I rarely review stories--in fact, this might be my first or second time--but I like where this is going.  Great descriptions, and the pace is fast enough that it keeps reader interest in what will happen next.

You're well-suited for the mother/son genre. When I saw that this would be mostly gentle and unknown, I was little disheartened, because I like the mother to know of such tiny matters. However, I know you will do a great job here. As you already know, I'm hoping the son is found out at some point, but by then, it's too late!

my goal here is to do something quite a bit different than normal, so unfortunately i'll probably need to stick to the unaware scenario to do that right. hope you enjoy it though
