I was thrown back onto the beach with such force. It blew sand in all directions about thirty feet. Luckily no one was around to get hit by the sand or, myself. My body was covered with brushes and cuts.

I looked out towards the sea to see the person who was supposed to be my birth father. He stood at seventy feet, and no I'm not exaggerating on his height. He also had blonde colored hair and gold colored eyes.

"Give up Sayuka you will never beat me. You I haven't truly mastered your abilities or control of your strength at your height," he said with a laugh.

"Once we finally finish you all of this planet's resources will belong to me," he said.

I looked at him with a fierce determination in my eyes. "I'll never give up," I shouted. "I'll defend my new home to the very last breath," I said shrugging to get up. When I finally was on my feet again I took a fighting stance

My "father" looked at me with amusement. "Then come at me with everything you've got Sayuka," he said in a taunting gesture.

"You asked for it," I said as I raised my fist and charged at him again.

Oh, hello there everyone my name is Sakuya. That's right it's just Sakuya. No last name. You may not believe me when I tell you that I'm an alien. Well it is true I am one and I come from a distant planet. Don't ask me it's name. It's got no translation in the human language.

However it's in a distant part of our Milky Way Galaxy. The people who live there are a highly advanced species and look kinda like human beings, but they have a strange ability were they can change there height.

I can do this as well and I also possess other abilities but, I really don't like using them unless I am defending myself, or someone I care about, or I really need to reach something on a high shelf at home.

As for why I'm here on this planet. Well we'll get to that later. There are a few hobbies I've picked up while I grew up here one was chess. I'm actually really good at chess. I'm one of the best in my school. Another is cooking, man I love cooking. Anyways my adopted parents know that I'm an alien, because they're the ones who found my crashed site when I came here.

They are very kind and loving people. They always treat me like there own daughter, and not some outsider. This was one of the reasons I love them and would do anything to protect them.

I only have a one friend, and that mean a lot to me. I first Cristian Vaché who is my only friend, and the only other person other then my parents who knows that I'm an alien and think it's actually kinda cool.

As for my appearance I have long black hair that goes down to my back and it is always tied back in a bow. My eyes have a goldish color to them. My normal height is around 4' 3". I'm not entirely sure what my limit is when I get gigantic but I've grown up to about 6 foot to reach high places when I'm at home.

My adopted parents say that I need to be careful when I do my growing thing because, if someone would see me it could cause us some trouble.

The only person that I trust is Cristian because, he doesn't see me as a freak or an alien, he actually found out by accident. He had walked in on me when I was in the kitchen.

After getting over his initial shock and calming down I told him what I was. He then said that he always wanted to meet an alien. He then told me that he always thought that there was something different about me. I was kinda shocked that he didn't see me in a different light. He then said that I was his friend and he didn't think me as an alien at all.

As for where I live I crash landed near a farm field near Tiffin, Ohio. When I was four we moved to New Haven, Connecticut and have lived there ever since then. This is actually when I meet Cristian.

Now your probably wondering how I got here. Well I'm going to tell you.

Flashback - October 14th, 2005 above Earth

I had just entered Earth's orbit. Don't ask me how a baby can remember that I honestly don't know. Anyways my tiny craft started to descend through Earth's atmosphere. About one third of the way down my craft began to malfunction.

Since it only had auto pilot there was nothing I could do to slow it down.

It started to descend at an incredible rate. Luckily the heat shield held up or I would have been burned to crisp.

Somewhere near Tiffin, Ohio

My parents were driving home when they saw a streak of light shoot across the sky. They then saw a crash. "Wonder what that was," my future mother said.

"Don't know we probably should go and check it out," he said. They drove to the corn field that my space craft had landed. When they approached it they saw that it was a small silver sphere about two and a half feet in diameter.

"What is it?" The woman asked as they slowly approached the craft.

"I'm not entirely sure," the man replied as he slowly reached to touch the sphere.

"John what do you think you're doing that thing could be dangerous," the woman said.

"Darling it's okay," he said as his finger touch the craft. Strange it's cool," he said removing his hand from it.

At that moment that craft made a hissing sound as it opened up. Both of them screamed and jumped back. When the clouds that came out of the craft had dissipated it revealed at small girl with black hair and golden eyes.

"It's a baby girl," the woman said.

"Hello there little one where do you come from?" the man that would become my father asked me as he nealled down in front of me.

"Honey I don't think she can understand you," she said as she walked up next to you.

"I don't know where I'm from," I said.

"What the did she just talk?" The woman asked.

"I..I..I think so," the man replied with a shakey voice.

"Did you just say something?" my mother asked me. I nodded my head.
"What's your name?" she asked me.

"Sakuya," I said in a small voice.

"Do you have any family?" the man asked.

"I don't remember," I said.

"Then I guess we will be your family," the woman said picking me up. The man smiled at me as picked up my space craft.

"This thing us rather light," my new father said. Then the three of us walked back towards there car. My father placed the craft in the back seat while I sat on my mother's lap.

"So you don't remember anything, but your name," my mother asked in a calming tone. I nodded my head.

"So you don't know were you came from?" my father asked. I nodded my head again.

"Well you may remember eventually. When you do we hope that you will tell us.

"I will," I promised. Not much later we reached there home. It was a very normal home it only had one floor. I would live there for the first four years of my life on Earth.

Four years later

"Wait we're moving," I asked them one day.

"Yes both your father and I got job teaching jobs out east in Connecticut," my mother said.

"Is it pretty out there?" I asked.

"I don't know I've never been out there," my father said as he taped up another box and placed it in the U-HAUL. It took them another four days to get everything packed up and in the U-HAUL. I sat in my seat in our van looking out the window as corn fields passed us by.

"Will we ever come back?" I asked.

"I'm not sure Honey," my mother said.

"I'm going to miss this place," I said with a frown.

"I know Sakuya so will we," my father said as we pulled out onto the highway. I mean we both grew up here everyone we know is here," he continued.

We drove for a few hours before we stopped at an upcoming rest stop. "We're going to stop here for a little while and stretch our legs for a bit," my father said.

"Okay," I said as my mother helped me out of the car. I looked at my surroundings and saw a lot of trees. "Where are we?" I asked.

"We're about 40 or so miles from the border with Pennsylvania," my father said looking at a map. We tested for another twenty minutes before we got back into the car a got back on the highway.

We soon crossed the border into Pennsylvania. "This place isn't any different from home," I said as I looked out the window.

"When we're farther in you will start to see a change in a sceneory," my father said.

"What kind of things will I be seeing daddy?" I asked.

"Well back in Ohio it's mostly flat, but hear there's going to be a lot of hills and eventually there's going to be mountains," my mother said.

"I read about mountains I always wanted to see a mountain," I said in excitement. At this time I could read at the level of a second grader. I'm a very avid reader. (Author's note I took this from my actual life. When I was younger I could read at least two reading levels above my grade.)

"Well you'll be seeing them soon," my father said. I got a big grin on my face when he said that.

Hours went by and there weren't any mountains in site. "How much longer till we'll see any mountains?" I asked.

"Not that much longer Sakuya," my mother said. True to her word we began to cross the Application mountain range. I was actually really dispointed at the site. "Not what I was expecting," I said in a dispointed tone.

"Well these mountains are very high, but the ones out east are a lot bigger," my father said.

"Are they more majestic then these ones?" I asked.

"Oh they're definitely more majestic then these, and they're a lot bigger then these ones. My eyes got sparkles in them.

"Will we ever get a chance to see them?" I asked.

"Maybe some day you'll get to see a lot of interesting places," my father said.
Little did he know he was going to be very right. The trip took a few more hours. I fell asleep shortly before we got there.

"Sakuya wake up we're here," my mother said in a quiet tone. I slowly opened up my eyes to see a two story house.

"Is this where we're going to live?" I asked.

"Yes it is," my mother said.

"It's so much smaller then our old home," I said.

"Well homes here are quite expensive so we got the cheapest we cold find," my father said.

"But there is still enough room for all of us and our stuff," my mother said.

"That's always a good thing," I said.

"You know a lot smarter then most four-year olds you know that right?" my father asked me. I just nodded my head.

"Every child learns at different paces honey," my mother said.

"Yes that may be true, but we both know that she's no ordinary child," my father said. My mother just nodded her head.

It didn't take long for us to get everything settled into our new home. I would be starting school in a year so we went to take a look at the school I would be going to.

There I meet my first friend. His name was Cristian Vaché he is the same age as I am. We even have similar interests like chess we're both pretty capable players. When both agreed when we got to middle school we would bothjoin the school chess club.

11 years later

It's been eleven years since me and my parents moved from Ohio to Conneticut and I became friends with Cristian. We never got to the point of a boyfriend and girlfriend relationship.

We just have a really close bond. At the moment Cristian was playing in the school chess tournament for the right to represent our school in the state tournament next month. It was almost me, but he got me in a tight spot and got me in checkmark the previous round.

"Checkmate my good friend," Cristian said as he moved his Queen into the spot to win the match.

"Gahh that's six times I've lost to you," Sean Smith the club president said as he cleared off the remaking pieces off the board.

"What I say I just really good," Cristian said as he to cleared the board.

"That is an understatement both you and Sakuya are the best chess players I have ever played against," Sean said. Cristian and I both blushed from embarrassment.

"Sakuya how many times have I told you to call me Sean," Sean said.

"Sorry Sean I just can't help, but to call you Club President," I said putting my head down in shame.

"Well congradulations are in order for you Cristian," Mr.Traits the teacher who runs the club. "You are now the school representative for the state chess tournament taking place next month," Mr.Traits continued.

"Thank you Mr.Traits," Cristian said.

"Your welcome I'll let the office know so that they can announce it during the announcement on Monday morning," Mr.Traits said. Cristian just nodded his head.

"Okay boys and girls that's all we got for today we will meet next Wednesday for our normal routine," Mr. Traits said.

With that we all filed out of the club room and all went our separate ways.

Except me and Cristian we were going to go to my house to do homework and make sure that Cristian is prepared for his upcoming tournament. Little did I know that today was the day he found out my secret and everything was about to change for the worse.

And done that took forever. This is going to be the hardest story I am going to be writing so far because, it will be all original. I hope you all enjoy it. The next chapter is going to be titled 'Secrets Revealed'.
