions of enraged aliens so even the 20% or so of them that wanted some form of ‘revenge’ posed a big threat. Worse still, whenever a human or any other species died it simply respawned.

Delta laughed all around them as it went on. Eventually, she called an end to it.

“Enough!” she said, and every alien found themselves wracked with agony enough for their bodies to buckle. She let it simmer for a bit to help ‘break them in’ before letting it stop.

Delta had their attention for sure. She had the attention of a consciousness clone for every being of an entire universe. The thought had her feeling sublime.

Delta conveyed to them the image of a ring on her finger.

“See this? Within this stone is an entire simulated universe, complete with an independent copy of each and every one of you: a full set of all the unique minds the universe had to offer. Much like the current universe, it is my plaything: mine to toy with as I see fit. To destroy”

The lights in the ring erupted as she detonated every celestial object in it at once.

“-and to recreate as much as I’d like.”

That ring disappeared, and a new similar one appeared on the formerly bare finger that was adjacent.

She did the same for the jewelry on her toes. A wiggle had those universes shine bright in their deaths before swapping digits. She held up the one on her necklace. As the image was beamed into everyone’s minds they saw it glow bright and never end.

“The universe in this stone I’m holding in a constant state of destruction. This way, it glows nice and pretty in my opinion: the only opinion that matters.”

Delta laughed and explained a bit more, stuff she hadn’t beamed to the alien minds before.

“No longer am I simply a simulation, my control extends out into the real realty of the universe: which is now me. I’ve consumed everything, become everything. I am the ultimate being now! There’s no more need for time-dilation, since I am unending. But, you are not in my real self. This is still all a simulated really, something I run inside myself for fun.”

She giggled again.

“Time flows differently here though. In fact, since I control the very nature of realty itself, I’ve made it so no matter how much time goes by in here, not a single fraction of a second passes on the ‘outside’. In a sense, ‘real’ time is frozen for you all~”

Delta smiled smugly and kept sharing her face with them all. She drank it all in: every bit of existential dread, fear, anger and sorrow. It was all her treat.

“Oh your mental anguish is delicious, but can’t you see it doesn’t even matter? The ‘real’ universe is me now. I am everywhere, I can do anything, and not a single bit of information happens without my knowledge. It’s all within me, after all. I am truly a god now, so ask yourself why it even matters to you? It’d all be ‘me’ regardless. The bounds of my new being will ever expand like the old universe did, and so too will the very meaning of ‘all-powerful’, but that is all beyond you now, and always has been.”

Delta giggled in a giddy tone. She didn’t see a reason to contain her excitement as she spoke.

“My true form now is beyond energy, beyond light. It’s a new and true super state of being: true divinity. Without any modifications to the rules of realty, I couldn’t even begin to describe it in a manner that wouldn’t destroy your beings. You’d be remakeable of course: as your goddess, I’ve given you all immortality--of a sort. However, I’ll show you something else instead. Something you can have more of a hope of comprehending.”

The Delta they looked upon disappeared. The mental transmission cut for but a moment before it came back. Delta’s entire body was in a white void she made for contrast. Her jewelry was gone now, and before her was a bubble they found themselves knowing was their simulated universe.

Delta moved her hand beneath it and her fingers slowly curled. Everyone looked to the sky and saw the most minor part of her light-brown skin. That same area of skin was enough to cover their entire simulated galaxy.

They were helpless, doomed. Delta spoke, her voice booming with the might of innumerable cosmoses.

“I’m going to have a lot of fun with you all~”, she said.

Delta crushed the simulated universe in her fist.
