Author's Chapter Notes:

Here we are, chapter one!

I've been reading a lot of revenge stories and reincarnated manga, so I thought this could be fun to try.

“Primavella Jangard, you have committed numerous atrocities against Felicia. The witnesses here tonight have provided their statements, and given irrefutable evidence. You have revealed yourself to be a contemptuous individual, and unworthy of the title of the ‘Sacred One.’ Therefore, I announce the annulment of our engagement!”

The nobles in attendance gasped and murmured among themselves. This was the graduation ceremony for Academy of Magic, the most prestigious school in the country of Norn. Only the elite and the talented were accepted and trained how to become a certified mage.

And during the final ball before school ends, such a scene took place.

Such a common, predictable, overplayed scene. After all, so many otome games have this kind of scene. But this one isn’t an otome game.

“Do you have anything to say for yourself, Primavella?” the imposing royal asked, taking a step forward. The main romantic interest of the game, a tall blonde with an icy blue glare. The crown princess, Gremoria Norn.

“Do not just stand there! Confess your sins!” yelled a large, muscular redhead. Fiery green eyes glared down in a judgemental fashion. The knight prodigy and likely next head of the Royal Knights, Leona Katswell.

“Do give her a moment. Her entire evil plan has just been exposed, so it’s unlikely she’ll accept reality right away” another said with a smirk. A gloved hand pushed a pair of large glasses over light purple eyes. Long, platinum blonde hair flowed down her back. The future prime minister of the country, Delilah Firbane.

“Prima…enough is enough. Confess, beg for mercy, and you can still redeem yourself…” a kind hearted woman called out weakly. Her brunette bob haircut framed her concerned face, her purple eyes misty with held back tears. The adopted sister of the accused, Cayna Jangard.

All the eyes were settled on a single person, Primavera Jangard. She stood with her head held high as she looked up at the group of people standing on the staircase. Studied their faces one by one, her piercing scarlett eyes seeming to look straight through them. They settled on Gremoria…or rather, the person standing behind her.

Light pink hair, teary golden eyes…the heroine of the game, Felicia Daude. The person that was supposed to usurp her as the Sacred One. When she met Primavella’s eyes, she recoiled and clutched tightly to Grimoria.

Gremoria clenched an angry fist and slammed it against the railing of the staircase.

“Speak! By my authority as a member of the Royal Family, I order you to confess to everything!” she roared angrily. A shockwave of golden magical energy swept through the room. Many witnesses began to tremble, some even began to kneel. But Primavella stood unwavering in place.

She simply sighed and brushed one of her long, dark locks of hair from her face.

“I have nothing to confess, your majesty. Please supply sufficient evidence to back up your claims” she replied calmly. Grimoria glared spitefully at her fiance as she snapped her fingers.

Delilah stepped forward, raising a crystal. Pouring in some magical power, light shot out and displayed a chart in the air.

“As you can see here, I’ve done an investigation of Ms. Jangard’s finances. It seems that her assets have grown massively…including in increments that Ms. Daude’s money was stolen. Do you have any explanation for this data?” she asked, pushing up her glasses with a cocky smile.

“Circumstantial at best. Perhaps the money was used in one of my businesses? I have no way of telling one gold coin apart from another, after all” Primavella said calmly. Delilah clicked her tongue and sneered in response.

As she dispelled the chart, Leona stepped forward.
“I, on my honor as a knight, swear to tell the complete truth!” she shouted earnestly. “Several weeks before, I saw Primavella standing over Felicia! Felicia was injured, and Primavella was preparing to cast a spell towards her when I stepped in and defended her! I clearly witnessed Primavella assaulting the defenseless Felicia in cold blood!” she shouted loud enough for everyone to hear.

“Once more, circumstantial. You arrived at the end of the incident and saw my magical power forming. Are you an expert in magical formulae? You have no idea what spell I was casting. I could have been attempting to heal Ms. Daude. Or perhaps defending myself against her. You have no way of knowing, since you merely injected your opinion of what happened after stepping in.”

“What was that?! Say that again you bitch!” she screamed, placing her hand on the hilt of her sword.

Gremoria placed a hand on her shoulder, pulling her back. Instead, Cayna stepped forward.

“I…have to confess to what I witnessed as well…” she said weakly. The princess cast a spell to amplify her voice across the room.

“When…when Prima came home from the Solstice Ball…she declared that she hated Felicia. She wouldn’t tell me anything about why, just that she would always consider the Daude household her enemy. I tried not to think about it…but I was there yesterday. When Prima…cornered Felicia…and threatened her…”

Cayna held up a crystal, projecting a captured image to the crowd. It was Primavella holding a dagger to Felicia’s throat behind the dormitories.
“She said…that she wouldn’t stop with Felicia. She’d erase the entire Daude household from the world…” she squeaked out, tears flowing down from her eyes.

Now, for the first time this night, Primavella was visibly shaken. Though from the firm evidence, or having her sibling be the one presenting it, it was hard to tell what hurt her more.

Gremoria walked down the stairs, sneering at Primavella.

“You have your evidence. Confess to everything, and I may still show mercy” she demanded once more. Primavella looked up at the tall woman…and began to beat her wings. She fluttered off the floor, rising to meet her gaze.

After all, as a Sacred One, Primavella was born as a fairy. A mere three inches tall with black and red butterfly wings behind her. Yet an amount of magical power to level cities dwelled in that feeble frame.

Once eye level, Primavella looked Gremoria in the eyes without blinking.

“Everything I have done is for the sake of this kingdom. I have committed no sin worth confessing towards Ms. Daude, nor anyone else” she said firmly.

The onlookers were shocked at the firmness of that statement. Murmurs erupted once more. Delilah made a disgusted expression. Katia clenched her teeth and gripped her sword. Cayna began to fully weep.

Gremoria refused to break her eye contact with Primavella, even as she sighed.

“Then, I am left with no choice. By my authority as the 1st Princess of the Norn, I declare Primavella to be a false Sacred One. All rights shall be stripped of her from that title. She is to be excommunicated from the Church of the Spirits, and stripped of her citizenship in Norn” she declared openly. Gasps erupted from everyone at the severity of the punishment she was receiving. Primavella clenched her tiny fists so hard, blood began to drip from them.

“And lastly…” Gremoria said, a wicked smile spreading across her face. “As a non citizen of Norn, trespassing in the Academy of Magic is strictly banned” she declared. Her hand shot out, grabbing Primavella out of the air.

“U-unhand me at once!” she screamed, struggling to get out of the princess’s gloved hand. But Gremoria ignored her, using her free hand to reach around to her wings. Pinching the tops, she ripped the top off of her delicate wings clean off. Primavella screamed in pain as the princess chuckled at the reaction.

“Therefore, you are sentenced to death!”

Gremoria opened her mouth wide as she began to raise Primavella up above her head. The small woman screamed and fought as she saw what her former fiance was trying to do. But she had no power to stop it from happening.

A Sacred One cannot bring out their magic with damaged wings. It’s why they never go out without a loyal protector. But her protector was already…

Once Primavella was directly above Gremoria’s mouth, the grip was released. She could only flail in the air and she was dropped directly on top of her pink tongue. The lips sealed shut as soon as contact was made. Plush pink lips clamped down on her legs at the knee. A girly giggle escaped her as she began to suck her legs in as well.

Everyone in the room stood in stunned silence as the princess tasted her former fiance, moaning and pushing her around in her mouth for half a minute. When she was finally satisfied, she leaned her head back.

GLCK!

The swallow seemed to echo across the room, and some could swear they heard muffled screaming. The princess let out a satisfied breath and turned back to the staircase with a satisfied smile.

“Felicia, come here” she called out gently. The small woman began to fly over on her lovely white and pink dragonfly wings. She landed daintily on the princess’s palm, eliciting a loving smile from her.

“To all in attendance, justice has been served here today! From today onwards, Felicia is to be known as the Sacred One! Not only that…she is to be my fiance! If anyone has any complaints of what happened here today, speak now!” she ordered to the room.

Everyone stood in stunned silence, looking amongst themselves. No one uttered so much as a whisper, afraid of opposing the princess. Many looked towards her stomach, as if fearing a similar fate as the one she was supposed to love.

The first noise to break the silence was clapping from the stairwell. Leona was clapping her hands with a bright smile on her face.

“Congratulations, Your Majesty!” she called out. Delilah began to join in the applause, signaling everyone else in the room to join in. The ballroom was soon booming in clapping and congratulatory shouts.

Only two inside the ballroom didn’t congratulate the happy couple. One was Cayna, still weeping over the fate of her sister. The other was, of course, Primavella herself. Inside the princess’s stomach, she was screaming and fighting for her life.

No matter how she hit the ever shifting walls, there was no effect. She wasn’t even causing an upsetting feeling to Gremoria. Her lovely dress was beginning to burn off of her body from the acids, and her skin was getting irritated.

Tears streamed down her face as she gave a beastly scream of terror. The villainess died a pathetic death, slowly digested by the princess she so dearly loved when they were younger…

“DON’T GIVE ME THAT BULLSHIT!” Katie screamed as she chucked her controller on the ground. She shot up from her chair, flipping off the TV screen as it displayed a CG of Gremoria lovingly nuzzling Felicia.

“HOW THE FUCK IS THIS SUPPOSED TO BE A HAPPY MOMENT?! YOU PIECE OF SHIT PRINCESS! DIE! DIE A SLOW AND PAINFUL DEATH!” she shouted with all her might.

She started catching her breath, still pissed at how things turned out.

Katie was a pretty typical college student in her final year. One thing she enjoyed a lot was playing her precious Yuri games.

Indeed, the scene from before was from an incredibly popular yuri dating game that was recently a few months back. The Fairy’s Heart took place in the fantasy kingdom of Norn, where players could control Felicia Daude.

Felicia was a cute and innocent girl that knew nothing of noble society, since she was raised in the woods with her mother after an incident when she was younger. But her bright personality uplifted the spirits of the romance targets, who couldn’t help but fall for her.

Though she experienced many struggles whenever the villainess, Primavella, appeared. The Duke’s daughter was born as a Sacred One and engaged to the crown princess since they were young.

At the appearance of a second Sacred One, she began to bully her out of jealousy and insecurity. Messing with her belongings, publicly degrading her, even threatening her life. But in their final year, she was executed by the crown princess for her crimes.

Although…all of that wasn’t actually true.

“This route was no good either, huh? Well, at least I get to see their reactions again…” Katie mumbled to herself as she began to speed through the next few weeks of in game time.

After Primavella died, the princess fell ill. The mana she absorbed through digestion was supposed to make her more powerful, but it was too much to handle. She fell into a coma that very night due to the overload.

Though it was likely for the best, because the king had her detained for her actions. She did not have the authority to punish Primavella, let alone kill the country’s established Sacred One. He was deeply saddened with the reality that he may have to order his daughter’s execution if she ever woke up…

Soon after, Felicia vanished from the academy. Everyone was thrown into a panic, since the Sacred One was missing. The mana in the air became thinned in less than a week without her presence.

Several weeks later, the neighboring Branto Empire declared war with Norn. Without a Sacred One there to defend them, they were quickly on the losing side of the war. Katia lost her life on the battlefield, beheaded by the enemy’s magical knights.

Delilah was sent to negotiate peace with their commander, but instead was enslaved by the empire’s noble in charge of diplomacy. She was tortured daily before she finally bit off her own tongue to bleed out.

Cayna was so overcome with grief and fear, she drank poison to pass away peacefully. When the enemy set fire to the Janguard mansion, not even her body was left.

Gremoria awoke as the capital was being besieged. Using her newly absorbed power, she fought hordes of soldiers alone. The battle may have turned the other direction…until Felicia reappeared.

The princess was so relieved, she failed to notice until it was too late.

Felicia was standing as a regular human, with no wings, and wielding a sword. She gave the princess one final kiss as she drove her sword through her heart. Gremoria died, her face frozen in an agonized expression of betrayal as she went.

That was the big twist of the game that players couldn’t believe. Felicia was a spy sent by the Branto Empire the entire time. The heroine was the villain all along, setting up the country to be taken over. She used potions and spells to keep herself shrunk, and fake wings to appear as though she was flying with them instead of the levitation spell.

And Primavella, that cold hearted villainess, was falsely executed because of it. She was the true Sacred One all along, and knew Felicia to be false. That’s why she targeted her, to try and find proof.

But she was too kind hearted, and gave her too many chances to turn herself in or leave the country. Before she realized it, everyone she loved had turned against her.

Leona, her designated protector knight, turned her back on her after she believed Primavella to be evil.

Delilah, her oldest friend, couldn’t stand Primavella’s stubbornness and bullying. After a misunderstanding, she began to outright hate her.

Cayna, her beloved adopted sister, couldn’t stand seeing her sister conduct misdeeds any longer. Breaking their promise to always trust one another, she worked with Felicia to gather evidence against her.

Even Gremoria, who she treasured dearly since their engagement, murdered her in such a brutal manner.

It was a true tragedy that enraged fans. It had been a bestseller because of how lovely it was up until that point. But once people reached one of the endings, they couldn’t stand playing any longer. Every route led to ruin.

Though, Katie still continued to play.

“I see…so this route is no good too, huh?” she mumbled to herself as the ‘The End’ displayed on the screen. She had played through every major route so far, and was currently trying to find a happier ending.

No matter who was romanced, Felicia used them to bring the country to ruin. The happiest ending was where Felicia failed to romance anyone, and the capture targets went on to live miserable, loveless lives.

It clearly wasn’t a happy ending, but it’s the only one where they don’t all die.

Katie did find a few hidden scenarios from her repeated playthroughs, and had nearly mapped out the entire game. She was hopeful this time, since she had discovered some documents of the Daude family’s involvement with the Branto Empire. But the heroine destroys them automatically, so they can’t be given away.

Multiple attempts at getting people to accompany her and then discover them also don’t end well. She hides them so they can’t see it, then destroys them later.

So far, Katie had cleared the game 149 times. She made a fully charted document of what each choice does. There was only one last string of unknowns to find out. She quickly started another New Game+ to get started on it once more.

She skipped the first opening scenes, knowing it by heart by now. Skipping through dialogue she already knew, reading only the new info made her play the days quickly. Within a few hours, she was halfway through.

By the time she cleared the game for the 150th time, the sun had set outside. Her red, strained eyes were locked onto the ‘The End’ screen.

“...that’s it. That’s everything that could possibly happen” Katie said with a defeated sigh. She had officially made a 100% clear of the game, and there was no happy ending for Primavella. Felicia always manages to ruin everything.

Katie pulled out her phone, staring at the screen for a minute. Her screensaver was a lovely smile that Primavella gives in one of the very first CGs. It was so breathtaking that Katie became obsessed with her character. It wouldn’t be absurd to say she was Primavella’s #1 fan in the world.

“Fucking devs…can’t give even a single good thing for Prima fans? Not one happy ending for the real heroine? They could have at least made a dlc or announced a sequel…” she grumbled, knowing there would never be an update.

The studio that made this announced that this was the final product, and no new content would be created for it. They were moving on to other projects, and this likely would never be picked up again.

Now that she confirmed there was no hidden route to give Prima a happy ending…Katie couldn’t help but feel hollow inside.
“What the hell should I do now…” she mumbled to herself, getting ready to close the game. But as she moved to reach the exit window, a notification popped up.

Conditions Met.

Primavella Route Unlocked

Proceed?

Katie sat staring at the message for a solid minute, her mind overloaded to fully process it.
“I can…save her…?” she mumbled to herself, a few tears filling her eyes. She picked up her controller and selected Yes on the screen.

Primavella Jansgard’s fate has been sealed.

Attempting to alter fate is dangerous.

Are you prepared to stake your life on giving her happiness?

Are you willing to give up your current world for it?

She backed up a little at that message. What the hell kind of follow up is this? Maybe it’ll delete all her data if she fails in this playthrough? Katie smirked and gripped her controller tighter.

“Are you kidding me? There’s no way I’d ever lose! I know more about this world than the devs! I don’t give a damn about the risks, I’ll make sure Prima ends up happy this time!” she shouted as she confirmed her choice.

Is that so?

I’m glad!

Prima is my beloved child…but she cannot face this threat.

She was born in the wrong era.

Thus, her turn shall be skipped this time.

Instead, I wish you luck.

Primavella “Katie” Jansgard.

The TV screen suddenly let out a bright white light. Katie screamed and covered her eyes, panicking at what was happening. She could feel something surrounding her body and her mind was flooded with fog. She could only last a few seconds before her mind faded into inky darkness…

“....y!”

“...dy!”

“...ady!”

“MILADY!”

Katie shot up when she heard the booming voice shouting near her. She looked around in a panic, gasping for air. There was a faint pain in the back of her head, and her eyes were adjusting to opening into bright light.

It took a few seconds, but she slowly began to adjust her vision as she heard someone take a relieved breath above her.

“Milady! I’m so happy you’re alright! I was so worried when you wouldn’t open your eyes!” the voice continued. Milady? Who was she talking about? It definitely couldn’t be her…or could it be some weirdo?

She did feel something soft and warm underneath her. Did she pass out while playing the game? Was she in the hospital? Maybe this was a part of a dream…but the pain she felt was definitely real…

“Mistress Primavella, are you ok? Please, say something!” the voice said pleadingly. What? Primavella?

Katie’s eyes finally adjusted to the light. Hovering directly over her was the face of a beautiful young woman with tears in her eyes. She had short, dirty blonde hair and cute brown eyes. She’d honestly be very cute…IF HER FACE WASN’T THE SIZE OF A BILLBOARD!!!

Looking around in a panic, Katie found herself in a panic. She was currently laying in this giantess’s hands! She immediately backed up in a panic, yelping when she felt the edge of her fingers behind her. Looking over the edge, she saw a drop that would be hundreds of feet to her.

Her heart racing, she looked back up at the giant woman’s face with an expression of terror.
“I-I’m sorry! P-p-please don’t hurt me!” she begged, raising her arms over her head in a defensive pose. The giantess gasped a bit, leaning her face in closer.

“Milady! P-please calm down! It’s just me, Frue! Your maid!” she exclaimed, though that failed to stop Katie’s trembling. She simply screamed as she saw the giant face getting closer. “Mistress Primavella, please calm down! I would never do anything to harm you!”

Katie froze up when she heard that name again.

She looked around once more, slowly this time. They seemed to be in the courtyard of a castle. Katie was wearing a dress made of black silk. And she could see it in her shadow. A pair of butterfly wings on her back.

“I’m…Primavella?” she asked aloud in disbelief.

What the hell was happening? She…was in Primavella’s body? Which means…this is the world of Fairy’s Heart? Is this…because of the screen said before?

Her head was pounding painfully, as her heart felt like it would rip itself out of her chest. Katie collapsed down, her eyes closing as her mind faded to black once again.

“M-milady! Please, hang in there milady! I’ll bring you to the doctor right away!” Frue shouted. Katie could feel herself being carried away in the soft hands of the maid as she drifted away…
