Arthur Brenner has gone for most of his life pretending to be someone he can only dream of being.

But just as a ray of light enters his dark world, everything becomes what never should've been. Our cocky, shy, and very stubborn hero is pitted into a world of things he can no longer control, and many more things he will have to learn to manipulate, even if it costs him a piece of who he is.

Can he grow as a person, in deeds? And if so, does size determine what a real person is? Or does the content of our character  define who we are?

This story is based on characterization and will not be 100% action. It has been written with more mature audiences in mind, or those who enjoy immersion in a world bourn of fantasy. The action is latent compared to some others, but I believe the wait is worth it.

A man shrinks at a New Year's party and gets caught under an unconventional dropping ball.

Simon has Regressor's Syndrome, rendering him and all other sufferers on the planet around two inches in height. Normally, he lives in a specially designed colony with other people of his height and disposition, but this week he's visiting his normal-sized sister, Milla, who's just out of college and living on her own for the first time in her life. Simon's ready to cut loose and enjoy the big-person world for all the delights it has to offer... but he didn't count on one factor: Milla's roommate Beck, who seems to have a strange fascination with our tiny hero's size...

But Simon is an optimist. He can make friends with anybody, especially somebody his protective big sister loves and admires. Will he win Beck over? Or does another fate await him?

After a grueling fight with a terminal illness, Renton dies at the young age of 21, leaving behind his best friend and soulmate, Molly. But upon entering the afterlife, he is informed of a special opportunity that would allow him to return to Earth as a sprite and spend the rest of time with his beloved.

The only catch is that he can't let anyone else discover he's alive again. Oh, and his new form is only a centimeter tall.
