Nice chapter... Sersei almost seems human in her relationship and interactions with Oliver.  That is, until she and Oliver interact with the other sisters on their way to the shower.  How she briefly shares Oliver with the guilt torn Harmony, not sure if she wants Oliver for her own pleasure or the pain weighing on her as she contemplates the life stolen from Oliver and potentially her young brother in the near future.  I would have enjoyed hearing Sersei chastise Harmony to not to talk or try to establish any kind of rapport with Oliver or any of the other "cigarette butts", further dehumanizing Oliver and the rest.  It should be interesting to see how Grandma Crawford reacts to Oliver when Sersei pays her visit.  Who knows, maybe Grandma Crawford will borrow Oliver for her own bath... OK, I’m gonna try to that visual out of my mind…

Author's Response:

You mentioned grandma and all of a sudden the rent scene from the movie kingpin popped into my head...sweet jesus...the next chapter focuses on harmony so some of your questions will be addressed.

Interesting... I didn't think that Sam would spill the beans about the sisters.  Stan has heard the truth about the Omegas from an Omega... That's a first... Will Sam arrive to explain in greater detail before Kent's little party?  Sam's response to the bands being removed from Kent was as if the significance of this act was profound.  What events has Stan set in motion?

Author's Response:

You may be absolutely right we have no idea what dominos have begun to fall...

Hah... you have to love Stan's style... just clocking Kent to knock a little sense into him.  Kent could prove to be a very useful ally for Stan as he digs deeper into the disappearances of the Omega victims.    How will Stan balance Kent's safety with his need to learn Oliver's whereabouts and solve this mystery?  The sisters, with their mystery wrist bands have truly marked what is theirs.  As others have said, who knows what is going on here and what these bands capabilities are.  It should be interesting to see what measures Stan will take to remove the them... if it's even possible.  Spooky 'Meg magic!

I'm Looking forward to Stan and Sam.  Stan has seen enough to know if Sam tries bs him about what the sisters are up to.  Will he believe the truth if Sam breaks down and tells him?

Author's Response:

Stan and Sam is going to be an interesting dialogue. How much more of her BS will he stoamch before he calls her on it. Next chapter should be telling...

Nice plot development...

Cam lives!  The resistance lives! The Omegas punish their own!  OK, so we knew from previous chapters with Oliver's mother Samantha that there indeed was a resistance movement within the Omegas.  We also had Cerys' statements to Oliver and Cam before she captured them in her room stating the same.  This chapter confirms those claims but also raises more questions.  Who is Agnes?  Her age would seem to put her in the Omegas about the same time as Oliver's mother.  Her accent would lead one to believe she is from an international chapter. and her position, a senior member of this cult.  What could she have done to warrant her being permanently banished from the sisterhood, essentially a death sentence? Does her punishment relate to her feelings of guilt and possibly her being a founding member of the resistance to the status quo? Could it be something else... maybe a power struggle with other sisters... possibly with Edith herself?

Who else is part of this resistance and who's home shelters them?  Someone who lives near the campus.  Vesper is close by but is too entrenched and continues to benefit too much.  Carol?  If this is true, Stan is in for a surprise when he meets Cam.  It's also possible there is another ally of Samantha who has not yet been revealed…

Author's Response:

Yes Cam survived! Cerys was on the level, well maybe, but at least Cam is alive! Great question - Who is Agnes, and if she has the wherewithal to restore Cam, why hasn't she herself been restored? food for thought. At least we can now see there may yet be hope for Oliver...

Stan the improvising man...Carol knows more about Stan than she admits.  Careful Stan... Don't be fooled...

Author's Response:

He's Stan-tastic!!!

It's great to see your work again Duggernaut, you were truly missed.  Another great chapter... now will someone please get Cam out of that stomach he's been languishing in for the last few months.  I'm guessing he's hungry and the air is pretty stale in there :)

Author's Response:

Lol I can neither confirm nor deny the possibility of a chapter involving Cam upcoming...fortunately for him the story doesn't parallel real time. Glad to be back and hope the continuance of this story lives up to expectation.

I wanted to say how enjoyable the chapter was.  More and more, Cerys' statements made to Oliver seem to be true.  There seems to be a separatist segment within the Omegas, they do have a weeping stone and apparently, Samantha is storing the life energy from the reaping of other poor saps to try to restore Oliver. Interesting.  So, wow, Samantha is a Frost... possibly even the daughter of the Queen bitch herself.  I wonder if that's the reason Edith gave Oliver a little slack during his interrogation. It sounds like Stan could be in serious jeopardy from old Edith.  Hopefully he takes the advice given to keep clear. Now... On to Cam's fate... don’t let us down Cerys…

Author's Response:

Thanks! It does seem to lend some credence to Cerys' statement, but...  What is Oliver is actually Edith's grandson, there because her family pride is on the line

Sara's an Omega too?  Dang... that is gut wrenching.  I'm interested to know Oliver's game plan.  How can he hope to beat these monsters?  It's about time for Stan and Samantha to have a discussion about the Omegas...

Author's Response:

So it would seem, unless Sersei is lying, but why would she? The will be a samantha chapter coming soon, more answers along with it.

Hmmm... I think we all suspected that the Omegas had at least influence with law enforcement... and apparently there is more than simple influence.  It makes one wonder just how far their tentacles reach.  As I've said before, I believe they are embedded in every facet of life that touches or influences the success and functionality of the sorority.  Anything that supports the ongoing replenishment of Omega sons at universities is fostered an anything that threatens the sisters and the harvesting of their victims is eliminated.  Stan is just now beginning to realize just how extensive this conspiracy truly is.  Hopefully, Deacon and company will be of some help to Stan to sort this all out. It should be interesting to see Samantha's response when Stan explains what is happening.  Will she tow the Omega line and cover for her sisters and dismiss Stan’s allegations?  Will she realize Stan must now be dealt with and set him up for the sisters to take him?  Or will she finally break ranks with the Omegas and come clean hoping to save what is left of Oliver?

Author's Response:

You've known it all along these girls have insinuated themselves into positions of power EVERYWHERE! There will be a samanth chapter coming in the next half dozen or so

It's interesting to see Sersei's emotional response to hear that Cam was swallowed by Cerys.  She almost seems to care that her only sibling has been killed.  Especially since she was instrumental in Cam being in put this position.  Sersei was the one who misled her brother about the pink wrist bands and always knew what would happen to Cam.  Maybe she was upset that Cerys simply overstepped her bounds, not that Cam was murdered.  Of course, she easily accepted that Oliver, a boy she actually liked, would probably be killed by Cerys, so I guess it’s no biggie.  After all, it’s not like they are people…

Author's Response:

We shall see soon enough, but until then, let's check in on Stan

As much as I love Oliver calling the monsters out and asking them the hard questions, I wish he’d push a little more to the real point.  How many deaths is Edith responsible for?  If I remember correctly, she was one of the founders of the Omegas.  That makes every son taken blood on her hands.  Of course, Oliver doesn’t know the details of her life, how old she really is, but I’d still like for him to call her out.  How many sons have you taken, harvested and whose lives have ended at your hands? Murderers.

I’m glad to see Oliver thinking big picture.  He has to make the best of a bad situation.  Maybe cozying up to Sersei will extend his life a little.  It will be interesting to see his plan take shape.  Now for the update on Cam and his struggles and of course the recovering Stan as he regroups.

So, finally mention of the wax impression and it’s use.  While Oliver speculates what it’s use may be for and recollects his discovery in Vesper’s office of the dozens of molds with the names of young men.  Vesper tells us that Oliver’s mold will be popular.  So they are not only a remembrance of the “harvest” of the poor victim, they are a collectable for the sisters.  Maybe to become a pendent for a necklace, ear rings or an ornament of sorts.  Sick and twisted, especially after the death of the victim.

God, I love this stuff!!

Author's Response:

While this is still new to Oliver we know these women have been practicing these rituals for a long long time. He isbstruggling to find purpose and a path to freedom while staring death in the eye. Next chapter Stan.

Let's hope that Edith doesn't take Oliver's response "stick it in your ass" literally.  That perspective might not be exactly what he had in mind...

Author's Response:

Right! Perhaps not the wisest epithet to hurl at a giant sized woman

Damned Omega bitches... You gotta love Oliver's resolve against overwhelming odds as he stands firm against the sadistic monsters. He calls them out for what they truly are. Unfortunately, as the hag said, she could torture him in any of a number of ways...  tearing him slowly apart... a clothes iron... acid... crushing body parts with a pair of pliers… not good.  As others have said, I don't think she will do these things... even if Oliver resists.  I love Oliver calling the bitches out.  The sisters have become so numb to what they do that they see nothing wrong with any of their crimes because in their eyes, their victims are never really people, they are a sacrifice yet to be made, an offering to whatever pagan deity they blindly worship and the life energy the sisters need to perpetuate the deception.

Pix brings up a great point that I hadn’t previously considered. Those sisters with one child have a first born male and the mother stops there with no other offspring. Where the first born is female as in the case of Sersei or Harmony, the brothers are a couple of years younger than their sisters.  Given the dislike Edith has for (normally sized) Men in the lives of the sisters, this must mean that the siblings have different fathers who may have met the same end as Charlie.

I want to second the point made by a prior review... This story works so well because we genuinely care about the protagonists.  Cam, Oliver and Stan are good, likeable people that have become victims to the most loathsome, Satan like creatures imaginable.  They take on a pleasing form to lure in their prey.  Their victims unaware of the smoke and mirrors until it is too late.  There must be some way of taking this sick operation down.  It’s up to Oliver to stay strong to protect and give a chance to Stan.  In turn, Stan, Deacon and company (Samantha?) must put a plan together.  If Stan has a heart to heart with Samantha, she might spill the Omega beans (as crazy as the story would sound).  I could see a determined and armed Stan make his way back into the Omega house to take down Edith.  Not that I condone violence, but exceptions sometimes need to be made…

Author's Response:

After that surgically precise delivery of Oliver's father's fate our boy stayed true and yep called them out on their BS. The question can he stay strong while they have their way with him? Or will he escape again and seek revenge on Cerys? Oliver has proven himself a challenge to these efficient killing machines. A few questions answered but still so many others asked. 🤔

Duggernaut,

In your last response, you stated that “I honestly haven't mapped the story out that far ahead”.  That reply got me wondering.  What inspires you, the author regarding the direction of the story?  Is it solely your ideas and personal inspiration that strike you or have you, on occasion, been influenced by our critiques and suggestions?  Have we influenced you in deciding the direction of and possibly even the ultimate outcome of the story?

Author's Response:

Hey Shrink it is sometimes a mixture of the two that transforms the narrative. Great reviewers lime yourself offer a different perspective than I sometimes equated or accounted for. There also times when reviewers are amazingly insightful and this opens the way to other poentialities I have not considered. Other times I know the end but not the between parts. So in a nutshell yes sometimes reviewers influence me. :)

What a wonderful chapter of revelations.  Firstly, you have to love Stan's personality and way of cutting through the crap.  I liked the way he kept Deacon clear of trouble and did not reveal his experience with "Oliver" not properly responding to his tease. I loved his interaction with Monroe, refusing to take “no” for an answer.  Now, the interesting part.  Edith knew Stan's mother which would make his mother an Omega and Stan the son of an Omega not yet sacrificed to the sisters. Edith clearly put two and two together and in my opinion, will want to make up for lost time with Stan.  Stan will need to watch his back because the sisters will be coming for him. Now it's getting interesting!  More please...

Stan wasted no time to get to the Omega Pi house.  He knows men are disappearing an needs to be cautious be he is supremely concerned for Oliver's safety.  Will he rush in or will he go fishing to see how these excuses for human beings respond.  He knows there is danger and I think he's smart enough to be careful.  If they do invite him in, for God's sake don't accept a beverage, otherwise we'll be talking about "little Stan". Imagine if Samantha we're to pay a visit to the house and was introduced to the reduced version of her husband...

Stan's actions will dictate if the sisters percieve him to be a threat to the local house and the sorority as a whole.  If Allie, Edith and the rest see him as a danger, how do they respond?  This can't be the first time this kind of situation has played out in the history of the Omegas.  Do the sisters personally take action or maybe there is a protector, someone that takes out any threat. Maybe a call is made to Samantha to call him off.  Stan is a bull dog who has sunk his teeth in and isn't letting go...
