I loved part five and i love then ending. Jack has finally regained his regular size, only for Carly to become even bigger. Part five was great and i loved how while Jack has some issues to work through, he still wouldn't give in to his sister.

Also, i'm really interested in what happened to June and i like that you left the possibility of her still being alive open. I was hoping we would see her in this story, but this is OK too. I am interested in her continued adventures. I still hope June and Jack meet and maybe compare their stories, maybe in a support group manner.

Keep up the great work jacksmith.

PS: Looking forward to the next part in the Time Out series!

Author's Response:

Thanks very much; glad you enjoyed it. The fact that June's fate is unknown at this point (rather than an outright confirmation of her death) may come into play later on in a future story. ;)

I've actually been working on Time Out 7. Hoping to post it in the soon-ish(-ish) future.

That confirms what i already guessed, that they went after Carly because it would bring less attention to the op.

Claire clearly knows that kidnapping Jack will bring complications.

Author's Response:

It will indeed, and probably even more complications than she's possibly accounted for...

Another great chapter!

You know, i am starting to wonder if Dr.Fenton isn't intentionally making these hallucinations go off the rails.

Though it could just be the PTSD.

Author's Response:

Ha. Fortunately, I'm not quite mean enough to make the doctor evil when Jack's already got so many other problems.

So glad that you're back!

Michelle seems really nice, makes me wonder why she's working for Claire. I also wonder if Michelle also looks after June Young since she supposed to be in this lab too. If so, it's good to know June has someone nice taking care of her.

Author's Response:

I hope to make Michelle's purpose here a little clearer later on. Part of it is just that Claire knows how to get what she needs from people no matter what.

Great chapter, it was nice seeing Carly being the one on the receiving end of some foot punishment for a change.

I do wonder how Carly thinks she's going to "hold" her brother, they are the same size.

Author's Response:

To Carly, it's just sort of an inevitability that she'll get what she wants again; she hasn't thought out the specifics.  :)

@AdamX Actually, i think Carly might be the one painting Michelle's toes. I get the feeling that she's not as meek as Carly thinks she is.

Author's Response: If not Michelle, certainly someone is going to be unhappy with Carly.

Another great chapter. Not surprising that Jack doesn't want to talk about what happened before Sophie showed up to save him, or what was going to happen.

Also, the way Leah can't even bring herself to say Carly's name says it all about how she feels about her daughter now.

Author's Response:

Leah does not look particularly kindly on Carly at this point.

Great first chapter, glad to see Jack and glad to hear he's getting psychiatric help, i hope we see his doctor later.

I also hope we meet his parents and how they feel about what Carly did and weather or not they disowned her.

I also look forward to seeing how Carly is doing in captivity.

Author's Response:

Thanks for reviewing! And we will be seeing all of those things you're wondering about eventually.

Without spoiling much, how did his parents react when they heard what happened to Jack? I can't remember if it was mentioned at the end of 3.

I can't help but feel like they might feel guilty, since he was in their house as Carly's slave before Carly left for college and they never noticed.

I mean it's not their fault, but they might still blame themselves.

Author's Response:

You're right, I chose not to address the parents in 3. We'll learn more about their response to all this in the coming chapters, so I'll hold off on answering for now.

I get the impression that Carly doesn't blame Jack for getting shrunk, at least not completely. It seems like she mainly blames Sophie or at least that's how it seems like to me.

Author's Response:

Right. Carly doesn't place blame on Jack. At this point she views him too much as a helpless little thing that needs her to exist, so it doesn't cross her mind to blame him.

I get the feeling Carly will regret doing that.

Author's Response: ...probably an accurate feeling.

I wish we could have seen more of the female guard having fun with Carly and punishing her. I also like that while she doesn't know Jack personally she is still disgusted by what Carly did to him.

I don't know if it's what you intended but i ended up liking her and wishing she"d give Carly a taste of her own medicine.

Author's Response:

While it won't be with the female guard, there's certainly plenty of time left in this story for Carly to get a taste of her own medicine.

Claire's back! I wonder if we'll see the other shrunken folk she has captured.I hope we see June again.

And being told what to do isn't Carly's forte, so i can see Carly getting punished happening frequently.

Author's Response: We will definitely learn a bit more about what Claire's up to here. If not in this story, others in the future may shed more light on her activities (and the people she's come across). Carly is indeed going to find herself in conflict with Claire's expectations.

Great chapter, i was wondering if He would confront Chloe. It also makes me wonder what Jack's Aunt's reaction to what Chloe did was, though Chloe does seem remorseful.

Author's Response:

Jack's aunt's reaction is probably fairly similar to his mom. Both have to deal with the fact that they have a pretty unbalanced daughter, though Chloe's wrongs, strange as it is, pale next to Carly's.

This reminds me, did Jenny get in any legal trouble for what she did to Jack?

Author's Response:

Jenny won't really be addressed in this one, but the implication as of now is that she did not get in legal trouble.

I like Dr.Fenton and i like that she clearly cares about helping Jack.

And man, It can't be easy for Jack's mom to learn what Carly did to him. I really hope we see more bonding there.

Author's Response:

Thanks for reading! We'll see Jack interact directly with his mom later on in the story.

I like that Courtney doesn't seem cruel and that she even asks if the Sizac is still working. She's also rather generous in trying to make his time in her shoe comfortable for a bit. Most aren't as generous.

And it is good to know his parents worry about the Sizac wearing off prematurely too.

This was a great short story.

Author's Response:

Thanks! All things considered, the people in charge of his punishment at least weren't inhuman and did make considerations about his safety and comfort (to a degree, of course).

@el_rooto: Actually, i remember Scott getting pretty bruised up the last time he was worn during a soccer game, it even ended with him knocked out.

Author's Response:

This is a good point as well. Even though Maggie knows how to wear Scott without permanently injuring him, he still takes a beating.

Ah, now i understand why Kevin's mom picked this particular punishment. And i gotta say, Kevin's mom seems pretty understanding and she only got mad when she learned why he was really failing.

Author's Response:

All things considered, Kevin's mom did give him a decent chance. He kinda just messed things up by being a little too much into feet.

@TomSpeedy: Except at this point it's clear Tom doesn't know what's good for him. He's like an addict that thinks they can handle it, but they obviously can't.

Regardless of what you think of her, Tess is in the right here and the the only one that cares for Tom well being 100%. Especially since if Lina has her way, Raphaella will never see her son again and Tess will never see her brother.

@Carycomic: Problem with that is that Lina wouldn't just kidnap someone and she doesn't know Raphaella's sister has Tom's shrunken Grandpa with her.

Why are you making Lina into a bad guy anyway? When in reality there are ways she could resolve it amicably with Raphaella.

Like you know, coming to some sort of compromise with Raphaella. That seems far more in character than deciding to just kidnap someone.
