I don't generally prefer to include character biographies when I write, it's not really the aesthetic I'm looking for and I think they're difficult to make meaningful without spoiling some of the plot. And I could always stand to add more detail SOMEWHERE, but this was originally meant to be just a brief setup for the situation and it turned into 12K+ words.
